Abstract

Ultisol dry land is characterized by significantly low organic carbon content, an important factor influencing soil water content and physico-chemical dynamics. The addition of N fertilizer dissolved in seaweed liquid extract as an enrichment solution can change the character of biochar. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the characteristics of cogongrass biochar enriched with dissolved N fertilizer in seaweed extract of different species and assess its impact on soil water content in Ultisol. Urea was used as a nitrogen source, and biochar enriched with N fertilizer dissolved in seaweed liquid extract from Kappapychus alvarezii, Sargassum sp., and Ulva lactuca was tested. Biochar dose used was 20% of soil weight with a 10% extract concentration for each type. Furthermore, five-level treatments were tested in a pot experiment, namely (i) without biochar, (ii) biochar unenriched, (iii) enriched with N fertilizer dissolved in K. alvarezii extract, (iv) enriched with N fertilizer dissolved in Sargassum sp. extract, and (v) biochar enriched with N fertilizer dissolved in U. lactuca extract. Each treatment was repeated three times, following a randomized block design. The results showed that cogongrass biochar enriched with N fertilizer dissolved in seaweed extract had a more amorphous surface morphology structure. The proportion of elements and functional groups in cogongrass biochar changed. Enriched biochar increased Ultisol moisture levels, but water holding capacity and retention were lower than the unenriched sample.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis ringkasan teks eksplanasi menggunakan model SQ3R berbantuan mind mapping. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan siklus Arikunto yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX-I SMPN 13 Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara, tes, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan dengan instrumen observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan menulis ringkasan. Pada siklus I, persentase keterampilan siswa sebesar 73,35 persen, meningkat menjadi 90,1 persen pada siklus II. Pada siklus I, siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam meringkas teks dan cenderung menuliskan ulang keseluruhan isi teks. Namun, pada siklus II, siswa mulai memahami konsep meringkas dengan baik dan dapat menuliskan poin-poin penting dalam teks eksplanasi secara lebih sistematis. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa model SQ3R berbantuan mind mapping efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami struktur teks eksplanasi serta meningkatkan kemampuan menulis ringkasan dengan lebih ringkas dan tepat.

Abstract

Perbaikan keragaan bibit tanaman jambu biji Kristal dapat diperbaiki dengan aplikasi pinching dan pemberian materi pemecah dormansi (KNO3 dan BAP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui pengaruh pinching terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman buah jambu biji ‘Kristal’.(2)Mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan KNO3 dan BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman buah jambu biji ‘Kristal’.(3)Mengetahui interaksi antara pinching dan materi pemecah dormansi terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman buah jambu biji ‘Kristal’.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan Laboratorium Lapang Terpadu, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung dari bulan Maret 2021 hingga Juli 2021.  Perlakuan disusun secara faktorial (2x3) dalam rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali.  Faktor pertama (P) pinching yang terdiri atas dua taraf , (P1) dengan pinching dan (P2) tanpa pinching.  Faktor kedua Materi Pemecah Dormansi (MPD) (M) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu (M1) tanpa zat pemecah dormansi, (M2) MPD KNO3, dan  (M3) MPD BAP.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) Jumlah tunas baru dipengaruhi oleh pinching lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan tanpa pinching dengan selisih 0,31.  Panjang tunas baru dipengaruhi oleh pinching lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tanpa pinching dengan selisih 3,22 cm. (2)Jumlah cabang dipengaruhi oleh BAP lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan tanpa materi pemecah dormansi dengan selisih 0,28 cabang. (3)Jumlah tunas baru dipengaruhi oleh pinching dan materi pemecah dormansi BAP.  Jumlah tunas baru terbanyak ditunjukkan oleh perlakuan pinching + BAP dengan jumlah 5,41, sedangkan kontrol 4,67 (selisih 0,74).

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the Mathematics Spinning Wheel as an instructional medium to enhance the learning outcomes of second-grade elementary school students in arithmetic operations, specifically addition and subtraction. Employing a research and development (R&D) methodology, the study adopts the ADDIE model, which consists of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research participants comprised 28 second-grade students from SD Negeri 211 Palembang. Data collection instruments included observations, interviews, validation questionnaires completed by subject matter and media experts, practicality questionnaires from teachers and students, and learning outcome tests. Validation results indicated a very high level of feasibility, with an average score of . Practicality assessments showed the media was rated as highly practical, receiving scores of  from students and  from teachers. Effectiveness testing revealed a significant improvement in students’ average scores, from  in the pre-test to  in the post-test, with classical completeness increasing from  to . These findings demonstrate that the Mathematics Spinning Wheel is a valid, practical, and effective instructional medium. It offers a fun and interactive alternative for mathematics learning and holds potential for further development across different topics and educational levels.
