Abstract

CV. Mahkota Kreasi Berlina is struggling to keep up with demand. Even though currently, CV Mahkota Kreasi Berlina has added working hours every week. In this case CV. Mahkota Kreasi Berlina has never carried out a workforce optimization calculation and made a comparison of additional workers with overtime hours. therefore, in order to meet demand, researchers will calculate the need for labor and make a comparison between adding labor and overtime according to production planning or with the workload analysis (WLA) method at the minimum cost. From the results of data processing, the minimum cost results are obtained, namely the calculation of the number of labor requirements in a 6 month period using 42 workers and overtime with a total cost of Rp. 495,800,000 per 6 months. Calculation of labor with WLA resulted in the company incurring substantial costs, where the results of the calculation of WLA amounted to Rp. 526,392,533 per 6 months

Abstract

UD Afareza Rajarak is an industrial engaged in manufacturing and retail trade that produces racks. Two types of products are often ordered by customers, namely wall shelves and wicket racks. There are 4 product defects such as imprecise transverse wire, bent hollow iron, bent transverse wire, and poor welding residue. The highest percentage of defects for wall rack products was 4.81% in January 2024 and wicket racks were 5.05% in December 2023. Causing turnover losses to UD. Afareza Rajarak annually, with the largest loss in December amounting to Rp 3,956,250. This study aims to determine the factors that cause defects and how to reduce product defects in UD. Afareza Rajarak uses the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methods. The factors causing damage are human factors, methods, machines, raw materials, and the environment. Apply fixes based on PDCA methods that have been performed. Abstract

CV Anugerah Sukses Sejahtera is a company that operates in the field of manufacturing flanges and rubber gaskets. The company's production process sets a defect tolerance at 5%. In the production flow there is a process failure or defect that occurs in the production process and increases the tolerance amount above a predetermined limit. From the data that has been collected, researchers can identify the types of defect characteristics using the SPC (Statistical Process Control) method and analyze them using fishbone diagrams, as well as provide suggestions for improvements to the company. Based on the Pareto diagram, it was concluded that the highest percentage of defects was in burry defects at 43.2%, the highest rubber attribute defects were in wrinkles at 36.7% and variable flanges defects were in flatness defects at 44.1%. Based on the processing of samples 1-8, it was found that sample proportions exceeded the control limits of the P flange control chart, namely UCL at week 5 and LCL at week 6, while the other proportions were still in the control stage. The dominant cause of this problem is employees' lack of control over the job desk and lack of maintenance on machines. Thus, the proposed improvement given to the company is to carry out On Job Training for new employees, check the rubber raw materials and flanges raw materials, add LED lighting to each machine and carry out regular machine maintenance scheduling

Abstract

Utuh Mandiri Food sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri makanan perlu memiliki sistem perencanaan persediaan yang efisien guna menghindari penumpukan bahan baku maupun kekurangan stok yang dapat menghambat produksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana implementasi prinsip JIT dapat meminimalisasi pemborosan, mengurangi biaya penyimpanan, dan meningkatkan responsivitas terhadap permintaan pasar. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa JIT mampu mengurangi jumlah frekuensi pemesanan dibandingkan dengan EOQ dan kebijakan perusahaan. Untuk bahan baku tepung serdadu kuning frekuensi pemesanan per tahunnnya adalah metode konvensional sebanyak 60 kali, EOQ sebanyak 7 kali serta JIT sebanyak 3 kali. Untuk bahan baku tepung terigu hikari biru frekuensi pemesanan per tahunnya adalah metode konvensional sebanyak 60 kali, EOQ sebanyak 3 kali, serta JIT sebanyak 1 kali. Total biaya persediannya untuk bahan baku tepung serdadu kuning mampu diturunkan dengan metode JIT dari Rp10.061.797,5 menjadi Rp1.033.374,7. Dan untuk bahan baku tepung terigu hikari biru mampu diturunkan dari Rp9.944.599,5 menjadi Rp532.571,32. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode JIT mampu untuk melakukan efisiensi operasional dalam manajemen persediaan di CV. Utuh Mandiri Food. Dengan pengadaan bahan baku yang dilakukan secara tepat waktu sesuai kebutuhan produksi, perusahaan dapat menekan biaya penyimpanan dan mengurangi risiko bahan baku kedaluwarsa.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan ketersediaan bahan baku kelapa yang melimpah, sehingga memiliki potensi besar dalam industri briket arang tempurung kelapa. PT. Handoko Jaya sebagai salah satu perusahaan produsen briket menghadapi kendala utama pada proses pencampuran (mixing) yang berdampak pada ketidakseimbangan kapasitas antarstasiun kerja, penurunan efisiensi, serta keterlambatan pemenuhan permintaan pasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan investasi penambahan satu unit mesin mixing dari aspek finansial serta mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap peningkatan produktivitas perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif melalui studi kasus, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen perusahaan. Analisis finansial dilakukan menggunakan indikator Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), Break-Even Point (BEP), serta analisis sensitivitas terhadap perubahan tingkat diskonto. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan investasi penambahan mesin mixing pada perusahaan guna meningkatkan kapasitas produksi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa investasi ini layak direalisasikan, ditunjukkan oleh nilai NPV sebesar Rp 1.104.771.481 pada tingkat diskonto 4,75%, IRR sebesar 10,51% yang melebihi suku bunga acuan, serta Payback Period yang relatif cepat yaitu sekitar 2,4 bulan. Melalui uji sensitivitas hingga tingkat diskonto 25%, nilai NPV tetap positif, sehingga investasi dinyatakan aman dan menguntungkan. Selain itu, penambahan mesin mixing diproyeksikan mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dari 200 kg menjadi 400 kg per siklus giling, yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan produktivitas, kelancaran proses operasional, dan kemampuan perusahaan dalam memenuhi permintaan pasar.

Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of raw material procurement planning in the production process of gypsum molding at UD Jaya Gypsum using a lot sizing technique approach. The main problem faced by the company is the inaccuracy in the quantity and timing of raw material orders, which affects production continuity and cost efficiency. This study employs the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Lot for Lot (LFL), Period Order Quantity (POQ), Least Unit Cost (LUC), and Least Total Cost (LTC) methods to determine the most optimal order size. Raw material requirement data are obtained from historical demand and production schedules. The results of the analysis show differences in total costs among the methods and provide recommendations for the most efficient lot size ordering for the company. By applying an appropriate lot sizing method, the company can minimize inventory costs while maintaining production continuity.

Abstract

UKM One Maxx Mojokerto is a small and medium-sized enterprise engaged in shoe production. The production process, particularly in the stage of attaching the upper to the sole, is still carried out manually using basic tools such as hammers, nails, and pliers. This method requires relatively long processing time, high physical effort, and potentially causes ergonomic complaints for workers. This study aims to design an ergonomic press machine as a work aid to improve productivity and operator comfort. The research method includes user needs analysis, anthropometric measurements for tool dimension determination, and work time analysis using the Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST). The results indicate that the ergonomic press machine design is able to reduce production time compared to manual methods, increase work efficiency, and decrease workers’ physical workload. The implementation of this work aid is expected to enhance production capacity while improving ergonomic working conditions for SMEs.

Abstract

PT. XYZ, a biscuit manufacturing industry, faces a product quality decline issue due to a high rate of packaging defects. This study aims to identify the causes of these defects and formulate improvement strategies using the DMAI (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve) method. Data collection focused on packaging defects analyzed using Pareto diagrams, p-control charts, and DPMO calculations. Root causes were identified using a fishbone diagram, and improvement proposals were structured through the 5W1H approach. The results revealed four main defects: leaking (28.21%), unsealed (26.47%), torn (23.16%), and faint coding (22.16%), with a DPMO level of 29.91. The main causes of defects were machine factors and a lack of operator accuracy. The proposed recommendations include implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), preventive machine maintenance schedules, and regular operator training.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a footwear manufacturing company that implements a make-to-order production system, requiring effective raw material inventory control and appropriate supplier selection to support smooth production activities. This study aims to analyze raw material inventory control using the Continuous Review System (s,S) method and determine priority suppliers using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The research data were collected through observations, interviews, company documentation, and questionnaires distributed to parties involved in raw material procurement. The results showed that the reorder point and maximum inventory values for Canvas were 85,351 m and 88,616 m, Mesh Fabric were 44,217 m and 46,424 m, and Lining Fabric were 18,477 m and 20,317 m, respectively. The AHP results indicated a Consistency Ratio value of 0.0925, meaning the assessment was consistent. Supplier 1 obtained the highest weight value of 0.5057 (51%), making it the company’s priority supplier.

Abstract

This study uses structural equation modelling (SEM) to examine how work systems affect employee performance among educational support personnel at a public university in Surabaya, with employee engagement acting as a mediating variable. Data were collected from 293 respondents using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The results show that the work system has a significant positive effect on employee engagement (β = 0.541; CR = 6.840), employee engagement has a significant positive effect on employee performance (β = 0.253; CR = 4.168), and the work system has a direct effect on employee performance (β = 0.341; CR = 4.991). The Sobel Test yielded Z = 3.55 (> 1.96), demonstrating that the relationship between the work system and performance is substantially mediated by employee involvement, confirming partial mediation. The findings underscore the importance of improving work systems encompassing physical, technological, and cultural environments as a strategy for enhancing engagement and performance among educational support staff.
