Abstract

Keripik kentang salah satu makanan ringan favorit berbentuk irisan tipis, digoreng/di-oven, kering dan renyah saat dimakan. Beberapa UKM di daerah alun-alun kidul kraton Kasunanan Surakarta setiap sore atau libur, menyajikan makanan ringan cepat saji (fast food) salah satunya french fries. French fries yang disajikan paling banyak diminati konsumen berbentuk potongan spiral. Meningkatnya permintaan pasar produksi tertentu, harus diimbangi teknologi sarana pendukungnya. Keadaan tersebut mendasari untuk melakukan perancangan mesin inovasi yang dapat membuat keripik dengan potongan model spiral. Dipasaran telah ada alat pemotong keripik model spiral tetapi dalam penggunaannya masih secara manual atau konvensional dengan menggunakan tenaga manusia. Rancang bangun ini bertujuan untuk membuat mesin pemotong keripik model spiral yang efektif dan efisien. Metode rancang bangun dimulai dengan tahapan menetapkan kebutuhan, mekanisme, pemilihan material, perancangan komponen, gambar design. Tahap pembuatan mesin mencakup gambar teknik/kerja, pemotongan bahan sesuai ukuran, pembubutan, pengelasan, perakitan dan uji unjuk kerja mesin untuk mengetahui hasil pembuatan mesin. Mesin pemotong keripik model spiral memiliki dimensi panjang 500 mm, lebar 150 mm dan tinggi 200 mm, menggunakan plat stainlesssteel dengan tebal 3 mm, berat 6 kg dan portable. Mesin berpengerak motor stepper Nema 23 dengan spesifikasi 12 Volt, 24 Watt, torsi 0,98 Nm dan kecepatan 100–500 rpm. Mata pisau yang digunakan memiliki dimensi 50x20 mm, dengan menggunakan kecepatan 100 rpm mesin mampu menghasilkan pemotongan keripik model spiral sebanyak 0,8 kg/menit. Kapasitas produksi mesin dibanding dengan alat pemotong kentang spiral berpenggerak tenaga tangan (manual) mesin pemotong keripik model spiral lebih efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based employee leave application information system design at the Directorate of Sea and Coast Guard Unit (KPLP) using PHP programming language and laravel framework as a framework, as well as adaptive and communicative Extreme Programming methods. Manual leave management causes several obstacles, such as employees not knowing the amount of leave remaining and applying for leave still using paper forms that require various stages until the leave report is validated. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study methods and data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was then analyzed using triangulation techniques. In this case, a web-based employee leave application information system developed using PHP programming language and laravel framework as the framework, as well as the Extreme Programming method as the method, can be the right solution to overcome problems in managing employee leave that is still manual. With the developed information system, employees can easily find out the amount of leave remaining and apply for leave online, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of employee leave applications, and the security of leave data. This research is expected to provide benefits for companies and academics.

Abstract

Current technological developments have advanced rapidly, providing convenience and flexibility in various fields, including human and pet health. Cats, as one of the popular pets, require optimal health care, especially skin health. For this reason, pet care facilities are available to ensure such care. However, cat owners often experience difficulties in checking their cats' health because pet care locations are far away and limited to urban areas. This research aims to develop a website-based expert system that can diagnose cat skin diseases using the Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) method. This method focuses on solving problems by relying on solutions from previous cases. It is hoped that this research will make it easier for cat owners to identify skin diseases and provide useful information regarding their cat's health. The research results show that this system achieves 92% accuracy based on expert assessment. Testing was carried out using black box and white box, and of the 10 cases with 41 symptoms tested, ring worm disease recorded the highest percentage in diagnosis at 83%.

Abstract

Utilization of waste for raw materials for new materials is very potential for research. Wood waste from door and window craftsmen is widely available as the property business develops. Wood waste mixed with polyester resin is modified by adding basalt to produce a biocomposite material with better mechanical properties. This research on the effect of adding the composition and size of basalt to the wood-polyester biocomposite material was studied to see changes in hardness values according to the ASTM E384 standard, compressive strength according to ASTM D695 standard, and its effect on density according to ASTM D1622 standard. The results showed that the higher the composition and the smaller the basalt hardness value, the compressive strength and density increased. The highest values of hardness, compressive strength and density were 36.6 HV0.5, 151.14 MPa, and 0.1420 kg/m3, an increase compared to that without the addition of basalt 26.7 HV0.5, 95.97 MPa, and 0.1288 kg/m3. Changes in the properties of hardness, compressive strength and density are taken into consideration in the formulation of using basalt to obtain new materials according to the desired specifications by utilizing wood waste.

Abstract

Pineapples are fruit plants commonly cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. Pineapples possess distinct characteristics in terms of aroma, flavor, and color that are favored by many people. They contain carbohydrates, including sugars that can increase blood sugar levels. Pineapples have high water and fiber content, which can clean the mouth's surface and aid in digestion. The sugars in pineapples include glucose (2.32%), fructose (1.42%), and sucrose (7.89%). The acids found in pineapples are citric acid, malic acid, and oxalic acid, with citric acid being the most dominant, constituting 78% of total acids. The training activity on pineapple jam processing aims to enhance the knowledge of PKK (Family Welfare Movement) mothers in Peuniti Village about the process of producing pineapple-based food products. This activity took place in the courtyard of the Peuniti Village Head Office, Baiturrahman District, Banda Aceh City, and was attended by 20 PKK mothers from Peuniti Village. The implementation method of this activity involved several stages, including (1) socialization, (2) preparation, and (3) Training (demonstration) on pineapple jam processing. The results of this activity showed an improvement in the knowledge and skills of the participants. It is hoped that the knowledge and skills gained will serve as a foundation for meeting the nutritional needs of families while also initiating entrepreneurial efforts.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan program penyuluhan berwirausaha bagi karang taruna Desa Jati,Kecamatan Jaten, Kabupaten Karanganyar adalah memberikan wacana kepada masyarakatterhadap pentingnya berwirausaha. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan dua metode: (a)Presentasi (materi yang disampaikan pada kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah caraberwirausaha dalam bentuk powerpoint) (b) Tanya Jawab dan diskusi (peserta penyuluhandiberi kesempatan untuk bertanya dan berbagi pengalaman usaha baik yang hampir berhasilmaupun yang belum berhasil agar dapat ditemukan solusi terbaik dalam rangka peningkatanusaha). Hasil pelaksanaan program penyuluhan adalah masyarakat memperoleh pengetahuandan pemahaman tentang pentingnya berwirausaha dan mendapatkan beberapa strategi usahayang paling efektif dan efisien di era digitalisasi.

Abstract

Technological developments are increasingly sophisticated in all respects, especially computers and laptops, along with a large number of requests for repairing laptops and purchasing spare parts at the Ayyash Computer shop. So far, they still buy spare parts at random, buy at online stores without any specific criteria, the quality of ordinary goods and do not have a clear price standard. Then a supplier of laptop spare parts is needed to support laptop service activities and the Analytical Network Process (ANP) method is needed, while the specified criteria include quality, price, warranty, and service as well as determining 5 alternative suppliers and assisting in the process of selecting spare parts suppliers laptops for Ayyash Computer shop.
