Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trade flows (imports, exports, and re-exports) of the world's two largest economies, namely China and the United States, during the period 2020 to 2023. Trading data is measured in USD units and includes three main types of trading flows. The visualization results show that China consistently maintains a trade surplus, with the value of exports always exceeding imports every year. In contrast, the United States shows a trade deficit trend, with the value of imports significantly higher than exports and re-exports. In addition, the role of re-exports in the trade structure of the United States showed a significant contribution, although not enough to balance the deficit. These findings provide important insights for global economic analysis and international trade policy, especially in the context of the dynamics of economic relations between the two superpowers.

Abstract

This study investigates the direct and indirect effects of service quality on customer trust and customer satisfaction in the context of new electricity installations at PT. PLN (a government company), Maumere Branch, Sikka Regency. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through 127 distributed questionnaires to prospective customers registering for new electricity installations. A non-probability sampling technique was employed, specifically the accidental sampling method, wherein respondents were selected based on their availability at the PLN registration counter. The results of structural equation modeling analysis indicate that service quality exerts a positive and significant influence on both customer trust and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, trust significantly enhances customer satisfaction. The mediation analysis confirms that customer trust partially mediates the relationship between service quality and satisfaction. These findings highlight the critical role of trust as a mediating variable and underscore the importance of service quality improvements in fostering customer satisfaction in public utility services.

Abstract

The convergence of psychological principles and technological advancements reshapes how organizations manage human resources (HR). As emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and digital platforms permeate the workplace, they significantly influence employee behavior, motivation, satisfaction, and performance. This study explores the complex relationship between technology and HR from a psychological perspective. Using a qualitative meta-analysis and case-driven synthesis, we identify key psychological outcomes associated with technology integration and assess their implications for organizational development. The findings indicate that while facilitating operational efficiency, technology also contributes to challenges related to mental workload, technostress, digital competency gaps, and organizational alienation. Moreover, employee engagement, trust, adaptability, and psychological safety become critical in maximizing the benefits of tech-driven HR systems. This paper contributes to understanding how to harmonize technological innovation with psychological well-being in HR practices, offering insights for scholars and practitioners.
