Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) developments in foreign exchange reserves, current account balance, capital transaction and foreign debt; 2) the influence of the current account balance, capital transactions and foreign debt on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. The data used is secondary data in the form of time series. The results of the study found that: 1) the average development of Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves during the period 1998-2016 was 31.60 percent per year, the current account balance was -28 percent per year, the capital account balance was 46 percent per year and foreign debt was 6.07 percent experienced a surplus from year to year but there was a deficit over the past five years; 2) Simultaneously, the current account balance, capital transactions and foreign debt have a significant effect on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. However, only partially, the capital account balance and foreign debt have a significant effect on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the characteristics of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs; 2) factors affecting the production of cinnamon syrup and 3) the prospect of developing the cinnamon syrup industry in Kerinci Regency. The data used are primary data based on surveys of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs. Data were analyzed descriptively, multiple regression analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of the study found: 1) The age of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs is generally in the productive age. The education level of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs is relatively good. More than half (60.00 percent) have high school education and above. The average income of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs in Kerinci Regency is Rp. 22,833,333 per year; 2) The factors that significantly influence the production of cinnamon syrup in Kerinci Regency are raw materials and capital, while the workforce and the frequency of coaching do not have a significant effect; 3) Based on the SWOT analysis, the cinnamon syrup industry in Kerinci Regency has good prospects to develop

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the competitiveness of Indonesian Arabica coffee in the international market; 2) the effect of coffee production, economic growth and exchange rates on Arabica coffee exports. The data used are time series data for the period of 2000 - 2016. The competitiveness of Indonesian Arabica coffee is analyzed by Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). To analyze the effect of coffee production, economic growth and exchange rates on Arabica coffee exports OLS multiple regression models were used. The results of the study found that: 1) during the period 2000-2016 Arabica Indonesia's coffee power had strong competitiveness because the RCA index value was greater than one; 2) coffee production and exchange rates have a significant effect while economic growth has no significant effect on the export of Indonesian Arabica coffee

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the inflation trend, interest rates, investment and economic growth of Jambi Province; 2) the influence of inflation, interest rates, investment on economic growth in Jambi Province. The data used are secondary data time series during the period 2000 - 2016. Data is sourced from the Jambi Provincial Statistics Agency and Bank Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and multiple regression models. The results of the study found: 1) the average inflation in Jambi Province was 7.64 percent per year, credit interest rates were 13.67 percent per year, investment development was 15.33 percent per year, and economic growth was 5.45 percent per year; 2) Simultaneously, inflation, lending and investment interest rates have a significant effect on economic growth in Jambi Province. Partially, credit interest rates have a significant negative effect and investment has a significant positive effect on economic growth in Jambi Province. Conversely inflation does not have a significant effect.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To analyze and determine the development of per capita income, capital expenditure, and poverty levels on the island of Sumatra. 2) To analyze and determine the effect of per capita income and capital expenditure on poverty levels in Sumatra Island. The research analysis tool used panel data regression analysis tools. Based on the results of panel data regression, it can be concluded that per capita income and capital expenditure on the poverty level together have a significant effect. Whereas partially only the per capita income variable had a significant and negative effect on the poverty level, while capital expenditure had no significant and positive effect on the poverty level. Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To analyze the development of interest rates on credit, inflation, economic growth, and demand for credit in banks at BPR Tanggo Rajo. and 2) To analyze the effect of the interest rate on credit, inflation, and economic growth on the demand for bank credit in banks at BPR Tanggo Rajo. Based on the simultaneous test results, the variables of credit interest rates, inflation, and economic growth together have a significant effect on credit demand at BPR Tanggo Rajo. Whereas in the partial only variable interest rates and economic growth have a significant and negative effect on credit demand at BPR Tanggo Rajo, while the inflation variable does not have a significant and negative effect on credit demand for BPR Tanggo Rajo. Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To analyze the conditions of economic growth, the average length of schooling, unemployment rate, the poverty rate in Jambi Province 2001-2018. 2) To analyze the effects of economic growth, the average length of schooling, and the unemployment rate on poverty levels in Jambi Province in the period 2001-2018. The research analysis tool uses multiple linear regression analysis tools. Based on the results of the simultaneous test that economic growth, the average length of schooling, and unemployment rate together have a significant effect on poverty levels in Jambi Province, while the partial test results say that the significant effect on poverty levels is the variable of economic growth and the average length of the school. Then the results of the determination test indicate that the level of poverty is influenced by the independent variables in this study that is equal to 60.7 percent. Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) sources of financing for fiscal decentralization, GRDP and poverty levels of regencies / cities in Jambi Province (2) the effect of sources of fiscal decentralization financing on gross domestic product in regencies and cities in Jambi Province (3) the effect of fiscal decentralization financing sources towards poverty levels in regencies and cities in Jambi Province. The analysis period is 2007 - 2013. To analyze the influence of the sources of fiscal decentralization funding on GRDP and poverty levels, using two panel data regression models. The results of the analysis found that: 1) During the 2007-2013 period, the sources of financing for fiscal decentralization consisting of Local Original Revenue, Balanced Funds and Other Other Income in regencies and cities in Jambi Province generally increased every year; 2) The GRDP regency-city growth in Jambi Province is fairly high with an average of 6.83%, higher than the national economic growth; 3) In general, the poverty rate of regencies/cities in Jambi Province has decreased significantly every year during the period 2007 – 2013. Original Regional Revenue and other legitimate income have a negative and significant effect while the balance fund does not have a significant effect on the poverty level of regencies/cities in Jambi Province.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of exports to Japan and foreign direct investment and per capita income in Indonesia during the period 1993-2014 also the impact of exports to Japan and foreign direct investment on per capita income of Indonesian people in that period. During research period starting in 1993-2014 where the GDP per capita has fluctuated where the average value is 15.058 in thousand rupiahs per year with an average growth of 16.61%, then the results obtained during that period the highest growth in 1998 is 50.50% and the lowest growth occurred in 2012 which was 8.46%. FDI Indonesia has fluctuated with an average value of 17,804.61 million US dollars and with an average growth of 15.35%. From the regression results on both models, the results found that in the first model the value of exports to Japan has a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita while the FDI variable does not have a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the development of Indonesian labor absorption in the mining sector, and the development of export commodities for crude oil, coal and natural gas; 2) the effect of exports of crude oil, coal and natural gas on employment absorption in the mining sector. The results of the study found that the absorption of Indonesian workers in the mining sector tended to increase by an average of 4.45%, the volume of crude oil exports tended to decline by an average of -5.96%, coal commodities tended to increase with an average growth of 14.49% and the volume of export of natural gas commodities tends to increase with an average of 79.54%. Based on the regression results show that the export volume of coal commodities has a significant positive effect and the volume of exports of natural gas commodities has a significant negative effect on employment in the mining sector. On the contrary, the export volume of crude oil commodities has no significant effect on employment in the mining sector
