Abstract

Real Batam Information Vocational School is one of the schools that has reliable competencies. However, in the educational process, not only knowledge is prioritized, but also related skills and noble character also need to be applied. The aim of implementing this service is to produce a generation, especially students at the Batam Real Information Vocational School, who are not only smart in education, but have a leadership spirit and virtuous character. The expected characteristics include courage, honesty, respect for others and discipline. In this service, the PKM team conducted training for class X students at Real Batam Informatics Vocational School. The form of training is in the form of discussions and sharing regarding how to form a good leadership spirit. Based on the results that have been achieved, after participating in the training held by the PKM team, students are more courageous and confident in their abilities and strengths. Therefore, it is hoped that this training will allow students at these institutions to be able to understand and apply it in their daily lives so that they become young people who are not only intellectually intelligent but also mature in terms of character and leadership in society.

Abstract

Currently, the world of information and communication technology is developing rapidly. There are many platforms and facilities available so that people can use the media whenever they want. Information technology has entered various fields, such as offices, education, arts, and many more. In the field of education, technology can be used in various ways, from creating learning media, learning processes, to presenting lesson material. we just need to choose which technology to use. However, new problems arise for many teachers because they cannot utilize this learning media. Because they continue to use traditional and old approaches to create learning media, the resulting material will be uninteresting and seem boring. Plus, today's students are more focused on what they see. If there is a special attraction, students will learn more. This training aims to educate PAUD teachers on how to use the internet as a learning resource for their students. The material that will be presented can be in the form of recognizing letters, recognizing numbers, recognizing animals, recognizing plants and much more. The results of this training provide new knowledge to PAUD teachers to create teaching materials quickly and easily using various platforms that can be accessed using the internet network. Then Improve the quality of teaching—ECD teachers who gain knowledge and skills through this training have the ability to improve the quality of their teaching, develop innovative learning strategies, and create more interesting and interactive learning experiences for children.

Abstract

The pricing of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) (palm fruit can be aimed at protecting plasma farmers such as setting a basic price so that price certainty for farmers is obtained and production incentives are obtained as well as to protect consumers through the determination of the highest price in accordance with the price in the market. Suggestions for this research: It is better to maintain the quality of oil palm fresh fruit bunches (FFB) in plantations owned by plasma farmers at PT. Adinusa Cakra Mandiri In Sepauk District, the company must continue to help in the selection of plasma oil palm land so that the fruit continues to be of high quality. Abstract

Perkembangan zaman di era industri 4.0 ditandai oleh adanya teknologi yang semakin cepat. Dampak dari era ini sangat berkaitan terhadap kehidupan, pekerjaan dan interaksi dengan teknologi. Saat ini, permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi dari sisi sumber daya manusia (SDM) adalah tuntutan percepatan beradaptasi dalam menghadapi perubahan zaman, karena dengan adanya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menyebabkan perubahan besar sehingga terjadi suatu Revolusi Industri yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap semua lini kehidupan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini dilakukan atas dasar pentingnya generasi pelajar memiliki pengetahuan, kesiapan dan kemampuan untuk beradaptasi terhadap perkembangan zaman yang selalu mengalami perubahan. Selain itu, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) pada siswa SMKS Teknologi Industri Pinggir dilatarbelakangi oleh lulusan dan persaingan kerja yang semakin ketat di masa revolusi industri 4.0 menuntut setiap individu untuk memiliki daya saing yang tinggi dalam dunia kerja dengan memiliki kompetensi. Peserta pada kegiatan ini adalah seluruh siswa mulai dari kelas X s.d XII pada jurusan Otomatisasi Tata Kelola Perkantoran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) selesai dilakukan pada tanggal 25 September 2023 selama 1 hari dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat khususnya bagi seluruh pihak SMKS Teknologi Industri Pinggir. Bagi para peserta seperti siswa di jurusan Otomatisasi Tata Kelola Perkantoran (OTKP) yang awalnya minim pengetahuan tentang era Industri 4.0 dengan adanya kegiatan ini menambah peningkatan pengetahuan, kesiapan dan adaptasi agar tetap bisa bersaing dengan lulusan SMK lainnya saat nanti telah lulus sekolah

Abstract

This study aims to apply the K-Means Clustering algorithm in workforce segmentation in Batam in the manufacturing sector, which is one of the important industrial centers in Indonesia. In facing the challenges of increasing productivity and efficiency in this sector, segmenting the workforce based on certain characteristics is important to help companies manage human resources more effectively. K-Means Clustering algorithm is used to group workers based on variables such as Worker ID, Age, Education, Work Experience, Salary and Technical skills. The data used in this study comes from a manufacturing company in Batam with a significant number of workers. After going through the data preprocessing stage, the K-Means algorithm is applied to identify worker segments that have similar characteristics. The results of the research are that the research resulted in the grouping of workers in the manufacturing industry in Batam into 3 groups, namely C_0, C_1 and C_2. Then the number of workers in the manufacturing sector in Batam City is mostly in cluster C_0 in the category of beginner workers with a high school education level, C_1 in the category of middle workers for D3 and S1 education levels and C_2 in the category of senior workers with a S2 education level.

