Abstract

This study is a quantitative, quasi-experimental investigation into how the Number Head Together learning approach affects students' learning outcomes. A class V student population and a "pretest-posttest control group design" were used in this investigation. The multiple-choice cognitive question used as the study's instrument was one that has undergone validity and reliability testing. The N-Gain test findings indicate that the outcomes, with a percentage score of 54%, fall into the less effective category. The findings of the Shapiro-Wilk test, which was used to test the data, revealed that they were regularly distributed. The data is homogeneous in the ANOVA test, which has a sig. of 0.980 and already exceeds 0.05. The study's findings indicate that the NHT learning model has a significant impact on students' learning outcomes if the computed t value in the independent sample test is greater than the t table and H0 is rejected and H1 is approved.

Abstract

This study aims to develop English writing skills through the use of short stories for grade XI students of SMA N Amanuban Timur. Writing in English is an important skill that students must master, both for academic purposes and daily life. However, many students face difficulties in organizing ideas in a structured manner and mastering the use of appropriate vocabulary and grammar. Therefore, the use of short stories as a learning method is an effective and interesting solution to improve writing skills. This method involves several stages, starting from analyzing the structure of short stories, selecting themes that match students' interests, to the process of writing stories. In addition, peer review or peer feedback sessions are conducted to provide constructive feedback, which allows students to improve and develop their writing. The results of this study showed that the short story approach successfully improved students' writing skills, enriched their vocabulary, and increased their confidence in speaking and writing in English. Thus, this method can be an effective alternative in learning English at the high school level.

Abstract

The study aimed to propose a combined final framework for the development of Christian leaders. The research method used is qualitative with a document analysis approach. There are seven important themes found in the study, including Christian formation, servant leadership motives, personal formations, relational skills, intellectual skills, intrapersonal skills, and management skills. This discovery is an extension of previous research that found only five important themes, namely Christian formation, personal formation, relational skills, intellectual skills, and management skills. This study resulted in two important themes that complement the weaknesses or shortcomings of previous research, namely the motive of servant leadership and intrapersonal skills. The motive of servant leadership consists of serving, influencing, and improving, while intrapersonal skills include humility, credibility, and authenticity.

Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) merupakan lembaga ekonomi pedesaan dikelola pemerintah desa dalam rangka memberikan dukungan terhadap pelayanan pemerintah desa dan mensejahterakan masyarakat desa. Beberapa tujuan yang sangat urgen dari pendirian BUMDes, yaitu untuk (a) meningkatkan perekonomian desa; (b) mengoptimalkan aset desa agar bermanfaat bagi kesejahteraan desa dan; (c) membuka lapangan kerja. Data empirik tentang kegiatan BUMDes di desa Oabikase Kecamatan Insana Barat Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, baru sebatas penyewaan Sound Sistem, kursi, dan alat musik, padahal potensi yang dimiliki adalah pertanian, perkebunan, peternakan, dan kerajinan tenun ikat. BUMDes Oabikase sebenarnya dapat ditingkatkan lagi dan diperluas kegiatan usahanya, namun terkendala pada kapasitas kelembagaan BUMDes yang masih lemah. Solusi dari permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam rangka meningkatkan produktivitas dan efektivitas manajemen usaha dapat dilakukan dengan cara pengembangan kapasitas kelembagaan BUMDes Desa Oabikase. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim PPM Prodi Doktor Administrasi Publik Fisip Undana bertujuan memberikan Pendidikan kepada masyarakat berkaitan dengan Pengembangan Kapasitas Lembaga BUMDes, yang dilaksanakan di Desa Oabikase Kecamatan Insana Barat Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah memberikan Pendidikan kepada masyarakat (Pengurus BUMDes dan aparat Desa tentang pengembangan kapasitas organisasi yang terdiri dari penataan organisasi dan pengembangan ekonomi lembaga. Pelaksanaan PPM dinilai berhasil karena peserta dapat memahami konsep Penataan organisasi  dan pengembangan ekonomi lembaga. Selain keberhasilan pelaksanaan juga diukur dari tingkat kehadiran peserta PPM yang berjumlah 75 dari undangan yang telah disampaikan.

Abstract

Traditional sports are one of Indonesia's treasures that were born from community games and have been preserved to this day. The aim of this community service is to introduce and provide descriptions of traditional sports, especially traditional sports of East Nusa Tenggara among generation Z. The method of service is practice and mentoring. Community service activities were carried out at Pasir Panjang Beach, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara. The implementation of service activities with the title introduction of traditional sports among generation Z was attended by 48 generation Z people with different educational backgrounds, knowledge, ages and playing abilities. Details 1). 39 people from high school and 8 from middle school. The service results show that knowledge about traditional sports is very low. This is based on the service results of 48 students, only 3 of whom knew quite well while 45 people did not know at all during the pretest. Then we carried out an introduction followed by a posttest which proved that there were significant changes, only 2 people still experienced problems playing. In this way, the service concludes that traditional sports must be carried out continuously and in stages to maintain the existence of traditional sports among generation Z. Generation Z really hopes that these activities will be carried out in the field of education, especially sports carrying out activities related to traditional sports

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to empower young generations and housewives in Manulai II Village, Alak District, Kupang City, through the development of homemade shrimp paste sambal production as a creative economic opportunity. In the context of contemporary economic dynamics characterized by digitalization and changing consumption patterns, the micro-culinary sector offers significant potential for empowerment, although young generations and housewives often face limitations in access to technical knowledge, capital, and marketing strategies. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency of East Nusa Tenggara Province (2023), the fisheries sector contributes 12% to the regional GRDP, with abundant rebon fish production that has not yet been fully utilized innovatively. The main objectives of the activity are to enhance creative skills in shrimp paste sambal production, form independent micro-business groups, and contribute to inclusive local economic growth. The applied methods include a participatory approach with stages of preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation over six months, involving 30 participants and collaboration with local stakeholders. The results indicate a 75% increase in technical knowledge, the formation of 3-5 independent business groups with an initial sales volume of 200 kg per month, and an average 20-30% increase in household income. The discussion highlights the effectiveness of Freire's (1970) model in critical education and the relevance of Schumpeter's (1934) innovation theory in opening new market opportunities. The conclusion emphasizes that this initiative strengthens community economic resilience and supports sustainable development agendas, with recommendations for long-term monitoring to ensure business sustainability.
