Abstract

Abstract

The English course emphasizes reading and writing. Through interpreting the written word, writing down thoughts and ideas, and receiving feedback, you will naturally improve your vocabulary and grammar skills. Plus, you'll have more words to express yourself clearly and communicate ideas effectively. Developing vocabulary and grammar skills not only helps speaking English. English develops naturally for native speakers. Many people don't understand the rules of formal grammar, but they know when something doesn't sound right to them. However, when you learn the rules of your own language, it can make learning a foreign language easier and more comfortable

Abstract

This study aims to explore the pattern of diabetes mellitus risk factors among patients at Torabelo Regional Hospital in Sigi using Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA). A total of 465 patients were analyzed based on eight categorical variables, including age, gender, blood glucose levels, and lipid profiles. MCA was applied to identify inter-category relationships and visualize them in a low-dimensional space. The results show that most diabetes patients were female, aged 46 years and above, and had high fasting glucose, low HDL, and high LDL levels. The analysis identified two main patterns: a group with a low-risk metabolic profile who were not diagnosed with diabetes, and a group with a combination of high-risk metabolic categories who were more likely to already have diabetes. A distinct subgroup with extremely high triglyceride levels was also identified, indicating a rare but significant metabolic pattern. The first two dimensions of the MCA explained more than 40% of the data variation, providing sufficient support for meaningful visual interpretation. These findings demonstrate that MCA is effective in simplifying complex categorical data and supports risk-based segmentation strategies for early intervention planning in primary healthcare services, particularly in regions with high diabetes prevalence.

Abstract

Mycobacteria represent a critical microbial agent with significant implications for animal and human health. Mycobacteria can be found in poultry farm environments, serving as a risk factor for transmission of infection. This study aims to determine the prevalence of Mycobacteria in poultry farming areas. Methods: A total of 25 environmental samples were systematically processed and analyzed using established diagnostic protocols. Mycobacteria identification employed standard microbiological cultivation techniques and acid-fast staining methods. Results The findings revealed an 8% prevalence of Mycobacteria among the examined samples. This prevalence rate demonstrates the bacterial presence within the poultry farming environment, indicating potential transmission risks for both animal and human populations. Conclusion The study successfully documented Mycobacteria presence in poultry farming environments, emphasizing the necessity for continued microbiological surveillance and comprehensive health risk assessments. Further research is recommended to elucidate the specific mechanisms of bacterial transmission and potential mitigation strategies. Abstract

Principals play a strategic role in improving the quality of teaching and teacher performance through supervisory practices. This study aims to describe the implementation of the principal’s supervisory style in enhancing teachers’ job satisfaction at SMK Negeri 1 Gowa. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The participants included the principal, six vice principals, senior teachers, and teachers who were the subjects of supervision. The findings indicate that the principal implemented an integrated, structured, and participatory supervisory style. This approach can be categorized as guided leadership, which emphasizes mentoring, support, and teacher involvement in decision-making. The implementation of supervision was not merely focused on administrative evaluation but functioned as a medium of empowerment through constructive feedback, continuous mentoring, and collective reflection. Teachers reported feeling valued and supported, which positively influenced their motivation, professionalism, work discipline, teaching readiness, and overall job satisfaction. Furthermore, the supervisory practices were closely linked to teacher performance appraisal (PKG) and work target assessments (SKP), contributing to the strengthening of career development and performance-based recognition. These results highlight that a humanistic, educational, and participatory supervisory style fosters a positive school climate, promotes collaboration, and enhances the quality of teaching and learning in vocational education settings.
