Abstract

Bukit Tunggal is one of the densely populated residential areas where there are many barracks, inhabited by many housewives of productive age between 30-46 years old with an average junior high school education who have a lot of free time. Housewives generally take care of the household with a junior high school education without adequate skills. After the pandemic, people tend to be more creative and can be creative to outsmart the existing situation, including in maintaining access to food. People are expected to have the awareness to do independent planting, at least to fulfil their own food needs. There are many ways to do independent planting, such as urban gardening, which is the concept of gardening on limited urban land, which is the right solution for community members, especially housewives, in helping to improve family food security. Therefore, it is necessary to provide knowledge and understanding training to partners so that they are able to master this urban gardening pattern including: (1) preparation, namely preparing training modules, basic knowledge of urban gardening and trials; (2) training implementation: potential vegetables, urban gardening planting methods and media, and direct practice to partners; (3) Partner assistance, and (4) evaluation. The results of vegetable crops that are usually grown include mustard greens, spinach, lettuce, kale, tomatoes and others.

Abstract

Taman Perkotaan merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam perencanaan RTH suatu ruang kota. Ruang ini berfungsi untuk menjaga keseimbangan alam dan kualitas lingkungan perkotaan. Karena fungsinya tersebut, maka ruang tersebut harus berada dalam jumlah yang cukup di kota dan menjadi tuntutan bagi kota di Indonesia untuk berusaha menambah dan meningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas taman perkotaan. Keberadaan taman kota secara tidak langsung dapat dijadikan indikator kenyamanan suatu kota. Kota Palangka Raya mengalami permasalahan dalam hal penggunaan ruang publik. Hal tersebut dikarenakan perkembangan ibukota provinsi Kalimantan Tengah masuk pada tahap perkembangan dari kota sedang menuju ke kota besar. Semakin terbatasnya lahan di kawasan perkotaan oleh karena pesatnya pertumbuhan jumlah bangunan berakibat manusia sulit mendapatkan area terbuka untuk menikmati suasana alam yang asri dan segar. Taman Hidroponik merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi persoalan di atas. Hadirnya teknologi tersebut juga menjawab tantangan terhadap kebutuhan taman di perkotaan untuk mendapatkan suasana segar dan nyaman bagi pengunjung. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode secara kualitatif dimaksudkan untuk mengangkat fakta, keadaan, variabel dan fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi terhadap keberadaan Taman Perkotaan dimana dikarenakan pertumbuhan penduduk dan keterbatasan lahan sehingga perlu desain taman hidroponik di Kota Palangka Raya sehingga bisa dijadikan model untuk diterapkan pada suatu kawasan yang bisa menajadi fasilitas umum yang memadukan unsur edukasi sekaligus rekreasi serta memotivasi masyarakat untuk bisa berkreasi pada lahan-lahan sempit yang terdapat di perkotaan.

Abstract

Slums always can be found in big cities in Indonesia, as a result of the impact of urbanization. This slum settlement is identical to the conditions of inadequate environmental infrastructure including the condition of houses that are almost uninhabitable. Physically, most of the house buildings use used materials. Materials such as wood / used beams for house frame structures, used boards mixed with used zinc and rust for walls, and used zinc (metal or plastic) and straw for roof coverings. The cumulative impact of the existence of these slums is a decrease in the visual quality of the urban built environment and a decrease in the quality of the health of the urban built environment. as a solution, it was stated that the model of the Simple Healthy Sustainable House of Local Bamboo Construction in this case bamboo that grows in Central Kalimantan.At present most of the design of cheap bamboo-based houses is using Petung Bamboo (Dendrocalamus Asper), while on the island of Kalimantan this type of bamboo has very little population. For this reason, it has been researched and modeled for sustainable healthy simple houses using local bamboo species whose populations are widely available in Central Kalimantan such as Suluk Bamboo (Gigantochloa Levis (Blanco)), Tamiang Bamboo (Schizotachyum Blumei Nees) and Yellow Bamboo (Bambusa Vulgaris Schard). The three types of bamboo are determined as a component of the Sustainable Healthy Simple Houses Construction, namely as Main Column component, Supporting Columns, Frame and Wall Coverings, and also as Ring Balk.
