Abstract

Background. The language learning process must be accompanied by language skills strategies, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. All these strategies are very important to improve language skills. With these strategies, the learning process will run well. Good language skills can help people interact and communicate with the people around them. Purpose. Along with the development of the times and technology, Indonesian is also an inspiration to be introduced and developed throughout the world. The technique used in data collection is to use the discussion lecture method, as well as the team teaching technique. Method. The purpose of this research is that a better language skills learning process can provide good results and achievements for students.    Results. The results showed that with effective steps, teachers can use them to teach students' language competence and not only use the lecture learning model. Conclusion. Based on questionnaires that have been distributed to students, researchers obtained results that show that in learning Indonesian, especially language competence, the strategies used by researchers are effective.

Abstract

Peningkatan Kemampuan Siswa Menulis Puisi Baru dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Picture and Picture di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho. Pada siklus I, peningkatan kemampuan siswa pada materi menulis puisi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran "Picture and Picture" di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho mengindikasikan perolehan terendah 47,04 serta tertinggi 68, dengan perolehan rata-rata 57,52. Sementara itu, pada siklus II, kemampuan siswa meningkat dengan perolehan terendah 84,64 serta tertinggi 93,81, serta perolehan nilai rata-rata mencapai 89.22. Perolehan keaktifan siswa pada siklus I tercatat senilai 71,66%, sedangkan pada siklus II bertambah menjadi 95.33%. Hal ini mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada siklus Il- dibandingkan siklus I. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, bisa menyimpulkan, bahwasanya model pembelajaran "Picture and Picture" efektif dalam peningkatan kapabilitas siswa dalam menulis puisi di kelas VIII SMP- Negeri 1 Hiliduho Tahun Pembelajaran 2025/2026. Dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dapat dianggap tepat sebagai bahan referensi untuk menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang bersifat efektif, menarik serta menyenangkan untuk siswa, sehingga siswa dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.
