Abstract

AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pengemasan berkelanjutan melalui pelatihan pembuatan kemasan ramah lingkungan untuk produk tepung mangrove. Program ini dilaksanakan di UPTD Kebun Raya Mangrove Surabaya sebagai bentuk inovasi desain kemasan yang mendukung pelestarian lingkungan. Sosialisasi dilakukan kepada 30 peserta yang terdiri dari masyarakat sekitar dengan didampingi pegawai UPTD. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yaitu sosialisasi yang melibatkan 30 peserta dari mitra UPTD Kebun Raya Mangrove Surabaya. Adapun kegiatan sosialisasi meliputi koordinasi awal, sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, dan evaluasi terhadap kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta serta survei kepuasan guna menilai efektivitas metode yang diterapkan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemanfaatan kemasan ramah lingkungan, seperti pengurangan limbah plastik, hilangnya sumber daya, dan peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa desain kemasan ramah lingkungan untuk tepung mangrove dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam mendukung lingkungan hijau dan meningkatkan citra produk. Kegiatan ini mendapat apresiasi positif dari UPTD Kebun Raya Mangrove Surabaya, yang berharap inisiatif ini dapat terus berlanjut sehingga dapat diterapkan secara lebih luas untuk mendukung keberlangsungan lingkungan di berbagai sektor. Kata kunci: kemasan berkelanjutan; kemasan ramah lingkungan; lingkungan hijau; tepung bakau. AbstractThis community service activity aims to increase public awareness and knowledge about sustainable packaging through training in making environmentally friendly packaging for mangrove flour products. This program was carried out at UPTD Mangrove Botanical Garden Surabaya as a form of packaging design innovation that supports environmental conservation. The socialization was conducted to 30 participants consisting of the surrounding community accompanied by UPTD employees. The implementation method used was socialization involving 30 participants from UPTD Mangrove Botanical Garden Surabaya partners. The socialization activities include initial coordination, socialization to the community, and evaluation of this activity through pre-test and post-test to measure the increase in participants' understanding and satisfaction survey to assess the effectiveness of the methods applied. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' understanding and skills after participating in this activity, which is expected to have a positive impact on the utilization of environmentally friendly packaging, such as reducing plastic waste, loss of resources, and increasing environmental awareness. The results of this activity show that environmentally friendly packaging design for mangrove flour can be an innovative solution in supporting a green environment and improving product image. This activity received positive appreciation from UPTD Kebun Raya Mangrove Surabaya, who hopes that this initiative can continue so that it can be applied more broadly to support environmental sustainability in various sectors. Keywords: eco-friendly packaging; green environment; mangrove flour; sustainable packaging.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang produksi kemasan, khususnya tube kemasan yang melayani kebutuhan industri kosmetik, perawatan mulut dan kebutuhan lainnya. Permasalahan yang dihadapi PT XYZ yaitu penumpukan WIP yang terjadi digudang. Adapun salah satu faktor permasalahan tersebut diduga adalah kemampuan mesin capping yang tidak memadai. Karena itu perusahaan ini ingin mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan mesin capping dengan penumpukan yang terjadi digudang, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu perusahaan dalam pengambilan keputusan sehingga penumpukan yang terjadi dapat diminimalkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi linear sederhana untuk pengolahan datanya. Penyelesaian uji statistik ini akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan software SPSS. Dalam software SPSS yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data telah berdistribusi normal dengan pengaruh kemampuan mesin capping terhadap penumpukan WIP yang terjadi adalah sebesar 66,2% dan model regresi yakni Y=24323,616-(0,846)X. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang erat antara kemampuan mesin capping dengan penumpukan yang terjadi. Selain itu didapatkan juga bahwa hubungan antar keduanya adalah berbanding terbalik yang dibuktikan dari tanda negatif pada output corelations yakni sebesar -0,813. Dengan demikian penelitian ini dapat dikatakan valid, sehingga dapat digunakan untuk pertimbangan PT XYZ untuk pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

