Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is a weekly mandatory subject often taught through lectures, resulting in passive student engagement and a lack of creativity. This study explores an innovative interdisciplinary approach to PAI at Bustanul Ulum Islamic Elementary School, integrating it with subjects like natural and social sciences, civics, Indonesian language, and mathematics. The research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, using interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis involves data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that the interdisciplinary approach makes PAI more engaging and meaningful, reducing student boredom. Effective implementation requires competent teachers and collaboration among subject teachers for integration

Abstract

Student independence in elementary schools is still considered low because many students rely on teachers to learn and more brilliant friends to work on questions. The culture of cheating when working on exam questions reflects that students lack confidence in their abilities. This study aims to provide an overview of using the Wordwall application as a learning medium for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in developing the independent character of elementary school students. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method with data from interviews, observations, and documentation. This study found that the Wordwall application increased student engagement through interactive features that motivated and enriched the learning experience. Wordwall also supported students' self-directed learning by providing instant feedback, allowing them to explore and understand concepts independently. This application helped develop learning discipline and critical thinking skills through trial-and-error mechanisms. For optimization, Wordwall should be combined with other learning methods and integrated into a broader pedagogical approach to support the internalization of independent and disciplined characters in students' lives. The contribution of this study is to show the effectiveness of the Wordwall application in increasing student engagement and self-directed learning through its interactive features. This study recommends the integration of Wordwall with other learning methods to support the development of students' discipline and critical thinking skills more effectively.

Abstract

Abstract

Education is the main key to the nation's progress, and efforts to strengthen the quality of education must continue to be guaranteed so that Indonesia is competitive in this era of globalization. The role of educators and the learning process is an important part of determining the quality of education. Based on the results of interviews with researchers, 16 teachers of MI AR ROUDHOH Jember showed that 30% of the teachers in the school out of a total of 30 teachers in the school had not done item analysis and the rest had done item analysis. questions but have not been developed to determine the difficulty level of the questions. Based on the results of these interviews, the researcher felt the need to find out the quality of the items and the abilities of elementary school students, especially MI AR ROUDHOH Jember. The research conducted was in the form of evaluation research. This study used a quantitative descriptive method to analyze the index of difficulty level, validity and reliability of the items being tested as well as the ability level of class VI students, that out of 25 questions there were 5 questions in the category of easy, very easy and moderate in the sense that students were able to answer questions (question number 1,2,7,13,24), 5 questions in the difficult category (questions number 5,6 8,9,11) and 15 questions in the very difficult category

Abstract

This study investigates how Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ar-Roudhoh in Jember integrates religious culture to strengthen Aqidah Akhlak (moral theology) education. Using qualitative, descriptive field research, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that the implementation of religious culture at MI Ar-Roudhoh is systematically planned to enhance students' understanding of moral theology. In the classroom, activities are structured to deepen comprehension, while outside the classroom, religious practices reinforce this learning. These activities include habituation, modeling, and internalization of religious values. The result is a positive impact on students' attitudes, reflected in their cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development.

Abstract

Background: This research stems from the problem of learning mathematics, which is still considered scary and difficult. Less varied learning methods make this learning boring for students. Through the development of this Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model based on Jember's typical prol tape ethnomathematics, students enjoy learning more.Aim: This research aims to develop an RME learning model based on ethnomathematics "prol tape" typical of Jember City in improving the understanding of the concept of fractions of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students.Method: This research is a kind of R&D (Research and Development) development research, using the 4-D development model (four D models) developed by Thiagarajan. This research was conducted at MI Ar-Roudhoh in the even semester of the academic year 2023/2024, with the research subjects being grade 2 teachers and grade 2 students. Data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation.Result: The results showed that the percentage of students' learning completeness, namely 86.36%, met the criteria so that the developed products were effective for use. The obtained average N-gain value of 0.77 is in the high category, indicating that the application of the ethnomathematics based RME learning model can improve students' concept understanding ability on fraction material. Students' responses also showed a positive response, besides knowing the story, this media can make it easier for them to learn fraction material. Conclusion: This research can provide insight into how an RME learning model can be developed by integrating mathematics with local culture. The conclusions drawn here contribute to a broader understanding of the RME learning model in mathematics learning, providing a new perspective by innovating learning strategies used in educational practice.
