Abstract

Education is something that cannot be separated from human life. The thinking process will be greatly influenced by how individuals interact with the surrounding environment. In Indonesia, there are many formal educational institutions ranging from elementary schools to universities in the academic and vocational realms. The learning process will develop the cognitive, affective and psychomotor side of students to a better level. As a higher education institution, Pertiwi University applies the PBL (Project Based Learning) learning method in several courses in the D3 Hospitality study program. This research aims to find out how to apply the project-based learning method in the Event Management course at Pertiwi University. This research was carried out using qualitative methods which produced descriptive data. Project Based Learning in event management courses stimulates several domains of creativity such as Fluency, Originality, Flexibility, Elaboration, and Evaluation. Where these indicators play an important role in increasing student creativity in thinking and acting. Several indicators are embedded in various stages of this project, starting from the pre-event which encourages students to think and act with originality, fluency, elaboration and flexibility. At the Event (execution) stage, students are invited to think and act flexibly. And for post-event students are trained to improve elaboration and evaluation skills. In this way, students will be more creative in dealing with various symptoms that arise in the field. Apart from that, students also gain empirical experience in organizing and designing real events that are not just theoretical.

Abstract

This research explores the intricate relationships among influencer marketing strategies, brand image, customer support, and consumer purchase intent within the operational framework of PT. Len Industri (Persero) - Jakarta Office. Through path analysis, the study discerns direct and indirect effects, revealing significant findings. Marketing Strategies exhibit a notable direct impact on both Customer Support and Consumer Purchase Intent, underscoring the centrality of effective marketing initiatives in shaping customer interactions and purchase decisions. Conversely, Brand Image reveals a non-significant direct effect on Customer Support but demonstrates a marginally significant impact on Consumer Purchase Intent, indicating a nuanced relationship that warrants further investigation. The indirect effects analysis highlights the substantial influence of Marketing Strategies on Consumer Purchase Intent mediated by Customer Support. These findings underscore the importance of a holistic approach, integrating marketing strategies, brand image cultivation, and effective customer support to enhance overall consumer experiences and drive purchase intent in a competitive market landscape.

Abstract

This study is based on social interaction in a multilingual society where there is code switching and code mixing occurs. The purpose of this research is to find out what are the forms of code switching and code mixing in Belok Kanan Barcelona and the factors that exist in the film Belok Kanan Barcelona. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method which is done by recording all the data that appears in the movie. The material is also analyzed by listening techniques and note-taking techniques. Therefore, in this study the writer uses the movie as the object of code switching and code mixing analysis. Since the story is set in an international country, the movie shows a multilingual situation where the characters communicate in Indonesian, Javanese, Makasarese, English, and Spanish according to the context and situation they face. The results of this study have found 16 data, which is code-switching data as much as 6 data and code-mixing data as much as 10 data.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of waiters’ performance on customer satisfaction at Whistel SMK Wirasaba Karawang. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive correlational approach. The population in this study consisted of all customers of Whistel SMK Wirasaba Karawang, with a sample of 65 respondents determined using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using correlation tests and simple linear regression. The results showed that waiters’ performance had a positive and significant relationship with customer satisfaction. This indicates that the better the waiters’ performance in serving customers, the higher the level of satisfaction experienced by customers. The conclusion of this study is that improving the competence and service quality of waiters is an important factor in maintaining and increasing customer satisfaction at Whistel SMK Wirasaba Karawang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the selection of accommodation at Wonderloft Hostel Jakarta. The research employed a qualitative method using structured interviews with 10 guests. The findings indicate that location is the primary consideration (100%), followed by image (90%), promotion (80%), and facilities (70%). The conclusion of this study is that guests’ decisions in choosing Wonderloft Hostel Jakarta are based on a combination of several interrelated factors, with location being the dominant factor.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of salesperson negotiation competence on the achievement of corporate contract targets in hotels. Negotiation competence is considered one of the crucial factors in building sustainable business relationships, particularly with corporate clients who have diverse needs and expectations. The research methodology employed a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with sales personnel and hotel sales and marketing management. Primary data were collected through a structured set of questions covering aspects such as negotiation preparation, negotiation techniques, relationship-building ability, communication, and strategy adjustment during the negotiation process. The interview results were analyzed descriptively to identify patterns, strategies, and challenges encountered in achieving corporate contract targets. The findings reveal that salesperson negotiation competence plays a significant role in the attainment of corporate contract targets. Thorough preparation through client needs assessment, strategic flexibility in handling objections, and effective two-way communication were found to facilitate agreement achievement. Furthermore, long-term relationships with clients strongly contribute to loyalty and recurring contract opportunities. The main obstacles identified stem from contract requirements perceived as burdensome by some companies; however, these can be mitigated through an adaptive negotiation approach. In conclusion, this study emphasizes that enhancing negotiation competence, particularly in the areas of product knowledge, communication skills, and adaptive strategies, is the key to successfully achieving hotel corporate contract targets.

Abstract

Sektor pertanian salah satu yang dianggap dapat memberikan kontribusi secara langsung terhadap kesejahteraan rumah tangga. Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) merupakan salah satu wadah bagi para petani wanita, KWT berbeda dengan kelompok tani lainnya, dalam pembinaannya KWT diarahkan untuk mempunyai suatu usaha produktif dalam skala rumah tangga yang memanfaatkan atau mengolah hasil-hasil pertanian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pendekatan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat suatu deskripsi atau dengan cara melukiskan objek penelitian berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang terlihat. Dalam proses pemberdayaan perempuan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dilapangan, proses pemberdayaan yang dilakukan dicapai melalui beberapa penerapan pendekatan pemberdayaan sehingga tidak ada paksaan maupun dorongan tertentu yang dilakukan agar para perempuan Desa Palimanan Barat mau bergabung dalam Kelompok Wanita Tani.
