Abstract

Background: Every medical student has a different level of intelligence quotient (IQ), where IQ they have will help in solving problems, especially in learning. Problem based learning (PBL), expert lectures, and skills lab are some of the things that a medical student will do when studying at the faculty of medicine. This can be a stressor for a medical student who is living his life within the scope of the faculty of medicine. This is supported by data that proves that medical students have high levels of stress, where the average stress level is in the moderate stress category. Aim: To determine the relationship between IQ and perceived stress (PS) in medical faculty students at University of X. Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design involving 162 respondents. Results:  This research shows that there are 57.4% of students who have an average IQ level and a PS level in the moderate PS category of 70.4%. Where the two variables have a very weak correlation when tested with the Spearman rank test with a correlation coefficient value of 0.184. Conclusion: Students at the Faculty of Medicine at X University has an average IQ level and moderate PS level with a very weak correlation between the two variables. Abstract

According to 2021 data, the number of Indonesia children with autism has increased to 2.4 million. Government established the UPTD Autism Service Centre (PLA) which handle early age autism therapy, which later changed to UPTD for Handling Children with Special Needs (PSBK) which broaden to early age children with special needs. However, the long therapy period (6 months to 5 years), limited therapist staff, and limited equipment creating a long queue therapy service, has caused anxiety among parents of Children with Special Needs (ABK). This was a descriptive quantitative method research with univariate data analysis techniques, with univariable: "anxiety". We used observation, interview and documentation techniques to collect data. The primary subjects were parents of ABK at UPTD PSBK Southeast Sulawesi Province. Secondary data is obtained from library materials, literature, previous research, books, journals, and so on. We described the processed data by using tabulation.. The research showed that the anxiety of the parents was predominantly at a moderate level of anxiety, namely 47%. Moderate levels of anxiety tend to make individuals selective and alert. From the results of this research, researchers provide suggestions for parents to manage their stress so that it does not cause anxiety which can have a negative impact on parents, children and family/relatives around them. The UPTD institution for Handling Special Needs Students (PSBK) of Southeast Sulawesi Province may consider to increase the number and the quality of the therapists. This may help in shortening the duration of queuing, having more hours of therapy and making better performance institution. Keywords: anxiety, parents, children with special deeds, UPTD PSBK

Abstract

Mahasiswa tahun pertama pada masa perkuliahan akan menghadapi kondisi yang membutuhkan adaptasi, yang membuat individu tersebut kurang yakin dengan dirinya, karena belum sepenuhnya menguasai keadaan tersebut. Seseorang memiliki keyakinan dalam kemampuan diri untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, motivasi diri dan tindakan yang diperlukan untuk berhasil melaksanakan tugas tertentu. Kemampuan tersebut adalah salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi kegagalan dalam melaksanakan tugas kuliah yang disebut dengan self-efficacy. Self-efficacy atau efikasi diri merupakan keyakinan seseorang bahwa dia mampu menjalankan suatu tugas pada suatu tingkat tertentu, yang mempengaruhi tingkat pencapaian tugasnya. Konsep ini merupakan inti dari teori kognitif sosial Albert Bandura, yang menyatakan bahwa keyakinan seseorang tentang kemampuannya memengaruhi perilaku dan motivasinya. Beberapa penelitian menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa tahun pertama sangat erat kaitannya dengan self-efficacy. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran self-efficacy pada mahasiswa baru Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter di Sulawesi Utara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan secara cross sectional. Kuesioner yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The Academic Self-efficacy Scale (TASES) untuk menilai self-efficacy mahasiswa baru yang berjumlah 236 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat self-efficacy mahasiswa baru Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter cenderung tinggi. Sebanyak 223 orang (94,5%) dari total 236 orang memiliki self-efficacy yang tinggi. Sementara itu, sisanya 13 orang (5,5%) memiliki self-efficacy rendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu sebagian besar mahasiswa baru Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter di Sulawesi Utara memiliki self-efficacy yang tinggi.

Abstract

Masa transisi dari pendidikan menengah ke perguruan tinggi merupakan fase krusial yang sering kali memicu tekanan psikologis, terutama bagi mahasiswa baru kedokteran. Proses ini menuntut kemampuan adaptasi yang tinggi untuk menghadapi perubahan signifikan dalam aspek akademik dan sosial. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbukaan diri melalui media sosial, khususnya Instagram, dapat memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi mahasiswa dalam mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Namun, hingga kini, data mengenai gambaran keterbukaan diri pada mahasiswa baru kedokteran pengguna Instagram masih belum tersedia. Untuk mendapatkan gambaran tingkat keterbukaan diri melalui Instagram pada mahasiswa baru di kedokteran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling method. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (RSDS) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Wahyuni. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan gambaran tingkat keterbukaan diri yang rendah melalui media sosial Instagram pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Sam Ratulangi Angkatan 2024. Sebanyak 191 mahasiswa (80,9%) memiliki tingkat keterbukaan diri yang rendah, sedangkan 45 mahasiswa lainnya (19,1%) memiliki tingkat keterbukaan diri yang tinggi. Keterbukaan diri mahasiswa baru kedokteran melalui Instagram mendominasi pada kategori rendah, terutama pada aspek kedalaman, sementara aspek ketepatan atau kejujuran menunjukkan tingkat keterbukaan yang lebih tinggi. Hal ini mencerminkan upaya mahasiswa menjaga integritas sebagai calon dokter dengan menghindari membagikan informasi personal atau sensitif. Faktor lingkungan sosial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat keterbukaan diri, sedangkan usia dan jenis kelamin tidak memiliki pengaruh yang berarti.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze factors related to work stress in workers at PT. Hisar Makmur. This research is a quantitative research with an analytical observational research type using cross sectional study research design. This research was conducted on the Construction Work Project of PT. Hisar Makmur, Construction of the Integrated Lecture Building of IAIN Manado located in Wori District, North Minahasa Regency, in January - March 2025. The respondents in this study were 93 respondents. The independent variables in this research are workload, work fatigue, age, and salary satisfaction. The dependent variable in this research is work stress. The data analysis conducted was univariate which explains the frequency distribution of research variables, bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test, and the multivariate analysis using the Multiple Logistic Regression test. The result of the bivariate analysis using Chi-Square test showed that there is a significant relationship between workload and work stress (p=0,001), there is a significant relationship between work fatigue and work stress (p=0,000), there is no relationship between age and work stress (p=0,808), and there is a significant relationship between salary satisfaction and work stress (p=0,011). The result of the multivariate analysis show that the work fatigue variable has the most dominant infuence on work stress with an Exp(B) value of 12,200, which means that respondents who experience work fatigue are 12,2 times more at risk of experiencing work stress. The conclusion of this research is that workload, work fatigue and salary satisfaction are related to work stress in workers at PT. Hisar Makmur. While age is not related to work stress in workers at PT. Hisar Makmur.
