Abstract

Discipleship is a critical element in shaping spiritual character and leadership within the church. However, implementing effective discipleship models remains a challenge in many local churches. The Apostle Paul, through his mentoring relationship with Titus, presents a comprehensive and contextual example of discipleship. This study employs a qualitative method using a systematic literature review approach. Data sources include the Bible, classical and contemporary theological works, and relevant academic articles. Thematic analysis is applied to identify key elements in Paul’s discipleship model as reflected in his epistle to Titus. The findings show that Paul’s discipleship model incorporates personal relationships, sound doctrinal teaching, practical ministry equipping, exemplary living, training to face challenges, and the principle of multiplication. This process not only develops disciples but also produces leaders who can sustain and expand the ministry. Paul’s discipleship model with Titus serves as an ideal framework for modern churches seeking to empower their congregations. Discipleship is not merely a transfer of knowledge but a transformative process that nurtures faith and equips believers for active and responsible ministry involvement.

Abstract

Meditation is a spiritual practice widely known in various religious traditions and beliefs around the world, including Christianity. However, in the context of Christian faith, the understanding and practice of meditation often remain controversial. Some Christians reject meditation because they associate it with non-Christian practices, while others are becoming more open to it, especially through greater access to information. The ambiguity of the concept of meditation in Christianity is an issue that needs to be studied in depth so that believers have a correct and theological understanding. This study aims to explore the meaning of meditation from a biblical perspective, specifically based on Psalm 119:15, and to distinguish it from non-Christian meditation practices. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method and exegetical analysis of biblical texts. The results of the study show that meditation in Christianity centres on reflecting on the Word of God as a means of deepening one's relationship with God and forming a spiritual life rooted in divine truth. Thus, Christian meditation has a strong biblical foundation and differs fundamentally from other religious meditations, particularly in its focus, object of reflection, and spiritual purpose.

Abstract

The post-truth era has challenged the epistemological foundations of Christians by making personal perspectives, individual feelings or emotions, even subjective opinions, and popular narratives the new standards of truth. This distorts the meaning of objective truth or biblical truth, which should be rooted in the Word of God. This article proposes creation theology as an alternative epistemological paradigm to address this crisis. By emphasising God as the Creator and Source of all truth, creation theology provides a solid ontological and epistemological foundation for understanding truth that is stable, integral, and transcendent. This approach is based on qualitative-descriptive methodology through a literature review of theological texts and the post-truth paradigm. It can be concluded that the characteristics and epistemological implications of the post-truth era highlight the crucial role of creation theology as a reference or ontological and epistemological foundation for truth. Christian epistemology from the perspective of creation theology serves as a critique of the relativism and subjectivism that have become prevalent within Christian communities. Therefore, there is a need for pastoral and educational implications for the church: to actualise the paradigm of creation theology.

Abstract

Church leaders who adhere to the principle of absolute power often cause dissatisfaction among church members. This dissatisfaction can escalate into conflict when the leader lacks the knowledge and ability to manage a diverse congregation. In the digital era, conflicts can intensify because congregants can freely express their dissatisfaction on social media. Thus, this research aims to examine and analyze inclusive leadership as a relevant leadership approach in the digital era. This qualitative research uses descriptive and library research methods which will discuss the nature and theological basis of Christian leadership, the characteristics of inclusive leadership and the actualization and implications of inclusive leadership.. The results show that inclusive Christian Leadership, with its five main characteristics, can solve church leadership issues in the digital era. This leadership model strengthens church ministry amid the complexity of social identity, digital transformation, and cultural disruption.
