Abstract

Student Entrepreneurship Assistance at the Highland Roastery and Jayapura Coffee House is an effort of the UOGP Development Economics Study Program to increase the entrepreneurial spirit of students and foster student entrepreneurship interest as a skill to create jobs when they graduate. The method in student mentoring activities is the first stage of preparing student entrepreneurship activities, secondly implementing student entrepreneurship activities, assisting in making reports on student entrepreneurship activities, and fourth evaluating student entrepreneurship mentoring activities. This student entrepreneurship activity was carried out during the Covid-19 period so that students could find out about the problems and efforts made by Business Partners to overcome the impact of Covid-19 Pendampingan kewirausahaan mahasiswa di Highland Roastery dan Rumah Kopi Jayapura sebagai upaya Program Studi Ekonomi Pembangunan UOGP untuk meningkatkan jiwa kewirausahaan dan menumbuhkan minat kewirausahaan mahasiswa untuk menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan setelah mereka lulus. Metode dalam kegiatan pendampingan mahasiswa dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan. Pertama, persiapan kegiatan kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Kedua, pelaksanaan kegiatan kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Ketiga, pendampingan pembuatan laporan kegiatan kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Keempat. evaluasi kegiatan pendampingan kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Kegiatan kewirausahaan mahasiswa ini dilakukan pada masa Covid-19 sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengetahui masalah dan upaya yang dilakukan mitra bisnis untuk mengatasi dampak Covid-19.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang sumber dan perdagangan buah pinang di Pasar Youtefa serta dampaknya terhadap berbagai aspek, termasuk lingkungan, kesehatan, dan ekonomi masyarakat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan, interaksi, dan dokumensi. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian besar buah pinang yang diperdagangkan di Pasar Youtefa berasal dari pertanian lokal di sekitar Jayapura. Para petani lokal mengumpulkan buah pinang dari perkebunan mereka dan menjualnya di pasar. Proses perdagangan melibatkan petani lokal, pedagang grosir, pedagang eceran, dan konsumen dengan berbagai bentuk pengelompokan buah pinang dan harga yang beragam. Sedangan dampak buah pinang terhadap lingkungan terkait dengan masalah ludah pinang yang ditinggalkan sembarangan, menyebabkan noda yang sulit dihilangkan. Dampak lannya terhadap kesehatan mencakup masalah mulut seperti masalah gigi dan gusi, serta risiko kanker mulut akibat konsumsi berlebihan buah pinang. Sementara ekonominya adalah perdagangan buah pinang memberikan sumber pendapatan tambahan, terutama bagi petani, namun harga buah pinang dapat fluktuatif. Buah pinang juga memiliki nilai budaya yang tinggi dalam budaya Papua, dengan mengunyah sirih pinang menjadi praktik penting dalam upacara adat dan pertemuan sosial, serta memiliki makna simbolis yang mendalam.

Abstract

Street vendors in the VIM Village are feeling the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, such as a relatively high decrease in turnover, a decrease in consumer purchasing power, and a reduction in the workforce. The purpose of this study was to find out the general description of street vendors in VIM Kelurahan, find out the obstacles faced by street vendors in VIM Village during the Covid-19 period, and find out the efforts made by street vendors in VIM Village to maintain their business during the Covid-19 period. The results of this descriptive qualitative research show that the efforts of street vendors in the VIM Village, Jayapura City, to maintain their business during the Covid-19 pandemic included: (a) making new products; (b) conduct promotional cooperation with other business actors; (c) don't stop selling; and, (d) empowering incentive assistance from the government.

Abstract

Sagu, tumbuhan yang mengandung beragam potensi, menjadi fokus penelitian penting di Papua. Sagu tidak hanya menjadi makanan pokok pengganti nasi tetapi juga memiliki peran signifikan dalam industri, budaya, dan kesehatan. Namun, pemanfaatan sagu masih terbatas, terutama karena ketergantungan pada beras. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merinci potensi multifungsi sagu dan bagaimana pengelolaan berkelanjutan dapat mendukungnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi potensi ekonomi sagu sebagai sumber pangan dan industri, memahami peran sosial dan budaya sagu dalam masyarakat Papua, dan mengeksplorasi manfaat kesehatan dari berbagai bagian pohon sagu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka sebagai metode utama. Identifikasi literatur relevan dilakukan, dengan analisis menyeluruh serta sintesis informasi dari berbagai sumber daya literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sagu memiliki potensi besar dalam aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan kesehatan. Sagu dapat menjadi sumber pangan dan bahan industri yang signifikan, dengan beragam produk olahan sagu yang dapat mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi. Di sisi sosial, sagu memiliki makna simbolis dalam budaya Papua, memperkuat identitas budaya dan memfasilitasi hubungan sosial yang positif. Selain itu, sagu juga memiliki potensi kesehatan yang belum banyak dieksplorasi, dengan berbagai bagian pohon sagu yang dapat digunakan untuk pengobatan tradisional. Kesimpulannya, sagu adalah sumber daya multifungsi yang memiliki nilai dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan di Papua. Dengan pengembangan kebijakan yang mendukung pengelolaan berkelanjutan, potensi sagu dapat dioptimalkan. Hal ini akan mendukung pemanfaatan yang lebih luas serta keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang potensi sagu, diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat Papua dan pelestarian budaya serta lingkungan di wilayah tersebut.

