Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah (ABS-SBK) remains deeply embedded in the idealized worldview of Minangkabau society in West Sumatra, serving as a foundational philosophy that harmonizes tradition and Islam. However, contemporary religious dynamics demand adaptation, particularly concerning religious moderation, as West Sumatra is often perceived as deficient in this aspect due to its strong religious identity. This study explores the strengthening of religious moderation through strategic initiatives based on ABS-SBK in three regencies—Tanah Datar, Agam, and Lima Puluh Kota—culturally known as Luhak Nan Tigo, the historical heartland of the Minangkabau ethnic group. Qualitative interviews reveal that each luhak responds to the challenges of modernity through distinct approaches: Tanah Datar relies on traditional authorities and historical sites, Agam reinforces its identity as a Madani (civilized) district, while Lima Puluh Kota emphasizes managing social diversity. This study argues that the Minangkabau people ought to ideally achieve a higher religious harmony index than their current standing. It seeks to position these efforts within the ABS-SBK framework as local wisdom, the identity of Islam as a minority, and its relation to maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah.

The purpose of this research is to assist the Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Ilmu Pelayaran (BP2IP) Malahayati to process data on the selection of the best employees to computerize the current system so that it can analyze and assist database processing activities at an even better level of effectiveness and efficiency, so that it is expected to be able to ; designing the best web-based Employee Decision Making System (DSS) Application program, the best Employee Decision Making System (DSS) system made in the form of a questionnaire with several alternatives and criteria as basic ingredients in data processing using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method, and generate reports - more detailed ranking reports, criteria, alternatives, and employees of each required data. Based on the results of the research and decision-making system using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method as the selection of the best employees at the Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Ilmu Pelayaran (BP2IP) Malahayati which has been carried out by the author, several conclusions can be drawn, namely; This research succeeded in creating a decision support system for evaluating the best employee selection at the Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Ilmu Pelayaran (BP2IP) Malahayati, and this research succeeded in conducting alternative rankings from the results of calculating the weight of employee scores using SAW (Simple Additive Weighting).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak komunikasi publik terhadap relasi sosial di komunitas perkotaan. Komunikasi publik memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk opini, persepsi, dan hubungan sosial di antara anggota komunitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk mengidentifikasi dan memahami dinamika komunikasi publik serta pengaruhnya terhadap relasi sosial. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen terkait komunikasi publik di lingkungan perkotaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi publik yang efektif dapat memperkuat relasi sosial dengan meningkatkan rasa saling percaya, kolaborasi, dan solidaritas di antara anggota komunitas. Sebaliknya, komunikasi publik yang kurang efektif cenderung menimbulkan miskomunikasi, konflik, dan keterasingan sosial. Faktor-faktor seperti keterbukaan, transparansi, dan partisipasi aktif dari masyarakat memainkan peran penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan komunikasi publik. Selain itu, penggunaan media sosial dan teknologi komunikasi modern juga berpengaruh signifikan dalam memfasilitasi dan mempercepat proses komunikasi publik di perkotaan.
