Abstract

The Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model is learning about the connection between the material being studied by students and the students' living environment. Student learning outcomes are a manifestation of learning behavior which is usually manifested in the form of student changes. And student success can be seen in monitoring the learning process. This thesis research uses a case study type of research and the research approach is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of the contextual teaching and learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the moral aqidah subject at MAN 3 Jombang is: 1). The implementation of the CTL learning model at MAN 3 Jombang, namely that learning must be contextualized with everyday life, 2). The implementation of the CTL learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the moral aqidah subject at MAN 3 Jombang is that basically in a lesson it must be practiced, and practiced is what is called contextual. In delivering lesson material, examples are also given from real stories from the teacher's daily life or phenomena that are currently hotly discussed on social media, 3). Supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the CTL learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the moral aqidah subject at MAN 3 Jombang, namely the supporting factors are adequate infrastructure and increasing teacher competency. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is stimulating students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This article describes the strategies or methods of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in fostering the religious mentality of students at MAN 1 Jombang. This approach uses a qualitative approach with a type of phenomenological research. The technique in data collection is carried out using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of the study show that: 1) This study shows that the religious mentality of students at MAN 1 Jombang is good and will continue to develop. 2) Teacher's Strategy in Fostering Students' Religious Mentality, namely using a strategy of direct approach to students. 3) The supporting factor for the teacher's strategy in fostering the religious mentality of students is that many students are from previous madrasah graduates, so they already understand their obligation to be a student in obeying the rules of the madrasah, and as a devout Muslim in worship, the inhibiting factor is because the large number of students in the madrasah is sometimes difficult to manage them.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in Fiqh subjects at MA Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Seblak Jombang. Additionally, it highlights how this strategy affects students' enthusiasm and learning motivation. The research examines three main aspects: the strategy for implementing the CTL model, the level of student learning motivation, and the relationship between the CTL strategy and the increase in motivation within the context of Fiqh learning.To investigate the phenomena under study, this research adopts a qualitative inquiry approach characterized by an in-depth case study. Essential data was collected through a series of meticulous observations, intensive face-to-face dialogues with school leaders, Fiqh teachers, and students, complemented by a review of relevant documents. The research was conducted at MA Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Seblak Jombang, which has actively implemented the CTL model in Fiqh learning. The researcher directly served as the primary instrument in collecting field data, interpreting findings, and analyzing the relationships between variables.The study reveals that the CTL model plays a crucial role in boosting students' learning enthusiasm. They demonstrated fervent spirit, actively asked questions, and took greater responsibility in mastering Fiqh material, given its inseparable relevance to the validity of their worship. The school also supported this method by providing facilities for practical worship, such as actual practice of wudu, shalat, and even funeral arrangements. The CTL learning model in Fiqh studies proved effective not only in honing cognitive intelligence but also in comprehensively instilling religious character and practical worship skills in students.
