Abstract

Students' ability in writing drama text is influenced by several factors that occur in learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of learning media and students' independence in learning on the skills of writing drama texts of students in class XI of SMAN 21 East Jakarta. This research used experimental method. The population in this study were all students of class XI of SMAN 21 East Jakarta. The research sample was conducted using Purposive Sampling technique as many as 60 students who were divided into two groups, where 30 students learned using family movie drama media and the other 30 people learned using conventional media. The instruments used in this study are: Learning independence questionnaire and drama text writing skill test. The results showed that the use of family film drama media gave better results in the aspects of learning independence and drama text writing skills. The use of conventional media makes students learn through several stages or indirectly. The use of family film drama media is recommended in learning to write drama texts because it can provide a direct picture and increase students' learning independence and motivation

Abstract

Students' ability to write poetry must be more meaningful, this will not happen if Indonesian language teachers still use conventional models in their learning. Breakthroughs such as Contextual Learning are needed so that learning to write poetry is more meaningful for students. The aim of the research is to determine the differences in the poetry writing abilities of students who study using Contextual Learning and conventional models at SMAN 1 Lembang. The research used in this research is experimental, with Non-equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control-Group Design. The population in this study was class X students of Senior High School 1 Lembang, totaling 10 classes. The sample was determined randomly, so classes X 3 and X 7 were determined, each with 31 students. The instrument uses the Poetry Writing Ability Test. Data analysis follows the following steps: 1) Normality test with p-value > 0.05, 2) Homogeneity test with p-value < 0.05, and 3) ANOVA test with p-value < 0.05. If the data is not normal or homogeneous then a Non-Parametric test is carried out using the Wilcoxxon and Mann-Whitney U tests. The research results show that the use of Contextual Learning in learning to write poetry provides better results when compared to conventional models.

Abstract

Kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami teks laporan hasil observasi tergolong masih rendah. Model TGT merupakan salah satu cara untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan memahami teks Laporan Hasil Observasi (LHO) dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) pada peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 21 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari tiga siklus yang mengacu pada model Kemmis dan McTaggart dengan empat tahapan, yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik kelas X SMAN 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model TGT sudah tepat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami teks LHO. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya nilai hasil belajar peserta didik yang mengalami peningkatan setiap siklus. Pada tes awal nilai rata-rata peserta didik sebesar 70 (sedang). Pada siklus 1 rata-rata ketuntasan peserta didik 62,85%. Siklus 2 rata-rata ketuntasan peserta didik 71,4%. Siklus 3 rata-rata ketuntasan peserta didik 88,57%. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Team Games Tournament dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman teks LHO pada peserta didik kelas X SMAN 21 Jakarta.
