Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of accompanying teachers in developing reading skills for children with needs special at SMPN 8 Tamban. This qualitative research study uses guidelines for interviews, observation, and documentation. The subject of the study is two students in Class VII. The data collection techniques are interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. The research results show that the teacher's efforts in developing reading skills with a manner special and guided through NaraMedia. The application of reading skills to children with special needs as a whole by teachers has used simple or short utterances (consisting of one or two words). The teacher's approach to the three children slowly made them know, understand, and understand when reading.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan soft skills siswa SMPN 3 Banjarmasin, khususnya dalam aspek kreativitas, komunikasi, berpikir kritis, dan kolaborasi (4C), melalui pelatihan desain poster menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyampaikan pesan visual secara efektif serta keterbatasan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi desain grafis. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga sesi utama: (1) penyampaian materi tentang prinsip dasar desain grafis dan penggunaan Canva, (2) praktik langsung pembuatan poster secara individu dan kelompok, serta (3) evaluasi hasil karya melalui pretest dan posttest. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengukur peningkatan pemahaman konsep desain dan kemampuan teknis siswa. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa, dengan rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 50% meningkat menjadi 85% pada posttest. Selain itu, siswa mampu menghasilkan poster dengan komposisi visual yang baik, pemilihan warna yang harmonis, dan pesan yang komunikatif. Pelatihan ini juga mendorong kolaborasi aktif antar siswa dan meningkatkan literasi digital mereka. Dengan demikian, program pelatihan ini efektif dalam mengembangkan soft skills dan keterampilan digital siswa, memberikan kontribusi positif dalam mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21.

Abstract

It is important to have knowledge of the language to make no mistakes occur in the language. Although previous studies have discussed linguistics and advertising, it is still very rare, and almost very few have discussed the morphology and syntax of hotel billboards in detail. Therefore, to fill this void, this study aimed to examine the morphological and syntactical analysis of advertising billboards used by hotels in Banjar masin. This study used descriptive qualitative research as its methodology. The billboards from various hotels in Banjarmasin served as the study's objects and location. The researcher specifically selected the images from the billboard advertisements that were captured. Then, the data were gathered through making observations and documentation. The findings discovered in the morphology section that numerous hotel advertisements had issues adding suffixes, which were lack of suffix-ly, suffix-s/es for verbs, and suffix-s/es for nouns. Furthermore, the phrase or sentence from the existing hotel billboard has a structural flaw in the syntactic part which is difficult to distinguish with morphology elements. . This study is intended to assist lecturers in the teaching-learning process in terms of morphology and syntax. It is expected that this study would be useful to future researchers conducting pertinent literature.
