Abstract

PT Autoplastik Indonesia, anak perusahaan PT Astra Otoparts Tbk, bergerak dalam produksi komponen plastik untuk kendaraan roda empat. Mereka menghasilkan part FG (Finished Good) dan part SFG (Semi Finished Good), yang melalui proses assembly sebelum menjadi part FG.

Abstract

PT Cheger Motor is an authorized dealer that provides engine maintenance and spare part sales for Honda motorcycle, located in South Tangerang. Sales is the main focus of business process in this company, that being the case, there are two types of sales methods, regular and indent. Indent method were used should the motorcycle ordered by the customer is not readily available, therefore the customer should order in advance. In practice, the existing information system doesn’t have the feature to manage and store SPK (Surat Pemesanan Kendaraan - Vehicle Order Letter). The process of generating an indent inquiries are done manually with physical ledger, and those orders are followed up manually, one by one via WhatsApp. This issue increases the occurrence of booking delays, damage, loss, and redundancy of indent data. In addition, a feature is needed to set up an indent queue to reduce delays in the delivery of purchased vehicles to reduce the rate of order cancellation. This research aims to develop an integrated information system to store, manage and calculate the priority value of the indent queue in carrying out the indent process. To get the result of the priority value, there are few steps needed, first we should collect sales and indent data, then determine the weight of each criterion, and apply an appropriate calculation methods. Therefore, the Graphic Rating Scale method was chosen to assess the priority point for each transaction, to properly arrange the order priority based on the related criterion. This study explores strategies to improve production efficiency at Gelora Bakery Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. The main focus is improving the production area's layout by applying the Standardized Work Combination Table (SWCT). Gelora Bakery, located in East Jakarta, faced walk time constraints that resulted in fluctuations in production capacity and difficulties in meeting customer demand. Involving 25 workers in effective working hours of 9 hours per day, this study used SWCT to represent work standards and record the combination of human and machine movements. The analysis results showed a significant reduction in walk time of 34.58% after re-planning the layout of the production area. The successful implementation of SWCT not only improved SME Gelora Bakery's operational efficiency but also increased the daily production of canned biscuits. This study contributes to understanding the importance of production efficiency strategies in the food industry in Indonesia. In addition, the suggestion for further research on the duration of the baking process creates a foundation for continuous improvement to increase the overall production efficiency of SMEs Gelora Bakery.

Abstract

This study analyses the quality of FR S/C Side RH Bracket products at PT BMI, especially concerning the nut dragging problem, which is often the main defect. This study aims to analyze and improve the nut dragging defect problem in FR S/C Side RH Bracket products, as well as provide an understanding of the effectiveness of the improvement in reducing the number of defective products. The analysis shows that FR S/C Side RH Bracket products with nut dragging problems are the most frequent defects, reaching 632 defective units or about 60% of the total defective products before improvement. The Failure Tree Analysis (FTA) method was used to identify the root cause of the nut dragging problem, which revealed that machine factors were generally the main cause, especially setting the spot welding machine parameters too high. In response, improvements were made by changing the parameters on the SW.03 spot welding machine and adding a cooling water line. The results showed a significant decrease in defective products, totaling 1320 units. After the improvement, only 141 units were defective. This research provides an in-depth understanding of product quality issues at PT BMI. It offers solutions to improve product quality and meet customer expectations in the highly competitive automotive industry.

Abstract

A Supply Chain Management (SCM) application prototype for PT XYZ has been developed. Before its release, the testing phase is crucial to minimize functional failures. This study aims to conduct comprehensive testing to verify that all functions operate as intended, deliver the expected results, and identify potential errors in the application. Unlike previous research, this study not only uses Equivalence Partitioning as a functional testing technique but also combines it with the ISO/IEC 25010 standard, which guides Functional Suitability and software quality more comprehensively. This approach addresses the limitations of Equivalence Partitioning, which typically focuses only on input class division without ensuring coverage of specific quality standards. Furthermore, integrating testing techniques with the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 25010 standard enhances the relevance and applicability of this research in software development for industries, particularly in supply chain information processing automation. By combining both methods, the testing process becomes more thorough and structured, as evidenced by the 254 test cases generated. Additionally, this study provides quantitative data in the form of valid (83%) and invalid (17%) test case percentages, which can serve as indicators of testing effectiveness and the prototype's quality.