Abstract

Red Ginger is used by the community as an herbal medicine that serves to increase endurance and is able to overcome sore throat, flu and fever as well as stomach disorders. The increasing public interest in consuming red ginger, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic was be an opportunity for small business owner to make processed products made from ginger with economic value, namely herbal drinks in the form of instant powder. The purpose of this Community Service activity was to provide training on Financial Management and Digital Marketing as an effort to increase business income for instant ginger powder drinks at IKM Papua Muda Kreatif. The methods used in this community service activity were the speech, discussions and training on financial management, making simple financial reports, digitalization marketing strategies and the use of social media to support promotional and marketing activities. The result of this community service activity that IKM Papua Muda Kreatif was able to make simple financial reports and utilize digital marketing as a marketing strategy to increase business income.

Abstract

Financial management is a process that involves planning, organizing, supervising, controlling and reporting financial activities carried out by individuals, families, organizations or government agencies. The purpose of this financial management assistance is to improve the ability of cash holders. The method of implementing this service is to provide training and assistance to cash holders. The results of this service activity are 1). Cash holders and congregation managers need a better understanding of financial management and ways to overcome common obstacles. 2). There needs to be assistance in managing the congregation's finances in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of financial management for cash holders. 3). It is necessary to make clear financial management very important to ensure that the congregation's finances are well managed. 4). Abstract

Transportation is very important, because it is the lifeblood of economic, social, political, cultural and Defense and Security. Bridges as transportation infrastructure have dominant benefits for traffic drivers. Prior to the existence of the Youtefa Bridge as an alternative link between Jayapura - Muara Tami - Keerom, the condition of activities prior to the existence of the Youtefa Bridge, community activities and economic activities in Jayapura City only used one road, namely Jalan Nafri as the only main connecting route. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the Youtefa Bridge on MSMEs in the Teluk Youtefa Muara Tami District, Jayapura City. A qualitative descriptive research method with an inductive approach as well as observation, interviews, interviews and online data tracking in data collection techniques. The research results show that there are two impacts from the construction of the Youtefa Bridge, namely the positive impact and the negative impact. Positive impact, the establishment of new businesses such as; restaurants, cafes, shop houses, hotels, beach resorts, kiosks and stalls. Other positive impacts include building new offices, building BTN housing, renovating main roads and becoming a location for exercise. Meanwhile, the negative impact of the construction of the Youtefa Bridge was that the SMEs that were previously in Nafri, Kampung Pisang and Koya experienced a decrease in income, so some of them moved to a new business location, namely in Holtekamp Panjang. Another negative impact is that sometimes accidents often occur. At night there are no lights so it is prone to robbery

Abstract

This research explores the tourism potential of Lake Love in Jayapura, Papua Province, with an emphasis on the crucial role of natural tourism in the country's tourism industry. While the uniqueness of this destination attracts interest, its development represents several challenges that require special attention. The first main obstacle is the need for environmental maintenance, because the beauty of Lake Cinta is very dependent on the preservation of the surrounding environment, where a lack of maintenance can reduce its tourist attraction. The second barrier covers local economic and development potential, requiring effective management to maximize economic benefits for local communities, including the development of tourism infrastructure. The lack of tourism promotion is an additional obstacle, requiring greater efforts to increase the visibility of Jayapura City as an attractive destination in Indonesia, which has the potential to increase tourist visits. This research aims to design a strategy for developing Love Lake tourism in Jayapura and identify obstacles and challenges in developing Love Lake tourism in Jayapura. The method used is a descriptive analysis approach. Research results show that 1). environmental preservation and cleanliness of tourist areas. 2). infrastructure development is needed, 3). promotion and marketing, 4). strategies involving the development of diverse tourism activities, 5). training and education for tour guides and local residents, 6). active collaboration with local communities, 7). Investment diversification, and 8). feedback and evaluation from visitors.

Abstract

IKM Papua Muda Kreatif is a small company that focuses on the production of instant ginger. They carry out the instant ginger production process starting from the selection of raw ginger to packaging and distribution. The business income of IKM Papua Muda Kreatif fluctuates due to external factors, such as changes in market demand, special events or events, and other factors that affect sales of instant ginger. This study aims to describe the production of instant ginger at IKM Papua Muda Creative, to find out the efforts to increase instant ginger production at IKM Papua Muda Creative and to find out the constraints faced by IKM Papua Muda Creative in running their business. The research method used is direct observation, interviews with owners and workers of IKM, as well as analysis of IKM income data over a certain period. The results of the study show that the description of instant ginger production at IKM Papua Muda Kreatif is carried out through several steps; Selection of raw ginger, cleaning and peeling, slicing or chopping, drying, grinding, packaging, and storage and distribution. Efforts to increase instant ginger production are carried out through looking for references, choosing good raw materials, maintaining a stable fire, looking for interested workers, and attending training. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by Creative Papuan IKM in running their business are Finance, Marketing and Lack of Human Resources (HR).
