Abstract

The density of flies in an area, is greatly influenced by: breeding places, sunlight, temperature and humidity. The density of flies will be high if the temperature is between 20-250C, with the humidity that the fly likes is 90%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of distance, temperature and air humidity on flies density in temporary landfill of kemasan village kediri city. Analytical survey research methods with cross sectional approach. The study population was all buildings in the the eastern area of the temporary landfill kemasan village in Kediri City totaling 349 buildings. The sample in this study amounted to 186 buildings with a stratified random samplingtechnique. The independent variable is distance, temperature and humidity while the dependent variable is the density of flies. Data is collected by observation and processed by multiple linear regression statistical tests. The results showed the sampling distance ranging from a radius of 50m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, and 500m. The research temperature was obtained the lowest temperature of 25.50C and the highest temperature of 32.50C. Humidity shows the lowest humidity is 51% and the highest humidity is 82%. The density of flies has the lowest density of 1 animal and the highest density of 20 animals with an average of 9 animals per region. There are Effect of Distance, Temperature and Air Humidity on The Density of Flies in Temporary Landfill Kemasan Village Kediri City 2019 (p value 0.001 <0.005 then H1 is accepted). It was concluded that the density of flies occurs not only due to the factors above but depends on the environmental conditions that exist in the region such of the street vendors. It is expected that the cleaning and gardening service will increase the participation of officials and the community in efforts to reduce the population of flies and there are not even flies in the kemasan area.

Abstract

Vector-borne diseases that are still a public health problem in Indonesia are dengue fever, malaria and filariasis. Utilization of fish as natural predators of mosquito larvae such as sepat fish (Trichogaster trichopterus) and tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one way of biological control that is easy for the community to do. This study aims to determine the predation power of sepat fish (Trichogaster trichopterus) and tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) against mosquito larvae as an effort to control vectors. This type of research is experimental using the One shoot case study design. The variables of this study were 9 mosquito larvae, sepat fish (Trichogaster trichopterus) and tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) each. Each time the observation used 100 mosquito larvae and was carried out 9 repetitions. Observations were made for 1, 2, 4 and 6 hours. Data analysis used the Independent Samples Test. The results of the Independent Samples Test obtained a p value of 0.000, proving that there is a difference between the predation power of sepat fish (Trichogaster trichopterus) and tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) against mosquito larvae. According to this study, the best predatory fish is tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). It is recommended that the public use predatory fish in an effort to control diseases caused by mosquitoes

The poor  of physical environment is the main factor causing the development bacteria of TB (mycobacterium tuberculosis). Mycobacterium tuberculosis will accumulate more and more in a poor environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the physical environment on the Incidence of Tuberculosis in Wonorejo, Kediri Regency. The research design used was case control with a population consisting of two groups, namely all people with sputum examination results (BTA +) as the case group and people with sputum examination results (BTA -) as the control group. A sample of 40 respondents was taken by simple random sampling. The independent variable is the physical environment of the house (ventilation, floor type and occupancy density) with the dependent variable being the incidence of tuberculosis. Data was collected using observation sheets. The results of the simultaneous analysis show that there is a significant influence between the physical environment and the incidence of TB (p-value = 0.000), while partially the physical condition of the house, namely ventilation, p-value = 0.00 and occupancy density, p-value = 0.044 each had an effect on the incidence of tuberculosis, but the type of floor (p-value = 0.999) had no effect on the incidence of TB. The condition of the house that does not meet the healthy requirements, especially in terms of ventilation and occupancy density, makes the bacteria that cause TB able to live and multiply. is on the decline.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that can attack people of all ages caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Parental knowledge plays a role in parental behavior and awareness of disease prevention efforts. Exposure to cigarettes causes a decrease in the immune system, making it susceptible to disease. Nutritional status also plays a role in the body's immunity, where a body with good nutritional intake will strengthen the body's immunity so that it can attack incoming foreign antigens. BCG immunization is a basic immunization that must be given to children to help prevent tuberculosis. The purpose the research to find out the determinants of the incidence of pulmonary TB in children aged 0-14 years in the Sukorame Community Health Center UPTD Working Area. This research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional method. The research samples were positive TB sufferers and TB suspects who were recorded in children's TB reports in the Sukorame Community Health Center working area. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data analysis used SPSS software with the chi square statistical test. Results: Based on the results of the chi square test, it was found that parents' knowledge about pulmonary TB had a p-value of 0.059 for children, family smoking habits had a p-value of 0.021 for children, children's nutritional status had a p-value of 1.000 for children, and children's BCG immunization status had a p-value of 0.577 for children's pulmonary TB. It can be concluded that the variable family smoking habits is related to the incidence of pulmonary TB in children, while the variables of knowledge, nutritional status and BCG immunization have no relationship.
