Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain the importance of communication literacy and political education, especially for Gen Z. Especially in the conditions of the political year, communication literacy and political education are guidelines for Gen Z so that they can respond more rationally to their political year. This is important because many Gen Z people are not politically literate, so sometimes political frenzy can expose them to criminal charges. For this reason, communication literacy and political education are important to equip them so they can continue to exist in the political year. This service method uses an active participation approach where this program involves students at SMKN 1 Blado. In its implementation, service members carry out initial observations, location determination, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of the service program. The results of the service program show that students are very enthusiastic and interested in the political education material presented. They feel that they are still very unfamiliar with politics, so this service program is a source of knowledge for them. Moreover, Gen Z needs literacy. Apart from that, they were also very active in discussing questions and answers, especially how Gen Z behaves politically and rationally in determining their political choices to produce optimal impacts for them.

Abstract

The quality of human resources has an important role in encouraging development progress. Regions that have advanced development are usually reflected in one indicator of human development. Therefore, each region continues to compete to increase its HDI index in order to show the level of success of its regional development. The purpose of this article is to discuss the promotion and education of higher education through expo campus activities at MAN 01 Batang. This activity was motivated by the lack of HDI in Batang Regency. The interest of the people of Batang Regency in continuing higher education is still low. This can be seen from BPS statistical data that the HDI in Batang Regency in the 2020-2022 period is still 69-nan. This service method uses an educational promotion approach with a queuing system from class to class. The service team uses brochures, lectures, and also uses a projector screen in activities. To oversee the progress of the event, each student carries a control card so they are required to attend this event until the end. The results show that this activity is able to increase students' interest in continuing to higher education. At first they did not think about continuing to college after they finished school. However, after this activity they were motivated to continue their studies. In fact, they are optimistic that by attending college they will indirectly contribute to increasing the HDI in Batang Regency which is still low).

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas praktik komunikasi yang dijalankan oleh platform digital dalam pengumpulan dan pemanfaatan data konsumen, dengan fokus pada perspektif etika komunikasi dan aspek hukum perlindungan data pribadi. Di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital, data konsumen menjadi komoditas strategis yang sering kali digunakan tanpa pemahaman utuh dari pihak pengguna. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan kajian literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis sejauh mana prinsip-prinsip komunikasi etis—seperti transparansi, kejujuran, dan tanggung jawab—dilaksanakan oleh platform digital saat menyampaikan informasi mengenai penggunaan data. Di samping itu, penelitian ini juga meninjau keberadaan dan efektivitas regulasi hukum di Indonesia terkait perlindungan data pribadi, serta bagaimana regulasi tersebut mendukung atau belum mendukung terciptanya komunikasi yang etis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar platform digital belum sepenuhnya menerapkan prinsip komunikasi etis dalam praktiknya, terutama dalam aspek penyampaian informasi dan mekanisme persetujuan pengguna. Di sisi lain, regulasi yang ada masih mengalami tantangan dalam hal implementasi dan penegakan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi antara pendekatan etis dalam komunikasi dan kepastian hukum untuk menjamin perlindungan hak-hak konsumen di era digital.
