Abstract

Indonesia is a country with extraordinary ethnic and cultural diversity, where each ethnic group has its own unique language and traditions. This research aims to explore the interaction between language and culture in the context of ethnic minority communities in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach through literature analysis from previous research and field reports. The results show that ethnic languages play an important role in maintaining cultural identity and social cohesion among minority communities. Language is used in various cultural contexts, such as traditional rituals and religious ceremonies, as well as in everyday life to maintain cultural values. Challenges faced include the dominance of Indonesian and globalization, which reduces the use of ethnic languages among the younger generation. However, there are various revitalization efforts through education, social media and digital technology to preserve their language and culture. In conclusion, the interaction of language and culture in ethnic minority communities in Indonesia is a complex and dynamic phenomenon, requiring support from the government and educational institutions for sustainable preservation.

Abstract

Television advertising is a form of promotion of products, services or brands delivered via television channels. They are usually short videos shown between regular programs. The main purpose of advertising on television is to influence viewers to buy the product or use the service being advertised. Television advertising often uses a variety of marketing techniques, including narration, music, attractive visuals, and celebrities, to attract viewers' attention and increase the appeal of the product or service being promoted. Advertising is an inseparable part of television media. Human life today cannot be separated from the influence of television. Various information can be obtained quickly. To meet the entertainment needs of humans or television viewers, television always inserts advertising shows. Besides having commercial purposes, advertising also has information value contained in it. Advertisers, both private and government, try to introduce and encourage people to do what the advertisers hope for. Advertising via television has various advantages compared to other types of media which include wide reach, selectivity and flexibility, focus of attention, creativity and effect, prestige, and a certain time (Andrianto, 2018).

Abstract

The application of an appropriate learning model to a particular material will make it a successful achievement. The purpose of this research is to explore and describe the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in teaching the material of hikayat texts and short stories through video projects in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Mojokerto. This study uses both primary and secondary data sources. The primary data was obtained from student participation in the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model, while the secondary data includes various relevant literatures, journals, and previous studies. Based on observations, the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Mojokerto has shown positive results and supports the development of students' skills in understanding the material. The use of video projects as part of PjBL has successfully attracted students' interest, encouraging them to be more active and creative in learning about Hikayat texts and short stories. Overall, the implementation of the PjBL learning model in the teaching of Hikayat texts and short stories at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Mojokerto has proven successful in improving the quality of learning and students' skills.

Abstract

Culrricullum changes are part of improving the education systelm in Indonesia. This study outlines the role of the principal in implementing the independent curricullum at SD Islam Al Azhar. This study was conducted to investigate thel professionalism of school principals in implementing the independent curricullum. This  type  of  research  is  descriptive  qualitative  using  phenomenological  analysis.  Data  were  collected  by interviewing   school   principals, curricullum representatives, and independent   curricullum implementing teachers.  The  results  showld  that  the  implementation  of  the  independent  curricullum  madel  teachers  more professional through various kinds of coaching and training. Principals carry out their roles as mediators and motivators for teacher participation in curricullum training. The principal also acts as a participant in regullar meetings  or  discussions.  The  principal  is  also  a  supervisor  and  evaluator  in  the  implementation  of  the independent curricullum. The factor faced by the principal is the lack of smooth internet neltwork as a means for teachers to use technology in learning smoothy. The expected results of the theories in the research are taken  into  consideration  by  school  principals  to make  decisions  in  answering  problems  and  improving  the qulality or qulality of eldulcation through the implementation of an independent curricullum.
