Abstract

In the current era, technological advances have significantly transformed the way we communicate. Communication has become faster, more convenient, and user-friendly. The widespread accessibility of the internet across various societal groups has had a profound impact on the media landscape. This research focuses on the analysis of discourse content in the " Friends Story "segment on Hirotada Radifan's YouTube channel. Abstract

This study aims to explore the discourse of myth and suicide fatality depicted in the film Lamun Sumelang. Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis theory is used in this study and based on the results of the analysis, the film Lamun Sumelang basically interprets the myth as a belief that develops among the people in Gunung Kidul and becomes a cultural culture even though the myth cannot be proven scientifically. The myth of pulung gantung is considered a bad omen. Meanwhile, suicide fatality in the film Lamun Sumelang is depicted as a manifestation of despair, loneliness, and giving up on circumstances. However, on the other hand, it also illustrates the desire for other people's attention to the situation at hand.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the stages of social penetration in women in building intimacy through the Bumble application where women are in control in starting conversations and in relationships. The method used is descriptive research with qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted with five informants who are active users of the Bumble online dating application. This study uses a supporting theory, namely social penetration by Altman & Taylor. Based on the results of the study, there are four stages of social penetration that are passed through by active users of the Bumble online dating application, namely orientation, affective exploration, affective exchange and stable exchange. However, not all informants can go through all stages and form new relationships (dating). This happens because in the process of the stages there is a mismatch at each stage, which causes the process of social depentration, or withdrawal. Unwanted factors and mismatches from informants cause the relationship to end, making the relationship unromantic or just friendship

Activities carried out include material presentation, case examples, practice and evaluation.  The result of the MBKM Mandiri Fikomm Community Service UMBY activity in 2024 is that participants slowly understand the use of social media. In addition, participants can learn how social media functions, trends that are currently on the rise, and learn how it impacts both personally and professionally. Thus, the implementation method provides a good understanding and skills to workshop participants in gaining knowledge related to how to use social media as a bridge in their business. Through the right platform, the understanding of digitalization workshops obtained by participants, active communities, and quality content produced will be a benchmark for successful acquisition and utilization related to digitalization.
