Abstract

Background. Language problems are difficulties that students face when learning elements of the target language. Based on this fact, there is a premise that learning a foreign language is easy or not depending on the systematic comparison between the student's language and the target language. Purpose. This study aims to find out that the existence of teachers is the main actor who acts as a facilitator in the learning process for students. Therefore, their existence and professionalism are very influential on the achievement of national education programs. Method. The method used by researchers is quantitative method, this quantitative research can show data containing numbers that can be obtained by utilizing micro components of the education system in schools as a means that can be used by researchers as the subject of their research. Results. The madrasah principal and teachers are one of the components that are very decisive for the implementation of education. Teachers are the main actors who act as facilitators in the learning process for students. Teachers must be qualified because they are one of the micro components of the education system in schools. Conclusion. it is very important for madrasah principals to improve the quality of Arabic language learning. Teachers must be qualified because teachers are one of the micro-components of the school education system. Therefore, it is very important for madrasah principals to improve the quality of Arabic language learning.

Abstract

The problem in this research was the learning of PAI in SD Negeri 21 Batubasa was teacher’s center and limited of teaching materials. This study aimed at developing the PAI learning module based on the 2013 curriculum on understanding Allah's Messangers, being simple life and Ikhlas were valid, practical, and effective. This research was a development research using 4-D model (definition, design, development and dissemination). Based on the results, the PAI learning module was very valid with an average of 3.65 based on validator assessment. The module was considered very practical with an average 3.92 based on teacher’s ratings and average 3.85 based on student’s ratings. The effectiveness of the module on student's learning motivation was in the active category with the average 94.10 and the student's learning activity in the active category with the average 92. The student’s learning outcomes above the Minimum Standard Criteria with an average 85.50. It can be concluded that the PAI learning module developed was valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang kegiatan tahfidz Alqur’an yang diselenggarakan pada hari libur sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan mencari dan menyusun data secara sistematis dengan cara mengorganisasikan atau mereduksi data, menjabarkan dan mensintesa atau display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di di sebuah Rumah Tahfidz yaitu Rumah Tahfidz Alqur’an Fisabilillah Batusangkar. Hasil peneltian ini menunjukkan beberapa proram kegiatan dipersiapkan bagi peserta yang mengikuti karantina tahfidz. Karantina tahfidz dilaksanakan dengan mengisi waktu liburan sekolah dengan menghafal Al-qur’an. Kegiatan penelitian dimulai tanggal 19 Juni 2022 dan ditutup pada tanggal 27 Juni 2022. Dengan mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan program ini para santri dapat meningkatkan hafalannya selama satu minggu. Kegiatan karantina tahfidz diikuti oleh santri yang berusia Sekolah Dasar (SD), SMP/MTs, SMA/MA dan mahasiswa.

Abstract

This articel discusses the existence of halaqah as a center of Islamic scholarship in Minangkabau, examining its historical background, institutional characteristics, socio-cultural functions, and the dynamics of its transformation toward modern forms of Islamic education. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing journal articles, conference proceedings, and historical studies related to surau, halaqah, and the Minangkabau network of scholars (ulama). The findings indicate that halaqah often manifested in the form of surau institutions or pondok networks served as the main foundation for the transmission of Islamic knowledge, the formation of scholars, and the internalization of local (customary) values oriented toward Sharia. However, since the 20th century, these scholarly institutions have undergone processes of modernization and pluralization.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe and analyze the effectiveness and challenges of using social media as a medium for da'wah in Islamic religious education, particularly in enhancing religious awareness. Method: Employing a library research approach, this study draws upon books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and research reports as primary data sources. Results: The findings indicate that da'wah through social media is effective in raising religious awareness, especially among younger audiences, when delivered through creative formats such as short videos and live streaming. Effective strategies to optimize its use include the creation of engaging content, enhancing the digital literacy of preachers (da'is), fostering collaborations with influencers, and maintaining active interaction with audiences. However, challenges persist, including the potential spread of inaccurate religious information, limited digital competence among da'is, public skepticism toward digital da'wah, and unsupportive social media algorithms. Novelty: This research highlights the dual role of social media as both an opportunity and a challenge for Islamic religious education, offering insights into how strategic digital engagement can transform traditional da'wah practices to meet contemporary needs.

Abstract

This article examines the professional ethics of teachers, which form the moral and professional foundation for carrying out their duties as educators in Islam. The purpose of this study is to analyze the ethical values inherent in the teaching profession and their relevance in shaping character and the quality of Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study by examining classical and contemporary literature related to the concept of teachers in Islam. The results show that the professional ethics of teachers are an integral part of teaching duties, requiring teachers to always act fairly, honestly, trustworthily, and uphold noble moral values in all educational interactions. The essence of teachers in Islam includes the terms murabbi, mu'allim, and mu'addib. Teacher professionalism in Islamic education is seen in the Qur'an, among others, that teachers must be trustworthy, have integrity and honesty, and be able to be role models for students. The implications of this study emphasize that strengthening the professional ethics of teachers is not only important for improving the quality of Islamic education, but also serves as a foundation for building a generation with character, noble morals, and readiness to face the challenges of the times. This article discusses the professional ethics of teachers in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study analyzes the epistemological shift from the classical paradigm to digital scholarship as a form of contemporary scientific construction. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach based on the analysis of the philosophy of science and critical literature review, this study traces the changes in the concepts of truth, authority, and scientific validity resulting from the digitization of knowledge practices. Classical epistemology, rooted in rationality, empiricism, and objectivity, is now shifting towards an open knowledge system that emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and interdisciplinary connectivity. The results of the analysis show that digital infrastructure, algorithms, and big data form a new regime of truth, in which scientific validity is determined through global network participation, not solely by hierarchical verification by academic institutions. Through a synthesis of the ideas of Kuhn, Foucault, Latour, Gibbons, and Borgman, this study formulates the concept of reflexive digital epistemology, which is a scientific model that is socially and technologically aware, collaborative, open, and ethical. This study emphasizes the importance of a new scientific evaluation paradigm based on openness, epistemic justice, and digital responsibility, while highlighting the risks of algorithmic bias, data coloniality, and access inequality in the evolving practice of global digital science.

Abstract

This study analyzes the historical and contemporary dynamics of the Islamic Tarbiyah Association (PERTI) as a religious organization deeply rooted in the educational tradition of the Islamic Tarbiyah Madrasah (MTI) in Minangkabau. MTI, a product of the transformation of traditional surau (Islamic prayer hall) in the early 20th century, forms the epistemological, pedagogical, and ideological foundation for PERTI. Through a qualitative approach with a historical-sociological design, this study traces the evolution of PERTI from its emergence as a consolidation of older scholars to its development as a modern organization that plays a role in the educational, social, and religious fields of society. The research findings indicate that the religious identity of Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah and the Shafi'i school of thought, the tradition of the yellow book, and active learning methods such as munazharah and mudzakarah are the pillars of PERTI's intellectual character. Furthermore, PERTI's close relationship with the Minangkabau social structure, particularly through the adat principle of basandi syarak, syarak basandi Kitabullah, provides strong legitimacy for its social role. This study confirms that PERTI's ability to maintain tradition while adapting to the demands of modernization is key to the organization's sustainability. The results of this study contribute to enriching studies on traditional Islamic education and local religious organizations in Indonesia.