Abstract

The design of this system is done to develop a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) to help map boarding houses in Batam City. The development of this system is done using the Extreme Programming (XP) method, which emphasizes short iterations, and collaboration between developers and users. This system is designed by providing information about boarding houses. such as, boarding house location, facilities, prices, boarding house photos, boarding house types, boarding house web addresses, and their availability. The main features developed are mapping of boarding house locations with leaflet and OpenStreetMap integration, filters for searching based on price, facilities and type, and the ability for boarding house owners to add, edit, or delete boarding house data. Testing of this system is done using the black-box testing method, which shows that the entire system functions according to plan without any failures and errors. The results of the study of this system increase the ease of access to information for prospective boarding house tenants and provide a platform for boarding house owners to market their properties, as well as attract prospective boarding house tenants. The implementation system is expected to be a solution to overcome the problem of marketing boarding houses in Batam City, as well as making it easier for prospective boarding house tenants to find boarding house locations that suit their needs.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sun Florist is a business engaged in the sale of flowers. In managing its business operations, Sun Florist still faces challenges such as recording sales transactions, marketing and promoting products, and knowing sales turnover reports. In managing data such as product data, ordering data, and transactions, it is still done manually, recorded on paper. Additionally, document storage media such as purchase orders, invoices, and delivery orders are also recorded on paper and stored in folders, thus the encountered difficulties in tracing the data recording process flow due to lack of integration and requiring large storage space, and consumers needing relatively long time or having difficulty obtaining information about the required products. From these issues, this research produces a web-based operational sales information system to assist the company in business efficiency and effectiveness. The research methodology used includes interview, observation, and literature study, while the system development methodology utilizes the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a system depiction tool, with PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database.

Abstract

In previous research that the author conducted on practical work implementation, the author created a system that can carry out attendance using Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) which will read each RFID Identification (ID) or Unique Identifier (UID) owned by each employee. The UID has previously been stored in the program so that it can be detected when it is registered. However, this system has a few shortcomings, namely that it has not been integrated with each other between the main office and branch offices, so the existing systems still stand alone. Apart from that, the monthly absenteeism recapitulation process is also not optimal because it cannot automatically calculate the number of attendances for each employee. Given the problems above, the author developed a system that had previously been created by integrating the two attendance devices with a Web-based database system so that the attendance data for each employee would be directly stored in the database. This data will later be used to facilitate monthly recapitulation for each employee. By integrating the device with a database, the storage carried is not easily lost, so it can be used at another time

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the understanding of SMK Kolese Tiara Bangsa educators in using the COUNTIF function in Microsoft Excel as a tool in decision support systems. COUNTIF is a Microsoft Excel function that can be used to count data based on certain criteria and can be used in various applications, such as academic performance evaluation and data-driven decision-making. This activity included training and mentoring educators on these functions. The results of this activity indicated that educators were more proficient in data processing and understanding the concept of decision support systems. According to training evaluations, educators gained more confidence in using Microsoft Excel to analyze academic and administrative data. Furthermore, the program taught educators the importance of accurate data processing for academic decision-making. By using it correctly, educators can evaluate their learning outcomes in a more structured and seamless manner. It is hoped that this program will be the first step in improving data literacy among vocational school educators

Abstract

Sri Indah Lestari is a company engaged in the sales of interior accessories and architectural hardware. The company faces challenges in understanding consumer purchasing patterns and lacks accurate data to design effective promotional strategies. This study aims to apply the Apriori algorithm to analyze transaction data and identify frequent itemsets that can be used to develop targeted promotions. The research uses a descriptive quantitative method with a data mining approach. Sales transaction data from September to December 2024 were processed using Tanagra software. The analysis applied a minimum support value of 30% to identify product combinations frequently purchased together. The results show that Cylinder Dekkson Cyl, Door Closer Dekkson, and Hinge Dekkson are the most frequently purchased items. Several strong association rules were also identified based on support and confidence values. These findings can help the company design more effective product bundles and improve promotional strategies. The Apriori algorithm has proven to be a useful tool in generating data-driven insights for business decision-making at PT. Sri Indah Lestari.
