Abstract

Early childhood enters a pivotal phase of cognitive and scientific development where love and curiosity are essential. The scientific method is used in the scientific approach in early childhood education to encourage children to observe, ask questions, try, analyse and share the results of their research. This method enhances critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. Therefore, the curriculum should be developed with a scientific approach that is appropriate to the nature and developmental needs of early childhood. To develop an innovative and effective curriculum, this study used the research and development method along with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum in Banten are carried out continuously and involve the participation of parents. The results show that the curriculum with a scientific approach is effective in improving early childhood cognitive and science skills. The learning process is designed to allow children to actively participate by observing, questioning, gathering information, reasoning and communicating. This makes learning fun and rewarding. The aim of Banten's curriculum innovation is to improve early childhood education by using contemporary teaching technologies and approaches to meet children's developmental needs.

(pp. 690–699).  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Sitophilus oryzae L.is an important pest in warehouses because it can cause significant damage up to 20% and reduce the quality of food security. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of soursop leaf powder as a repellent against S. oryzae L.pests and to develop effective control strategies. The methods used include experimental tests in the Toxicology Laboratory, Plant Protection Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and sampling at the Storage Warehouse in Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The results showed that the highest level of effectiveness was in the S5 treatment using 2.5 grams of soursop leaf powder with a ratio of 10 grams of rice. Each treatment produced a percentage of rejection that was almost different at each test time interval. The percentage of rice beetle rejection will be higher if more soursop leaf powder is used. In conclusion, soursop leaf powder with a dose of 2.5 grams is categorized as quite effective in controlling rice beetle pests (Sitophilus oryzae L.).

Abstract

Eaery child has innate abilities, one of which is creative thinking. Creative thinking is a stage that can be utilized by young children to solve problems they face. Stimulating children to develop creative thinking involves channeling their ideas through play activities, making them trained to develop their creative thinking abilities and learn to solve problems they encounter. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of play-based learning on the creative thinking abilities of young children. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The results show that through play activities, children can create various creations based on their own ideas or thoughts, which are then applied through games. With creative thinking abilities, children also become trained and accustomed to solving problems they face. Play-based learning is proven to enhance creative thinking abilities in young children. The conclusion of this study is that play-based learning can enhance the creative thinking abilities of young children. Various types of games such as Loose Parts Play, playing with playdough, and "What If" can be utilized to develop children's creativity.
