Abstract

Livestock-based tourism villages are one option in developing village potential. Apart from being a significant source of income for local communities, it is also able to develop the agricultural and livestock sectors, able to improve the local economy and create jobs for its residents. Tourists who visit villages not only have a direct economic impact obtained from visiting fees and purchasing local products, but can also strengthen small and medium businesses operating around the village. Batu Kuta Village, West Lombok has a village land area of around 40,000 m2 which is called Kebon doe, which is currently a garden area planted with coconut and fruit plants which are no longer productive and have potential, so community service (PKM) is very necessary, related to the preparation of appropriate structuring and management strategies through the preparation of concepts and models for livestock-based tourism villages. The PKM method is implemented using the methods of observation, planning, implementation, follow-up, evaluation and mentoring. Mapping of village potential, preparation of concepts and models for the livestock-based Batu Kuta tourism village were carried out in coordination with the village government and local community. The concept and model of a livestock-based tourism village has the potential to be adopted and realized in Batu Kuta Village. Achievement of the objectives of this PKM activity reached 100% and 98% of participants were satisfied with the overall activity. Evaluation is carried out during the process and at the end of the activity, as well as giving questionnaires to participants. The role of all parties, especially youth organizations, Pokdarwis members, village government and the community as well as assistance from practitioners and academics, is expected to continue to actively participate and be communicative and cooperate with each other in facing concerns and challenges regarding the sustainability of the development of livestock-based tourism villages.

Abstract

The digital era demands innovation in English language learning that not only focuses on linguistic competence but also integrates cultural literacy and soft skills. Web-based collaborative learning platforms become a solution to create an authentic and interactive learning environment. This study aims to develop the initial KITABOOKA platform as a collaborative English learning medium that integrates cultural literacy and soft skills through a web-based mentoring program using the Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE model. The research uses an R&D approach with the ADDIE model. However, in this study, we only use the first three stages (Analysis, Design, Development). Data were collected through surveys, interviews, and observations from 25 respondents consisting of students, university students, lecturers, and English teachers. Based on the analysis of user needs, this platform needs to be equipped with key features such as a learning module, English language learning activities, cultural literacy features, soft skills enhancement features, digital mentoring system features, and other general supporting features. Additionally, validation by seven experts showed that the initial design of the KITABOOKA platform received an average score of 4.55, categorized as very valid, covering aspects of content, appearance, technical, pedagogical, and usability. The analysis of the needs from users and experts indicates that the KITABOOKA platform already meets the feasibility standards as a collaborative digital learning platform and is ready to proceed to the limited testing phase in the next study.

Abstract

The quality of cocoa fruit is an important factor in supporting productivity and market value in the agricultural sector. The determination of superior cocoa fruit, which has so far been done manually, is still subjective and inefficient. This study aims to develop an expert system to classify superior cocoa fruit using the Fuzzy Logic method with the Mamdani approach, based on physical parameters such as length, width, weight  and number of seeds. The research was conducted in Genggelang Village, Senara Hamlet, North Lombok, using 50 cocoa fruit samples from various varieties. The system was designed using the Python programming language and a MySQL database and tested through the black box method and performance evaluation using a confusion matrix. The classification results show that the system is capable of identifying superior cocoa fruits with an accuracy of 71.7%. The high recall value for the 'superior' class indicates good system sensitivity, although precision can still be improved. Misclassifications generally occur in physical parameters that lie on the borderline between categories. This study demonstrates that the fuzzy logic method is effective in enhancing the objectivity and efficiency of cocoa fruit classification. The developed system can serve as a potential tool to support decision-making in technology-based agriculture.
