Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influences: (1) capital structure influences the value of the company, (2) corporate growth influences corporate value, (3) capital structures influence profitability, (4) corporate development influences profits, (5) profitability influences company value, (6) profitability is able to mediate the influence of capital structure on the company's value, (7) profitability can mediate company growth influence on company value. The population of this study is the entire infrastructure company of the heavy construction and civil engineering sub-sector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the period 2018-2022. The samples were selected using the purposive sampling method of 18 companies. Data analysis used in this study is internal model and hypothesis testing with the help of software SmartPLS (Partial Least Squares) version 3.2.9. PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of the research showed that the capital structure had a negative and non-significant impact on the company's value, the growth of the company had a positive and insignificant effect on the value of the enterprise, the structure of the capital had an negative and significant impact on profitability, the development of a enterprise had an positive and significant effect on profitability, the profitability had an adverse and significant influence on the corporate value, profitability was able to mediate the influence of capital structures on the business' value, and profitability were capable of mediating the impact of the growth and value of an enterprise.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of using retelling techniques on students’ vocabulary mastery among second-grade students at MAN Lombok Barat. A quasi-experimental research design was employed, involving two groups: an experimental group that received instruction through the retelling technique and a control group that was taught using conventional methods. The population consisted of all second-grade students, while the sample included two classes selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure changes in vocabulary mastery. The results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental group’s vocabulary performance, with an average post-test score of 71.84, compared to the control group’s score of 62.08. The paired sample t-test analysis revealed a t-value of 3.583, which is higher than the critical t-table value of 2.069, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀). These findings align with previous studies by Mursilah (2016), Nursanti (2014), and Fadilaturrahmah (2022), which also reported that retelling techniques enhance students’ language skills, particularly vocabulary acquisition and comprehension. Moreover, this result supports the theoretical framework proposed by Idayani & Fitri (2021), who emphasized the effectiveness of retelling in creating a more interactive and student-centered learning environment. In conclusion, the retelling technique has a significant positive impact on students’ vocabulary mastery. Therefore, it is recommended for English teachers as an engaging and effective strategy to improve vocabulary learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative pre-experimental type which aims to determine the influence of Language Monopoly (Monoba) media on the activeness of learning Indonesian for class IV students. The research design used was one group pretest-posttest with a total of 22 students selected based on cluster sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used were pretest and posttest with 20 statement questions each in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the analysis before the introduction of Monoba media, the average student pretest score was 53.40 and after the application of Monoba media, students' learning activity increased with a posttest average of 65.22. Thus, it can be concluded that Monoba media has an influence on the activeness of learning Indonesian for class IV students at SD Negeri 53 Latekko. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis kuantitatif pra-eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Monopoli Bahasa (Monoba) terhadap keaktifan belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 22 orang yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pretest dan posttest dengan masing-masing soal pernyataan sebanyak 20 soal berbentuk angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sebelum pengenalan media Monoba, rata-rata nilai pretest siswa sebesar 53,40 dan setelah penerapan media Monoba, aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat dengan rata-rata posttest sebesar 65,22. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Monoba memiliki pengaruh terhadap keaktifan belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 53 Latekko.
