Abstract

In this world, there are various problems, one of which is the problem of gender equality. Gender has recently become a hot phenomenon to be discussed. This can be seen from the fact that there are still many people who think that men are better and have a higher degree than women. So the purpose of this study is to describe the existence of gender equality in an Islamic perspective and gender equality in education in Indonesia. The method used is a literature study with careful repeated observation analysis techniques and then concluded qualitatively descriptively. The results of the study show that gender equality is highly respected in Islam and Indonesian education where from an Islamic perspective it has the same position between men and women starting from getting rewards, being servants of Allah and caliphs, achieving achievements to carrying out their obligations. Meanwhile, gender equality in the perspective of education in Indonesia is contained in Article 27 paragraphs 1 and 2 and the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 1994 concerning the elimination of discrimination, and Law No 20 of 2003 on the National Education System.

Abstract

This article aims to show the representation of Mircea Eliade's concept of "sacred" in the tradition of commemorating the first night of Suro in Kotagede, Yogyakarta. This type of research is qualitative with a literature study approach. Data collection was carried out by collecting literary sources in the form of books and journals related to formal objects, namely the thoughts of Mircea Eliade, and material objects, namely the tradition of commemorating the first night of Suro in Kotagede, Yogyakarta. The results of this research are that this tradition occurred because of the hierophony, namely between the month of Suro which is believed to bring both blessings and dangers and the place of implementation, namely the tombs of the Mataram kings. The myth that emerged was in the form of a belief in getting blessings and being protected from danger. Sacred symbols are manifested in the reading of tahlil, eating jenang suran, and burning incense. Meanwhile, the concept of the cosmos occurs at the time the tradition is carried out, because when the tradition takes place, there is a sacred time and a sacred place at the same time.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the description of hermeneutics as a model of scientific research, development of humanities sciences, and as a research method in religious sciences. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach. Then analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that hermeneutics emerged a long time ago during ancient Greek civilization and was more dominant in activities in understanding the holy scriptures, but in its development, it could reach the humanities and religious sciences. Apart from that, it also acts as a bridge to bring together hermeneutical theory with qualitative empirical research as well as symbols that are difficult for humans to understand in the phenomena of the universe. Therefore, the science of hermeneutics can interpret and express the meaning of texts by considering the social, cultural, and historical context. And of course, this is very useful in uncovering Divine messages through scripture texts which still need explanation so that you don't misapply God's teachings.