XYZ Company is a company engaged in fertilizer production in Indonesia. Fertilizer producers are faced with a number of challenges, namely demand fluctuations caused by seasonal factors or changes in consumption trends that often make fertilizer production difficult to predict. The company currently has inaccurate forecasting on fertilizer production as a result of which there is an excess or shortage of fertilizer production. This research aims to solve the problem of forecasting calculations and selecting the best forecasting method to be used in the amount of fertilizer production at XYZ Company. The methods used are the Single Exponential Smoothing method and Holt's method. Data processing will be carried out with Excel software using sales data in the previous period at XYZ Company. Based on the data processing that has been done, it can be seen that Holt's method is the best method to be used to forecast the amount of fertilizer production at XYZ Company. This is evidenced by the results of forecasting calculations and also the results of forecasting error tests that have been carried out where the Holt's method has the best results

Abstract

Companies must pay special attention to the machines used to make goods because if the machine is damaged, the resulting product will be damaged or the product will take a long time in the production process. By performing regular machine maintenance, companies can maintain and extend the service life of the machine. PT XYZ is a company in Indonesia that has an installed production capacity of 29 million tons of cement per year. The company uses a continuous production system, namely ensuring that all machines are in good condition so that the production process does not experience delays or losses. The results of observations show that the packer operation is the production process with the longest waiting time, with the Roto packer 638PM1 being the machine with the longest waiting time. Corrective and preventive maintenance are two types of maintenance currently used, and the current preventive maintenance strategy is currently suboptimal. This study aims to develop an efficient preventive maintenance system by providing preventive maintenance recommendations using the design modularity method and the Always Better Control (ABC) classification. By combining the classification of machines between critical levels and the utility value of each machine component, operational efficiency will increase, the risk of production disruptions caused by critical component shortages and unnecessary storage costs will be reduced. By applying this method, the total maintenance cost incurred is Rp. 771,782,456, this result has a difference of Rp. 406,113,204 smaller than the total maintenance cost currently used by the company, which is Rp. 1,177,895,660. The results demonstrate that the proposed maintenance method is effective and feasible, achieving a 34.47% cost efficiency improvement over the company’s current maintenance system.

Abstract

Production plays an important role in maintaining the quality and quantity of products until they reach consumers. The many important activities in the production process require companies to improve their performance to be effective and efficient in order to maintain trust. PT XYZ is a BUMD company engaged in the manufacturing of fertilizer and dolomite rock mining materials since 2018. In production activities, there are various activities that do not have added value or waste. This study aims to identify waste and find out the root causes of waste in production process activities. The implementation of Lean manufacturing is carried out by identifying the warehousing flow process with Value Stream Mapping (VSM), then identifying 7 wastes that occur in the warehousing process using the Waste Assessment Model (WAM) method. The results of the study showed that the waste with the highest percentage level was waste Processing (P) waste transportation (T) waste overproduction (D). From the proposed improvements and mapping of future flows, it was found that lead time was reduced to 264 minutes from 350 minutes, which means eliminating 86 minutes of activities that did not provide added value. Thus, activity increased by 22% from the initial condition.

Abstract

Inventory in raw materials is a very important thing to pay attention to by the company in carrying out its business processes. Economy Order Quantity (EOQ) is a method that is generally used in determining raw material availability policies in order to obtain minimum yields. This method will help plan raw material inventory in a company to be more efficient. In a manufacturing company, inventory is classified into three parts, specifically raw goods, semi-finished goods and finished goods. If a supply is sufficient then the production process will run smoothly. The purpose of this study is to make an analysis and make a control plan for milk raw materials contained in CV. Milkinesia Nusantara using the EOQ method. After analyzing the results obtained, the optimal purchase frequency is 240 times a year because milk raw materials are easily spoiled with a total purchase of milk raw materials every time one order is 119 liters, the main raw material is considered safe as much as 183 liters with what was ordered back when the raw material amounted to 457 liters. Then the total cost of availability of the company's raw materials, which was originally Rp. 85,023,395.55 - can be saved to Rp. 42,006,726, - so that the savings that occur are Rp. 43,016,669.55.

