Abstract

The fast-growing technology on social media has changed the behavior of the public in receiving information. Today's social media use in Indonesia is growing so rapidly every year. According to Melansir Data Reportal, by 2023, there are 167 million social media users out of 153 million over the age of 18, which is 79.5% of the total population. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of digital branding and positioning strategies carried out by the University of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi with the approach of auditing communication using the method of SOSTAC. The results of this study show that the University has not yet had a field of human rights, so UMKO's identity is not maximum, branding, and postitoning are not well managed and the use of social media especially Instagram is not maximal even can be passively regulated.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain the importance of communication literacy and political education, especially for Gen Z. Especially in the conditions of the political year, communication literacy and political education are guidelines for Gen Z so that they can respond more rationally to their political year. This is important because many Gen Z people are not politically literate, so sometimes political frenzy can expose them to criminal charges. For this reason, communication literacy and political education are important to equip them so they can continue to exist in the political year. This service method uses an active participation approach where this program involves students at SMKN 1 Blado. In its implementation, service members carry out initial observations, location determination, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of the service program. The results of the service program show that students are very enthusiastic and interested in the political education material presented. They feel that they are still very unfamiliar with politics, so this service program is a source of knowledge for them. Moreover, Gen Z needs literacy. Apart from that, they were also very active in discussing questions and answers, especially how Gen Z behaves politically and rationally in determining their political choices to produce optimal impacts for them.

Abstract

Political decentralization has brought great changes in the form of challenges and opportunities. In the context of the challenges of decentralization, it requires regions to clean up, organize, and fix regional problems. However, it must be used as an instrument to solve economic problems, one of which is inflation in the regions. Kulon Progo Regency is one of the role models that has an economic instrument in mitigating the risk of inflation. This arrangement is stated in the Bela Beli Kulon Progo policy. This policy uses an approach to strengthen the local economy so that it can stimulate the growth of people's per capita income. This study examines these issues using a qualitative approach with library research methods. It uses the theory proposed by the decentralization and inflation approach proposed by Treisman. The results show that strengthening the local economy had the power to mitigate the risk of inflation in regions. The strengthening of the local economy was seen in the increasing level of people's income and regional income which resulted in stronger economic growth. However, inflation is a serious threat to the regional economy if people's incomes are fixed and there is economic instability. Bela Beli Kulon Progo movement improved the local economy of Kulon Progo. Various programs of Bela Beli became the basis for the strong economic support of the district so that inflation could be controlled. On this basis, the movement becomes an instrument as well as a role model in mitigating the risk of regional inflation. This study, therefore, contributes to the study of local movement and inflation in the regional contexts.

Abstract

This article examines the constitutional deviation of the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024 in two news media, Kompas.com and CNNIndonesia.com. The research uses Robert Entman's four framing elements and 21 news articles from Kompas.com and CNNIndonesia.com. Results show Kompas.com raises issues supporting Anwar Usman's vice presidential nomination, while CNNIndonesia.com addresses deficiencies in the decision sent by Usman, resulting in eight judges rejecting changes in age limit requirements.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk Kuliah Umum Internasional bertema Reposisi Universitas Swasta: Memperkuat Integritas Ilmiah di Era Digital diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Selamat Sri (UNISS) dengan menghadirkan narasumber internasional, Prof. Ronald A. Lukens-Bull. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membangun kesadaran kolektif di kalangan dosen, mahasiswa, dan tenaga kependidikan bahwa integritas ilmiah bukan sekadar aturan formal, tetapi bagian dari budaya akademik yang harus diinternalisasi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi tematik, diskusi interaktif, tanya jawab, dan refleksi bersama. Subtema yang dibahas mencakup Makna Reposisi Universitas Swasta di Era Digital, Integritas Ilmiah sebagai Pilar Keunggulan Akademik, Tantangan dan Risiko Era Digital terhadap Integritas Ilmiah, Strategi Implementasi di Universitas Swasta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran kritis peserta terhadap urgensi integrasi literasi digital dan nilai etika akademik dalam kurikulum, peningkatan pemahaman terhadap ancaman pelanggaran integritas ilmiah, serta terbentuknya komitmen kelembagaan untuk mengembangkan kebijakan internal berbasis teknologi dan etika. Dampak nyata dari kegiatan ini meliputi penguatan jejaring internasional, perumusan rekomendasi strategis untuk reformulasi kebijakan kampus, dan pembentukan budaya akademik yang berintegritas. Kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa reposisi universitas swasta di era digital tidak hanya berfokus pada transformasi teknologi, tetapi juga pada pemeliharaan kualitas akademik yang berlandaskan kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan akuntabilitas ilmiah.
