Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of return on assets and current ratio on firm value in LQ45 indexed companies from Q1 2021 until Q3 2024. Quantitative causal-comparative design used and a census sampling of 45 companies (675 observations), This study employs Tobin’s Q as an indicator of firm value. The analysis reveals that ROA positively and significantly influences firm value, indicating that higher profitability improves investor valuation. In contrast, there is no statistically significant relationship between CR and firm value, suggesting that liquidity is not a primary driver of market valuation. Recommendations include focusing on profitability and asset efficiency to increase firm value, while future research should explore additional variables such as firm size or leverage. The limitations of this study relate to the use of Tobin's Q as a measure of firm value, whereas other methods can also be used.

Abstract

These attributes and offering levels are represented in a value curve. After obtaining the value curve from the industry, the purpose of the next study is to formulate a new strategy for Bimbel YEC with a Blue Ocean Strategy framework. Design/methodology/approach – The study was conducted with a questionnaire instrument. Kueisoner was distributed to three groups of respondents, namely groups of respondents who gave their ratings on an ideal tutoring, a group of consumer tutoring in Yogyakarta, and consumers of Bimbel YEC. The results of the data from the first and third groups are compared, then the analysis is carried out to determine recommendations for adjustments to the offering level of each Bimbel YECs’ attribute. Adjustments are made with three main considerations. First, the difference in the expectation value of respondents with the Bimbel YECs' offering level was compared with the standard deviation of respondents' expectations. If the difference is larger than the standard deviation, an adjustment in the offering level needs to be done. The offering level is maintained if the difference between these two values is less than the standard deviation. The second consideration is made to the resources and the potential costs needed for each choice of adjustment action, especially in improving and adding attributes. The third consideration is done by comparing the offers from competitors and independent learning strategic groups whose assessments are obtained from the results of the focus group discussion. Originality - Formulation new strategy with blue ocean strategy framework for Bimbel YEC Findings and Discussion – The results of this study are recommendations for new strategies for Bimbel YEC. The guidance process is done by a combination of offline learning and online media. This offer is not given by competitors or independent learning strategic groups. Bimbel YEC can be a learning guide with clearer positioning and can provide services with "cerdas mencerdaskan" Conclusion – Bimbel YEC is recommended to focus on offering programs for grades 6, 9 and 12 for guidance on national exam preparation. In addition to the high demand of consumers, this can also increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the use of existing resources, have the opportunity to open new markets, and minimize costs incurred.

Abstract

Development inequality remains a persistent issue in many regions, often stemming from imbalanced policy implementation and regional disparities. Youth, as a socially and economically vulnerable group, are particularly affected by such conditions. This study aims to analyze the responses of young people in East Java Province to local development policies. Using a descriptive qualitative approach supported by surveys and literature review, the research explores perceptions and experiences of youth toward government-led development initiatives. The findings reveal that, overall, youth in East Java demonstrate a positive attitude toward regional development policies, acknowledging improvements in infrastructure, education, and public services. However, significant concerns remain, particularly regarding the limited and indirect impact of such policies on employment opportunities. Many young people, especially those from rural areas, express dissatisfaction with the lack of accessible jobs, which compels them to migrate to urban centers or other provinces in search of better economic prospects. This phenomenon highlights a critical gap in inclusive development planning. The study underscores the urgent need for strategic policy reforms aimed at reducing regional disparities and enhancing youth participation in local development. One recommended approach is the acceleration of development in underdeveloped areas by optimizing local potentials such as agriculture, creative industries, and rural-based manufacturing. Strengthening these sectors can not only create sustainable employment but also curb youth migration and promote balanced regional growth. The study contributes to the discourse on youth-oriented development and serves as a reference for policymakers seeking inclusive and equitable development strategies.