Abstract

Inovasi teknologi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam sektor perikanan. Artikel ini membahas strategi yang mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan alat pemberi pakan otomatis sebagai upaya meningkatkan hasil panen ikan lele. Teknologi ini memberikan solusi efisien dan efektif dalam manajemen pakan, mengatasi kendala yang sering kali dihadapi petani dalam pemberian pakan secara manual. Dengan memanfaatkan alat pemberi pakan otomatis, petani dapat mengontrol pemberian pakan secara tepat waktu dan akurat, sesuai dengan kebutuhan ikan lele pada berbagai tahap pertumbuhannya. Keuntungan utama dari alat pemberi pakan otomatis, yaitu penghematan waktu dan usaha petani. Dengan menerapkan alat otomatis ini, petani dapat menjaga kualitas pakan dan mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan ikan dengan lebih baik dan juga dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan petani. Dengan menggabungkan pengetahuan tradisional petani dengan teknologi modern, strategi ini berpotensi membawa perubahan berkelanjutan dalam budidaya ikan lele. Diharapkan bahwa penerapan alat pemberi pakan otomatis akan mendukung upaya global dalam mencapai ketahanan pangan dan pengembangan sektor perikanan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Demand is an asset whose value fluctuates. The number of requests can increase or decrease according to consumer wishes. To overcome this fluctuatuing demand, appropriate supplies of raw materials are maintained. Therefore, to calculate inventory can use the EOQ method. PT. MNO is company that operates in marine products. In dealing with raw material supplies, PT.MNO still uses old calculation methods. This research aims to analyze the optimal number of order, the amount of safety stock, reorder points, and compare the costs incurred by the company with the costs calculated based on the EOQ method. The type of research used primary data obtained through field observations. Based on the research results, the costs calculated based on EOQ are lower than the costs incurred by the previous company, in 2022 is Rp. 622.410 and 2023 is Rp. 352.868.

Abstract

Improving product quality is one of the important factors in facing industrial competition, especially in the White Crystal Sugar (GKP) production sector. PT XYZ, as one of the GKP producers, faces challenges in maintaining the consistency of its product quality according to applicable standards. This study aims to assess the quality of the production process at PT.XYZ by utilizing the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method through the use of a p-control map (P-Chart) to measure the proportion of defective products. The analysis was conducted on 29 production samples. The results show that the production process is in statistical control, with an average defect proportion of 0.006984, where all points are between the upper control limit (UCL = 0.008769) and the lower control limit (LCL = 0.005199). The defect rate found is very small, less than 0.1%. The total defects reached 3279 kg GKP, consisting of color defects of 1155 kg (35.22%), moisture content of 1091 kg (33%), and cleanliness of 1033 kg (32%). Based on the fishbone diagram, the defects were caused by workers, machines, operational methods, and production materials. In conclusion, the application of the SQC method is effective in identifying and controlling factors that affect the quality of GKP at PT XYZ.

Abstract

Efforts to determine optimal raw material control management need to be done to meet production needs This study aims to determine how to forecast demand for Corn and Wheat raw materials at PT ABC. There are two Forecasting methods in the study, namely Moving Average using 2 months and 3 months and Exponential Smoothing with = 0.2 and 0.4 Then to find the most accurate method, the accuracy measurement of the MAD MSE and MAPE forecast results is used. Based on the results of data processing, the measurement error of the forecast results on corn and wheat raw materials was obtained. The results of the Forecasting of Corn raw material demand for the 13th period using the 2 Monthly Moving Average method are 829,442 While the results of the Forecasting of Wheat raw material demand for the 13th period using the Exponential Smoothing method a 0.4 are 125:266. Thus, both methods are expected to be able to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory management in controlling raw materials so as not to experience losses or minimize loss costs.
