Abstract

Background: Information security is an important issue in the digital age, especially among students who actively usetechnology in both academic and non-academic activities.Objective: This study aims to determine students’ level of awareness of information security at Mataram University.Methods: The study uses the Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q) model, which coversthree main dimensions: knowledge, attitude, and behavior, as well as six focus areas of information security. Data wascollected through an online questionnaire distributed to active students. Analysis was conducted by calculating the averagepercentage for each dimension and domain.Result: The results indicate that the overall level of awareness among students falls into the “moderate” category. Theattitude dimension achieved the highest score at 80.01%, followed by behavior at 79.52%, and knowledge at 79.49%. TheInformation Handling and Password Management areas demonstrated strong awareness, while Internet Use had the lowestscore, particularly in the knowledge aspect.Conclusion: These findings indicate that while students have positive attitudes, their application in daily life remainssuboptimal.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology demands good security. One approach that can be taken and is considered effective for identifying and analyzing cyberattacks is to implement a honeypot security layer. In a comparative study of two types of honeypots, namely Opencanary and Cowrie, which examined the form of honeypot response and the main focus of resource requirements to attacks along with the use of two methods of brute-force and port-scanning attacks. The attack was carried out virtually with the self-attack method, with the aim of comparing each honeypot in terms of resource requirements. The results show that in brute-force attacks, Opencanary has lower resource requirements with the highest CPU/RAM requirements of only 14% / 1.3%, while Cowrie requires more resources with the highest CPU/RAM requirements of 17% / 1.3%. While port-scanning attacks have lower resource requirements with the highest CPU requirements in Opencanary at 3% and Cowrie at 2% and similar RAM requirements at 1.28%. This study is expected to be a benchmark in selecting a honeypot that is tailored to the existing resource requirements.

Abstract

Minimnya pengetahuan mengenai keamanan data pribadi dapat meningkatkan kerentanan terhadap pencurian identitas, penipuan, dan enkripsi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan mengetahui tingkat kesadaran keamanan data Mahasiswa Universitas Mataram dalam penggunaan Instagram dengan menggunakan metode Human Aspect of Information Security Questionnaire ( HAIS-Q ) yang mencakup aspek pengetahuan ( knowledge ), sikap ( attitude ), dan perilaku ( behavior ) dengan pendekatan penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Sebanyak 404 mahasiswa yang aktif menggunakan Instagram menjadi responden penelitian ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tingkat kesadaran keamanan data berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai 84,7%. Nilai tertinggi terdapat pada area fokus Penanganan Informasi sebesar 87,9%, menandakan mahasiswa cukup berhati-hati dalam mengelola informasi yang bersifat sensitif. Namun nilai terendah terdapat pada area fokus Password Management (82%), khususnya pada aspek perilaku dengan nilai 78%, menunjukkan penerapan pengelolaan kata sandi masih rendah. Kemudian perbandingan antara responden laki-laki dan perempuan menunjukkan hasil yang tidak terlalu jauh, serta masih dalam kategori baik, di mana siswa perempuan memperoleh nilai 84,9%, sedangkan laki-laki memperoleh nilai 84,3%. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya praktik nyata seperti pengelolan kata sandi agar kesadaran keamanan data pribadi semakin baik.
