Abstract

Sebagai ibu kota terluas di Indonesia, Palangka Raya menyimpan kekayaan potensi pariwisata, mulai dari alam hingga budayanya, termasuk ragam kuliner yang merupakan warisan budaya lokal. Menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari pariwisata, kuliner mampu menjadi daya tarik pendukung suatu destinasi, apalagi dengan kekhasan yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi kuliner yang ada di Palangka Raya, khususnya kuliner tradisional khas Dayak-Kalimantan Tengah untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai daya tarik pendukung destinasi pariwisatanya. Metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi kasus digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di objek penelitian, wawancara dengan para stakeholders dan wisatawan sebagai informan, dan didukung dengan sumber dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan teknik interaktif, yaitu data collection, data condensation, data display, dan conclusion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa industri kuliner di Palangka Raya mulai berkembang dengan menjamurnya para pelaku usaha kuliner. Namun demikian, hanya sebagian yang memanfaatkan kekayaan kuliner tradisional yang seharusnya mampu menjadi daya tarik pendukung, bahkan utama dalam memotivasi wisatawan untuk berkunjung karena sifatnya yang unik dan khas sehingga cenderung diminati. Pemanfaatan kuliner tradisional menjadi aspek penting dalam meningkatkan kompetitifitas dan membangun destination brand identity Palangka Raya, karena keunikan membuatnya berbeda dengan destinasi lainnya. Namun demikian, pemanfaatan potensi besar tersebut perlu didukung oleh para stakeholders yang saling bersinergi dalam pengembangannya. Bukan tidak mungkin kedepannya, potensi yang dimiliki dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan daya tarik wisata kuliner atau gastronomi. Tidak hanya untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat lokal, tetapi juga sebagai bagian dari pelestarian budaya lokal Dayak-Kalimantan Tengah.

Abstract

This article is the result of research examining the effect of comparative advantage on the tourist attraction of the Surabaya Heroes Monument. The aim is to also know what indicators attract tourists to make tourist visits, so that they can optimize these components. The method used is quantitative using the SPSS application, the Non Propability Sampling test technique, namely Purposive Sampling, then the scale used is the Likert scale. Respondents numbered 55 people, namely visitors who visited the Surabaya City Heroes Monument more than twice. The research results showed that the highest Comparative Advantage was in cooperation and marketing ability at 3.87 and the lowest was in organizational ability, namely 3.08. The overall average value is 3.56, which means very good. The highest average value for tourist attractiveness in attractions was 3.79 and the lowest was for accessibility, namely 3.47. The overall average value is 3.64, which means very good.

Abstract

This article describes an edutourism model that integrates management between tourism areas and education as a strategy to increase the attractiveness of potential tourists. The Tugu Pahlawan area of ​​Surabaya City needs to develop an edutourism concept with the aim of maintaining cultural heritage, namely remembering the history of the struggle, and also needs to be an educational medium for visitors. Both of these things must go hand in hand to increase public interest, especially cultural innovation and entertainment. The purpose of this study is to apply the concept of edutourism and management of the Tugu Pahlawan area so that it becomes an object of historical education and entertainment tourism. The concept used in this study is edutorism using strategies from the results of the SWOT analysis used to explore potential and formulate programs. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach by collecting primary and secondary data. The results of this study are the potential for why development needs to be carried out, namely physical and non-physical potential. Physical in the form of buildings, objects and monuments that can be seen while non-physical are the values ​​contained in the physical. In addition, non-physical also includes activities to attract potential tourists such as music, classical drama, bazaars and other education. The potential analyzed becomes a SWOT matrix which is used for the next formulation. SWOT produces development strategies in management management such as planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation monitoring.
