Abstract

Vast consumerism especially in the fast fashion industry has been criticised by environmentalists since it increased disposable fashion culture. Social media platforms, websites and apps have become key instruments for communities and organisations to spread awareness and drive transformation in the fashion industry. Meanwhile, due to COVID-19 pandemics, many social welfare institutions suffered from decreased funds and affected protection towards people with low income and specified socio-economic conditions at PPS PGOT Mardi Utomo in Semarang. Leveraging digital media for green campaigns can significantly enhance environmental awareness and sustainable practices among the community. By reopening sewing class and increasing added values in upcycling fashion products with simple stitching models. As supply and demand increased, the upcycling fashion activities needed specific strategies  in ensuring sustainable raw  materials from clothing donation. The utilisation of social media increases people's awareness in eco-friendly campaigns. Wider digital campaign coverage can increase public understanding and participation in donating or purchasing products. The growth of donations through momentum such as Green Ramadan and the introduction of digital campaigns can increase the motivation and entrepreneurial skills of the beneficiaries.

Abstract

Technology competition between the United States and China started to growth significantly at the international level. The United States has implemented highly restrictive policies toward Chinese technology accomplishments. In retaliation, China has responded to US sanctions and limited its access to advanced semiconductors by emphasizing independence and making investments in its own semiconductor manufacturing sector. With both countries imposing tariffs and restrictions on technology companies, the dispute has escalated into a full-fledged technology war. A series of policies have pushed the two countries further apart and towards a technology war. By using power analysis as the main conceptual framework, this research focuses on examining why technology is a fundamental aspect of the US-China great power rivalry. As a concept of power growth, technology accomplishment should not only be positioned as a medium to increase economic interests but also a tool to improve military capabilities and national security. The shifting from technological competition to technological supremacy for the purpose of political domination and influence is inevitable. Thus, technological war and power struggle also have the potential consequences of prolonged conflict and could transform the global economic and political landscape. Abstract

Introduction to the Problem: This article examines the U.S. strategy for countering corruption and the increasing challenges of money laundering involving cryptocurrencies in a globalized financial ecosystem. As digital assets gain legitimacy, they have simultaneously become tools for illicit finance, prompting the need for coordinated global regulatory efforts. The United States, home to the world’s largest crypto exchanges and a leading jurisdiction for asset seizures, has developed a comprehensive Five-Pillar Strategy emphasizing global coordination and institutional strengthening. Purpose/Objective Study: This study analyzes how U.S. policy frameworks, including those under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and Dodd-Frank Act, respond to transnational threats of corruption, crypto-related crime, and illicit finance. It assesses how these measures promote transparency and shape international cooperation mechanisms. Design/Methodology/Approach: Using a mixed-method legal approach grounded in methodological pluralism, this research integrates normative legal analysis, legal sociology, and neoliberal institutionalism to evaluate the adaptive capacity of global coordination in addressing crypto-related financial crimes. Findings: The study finds that effective responses to crypto-based corruption require not only domestic policy coherence but also institutionalized multilateral coordination anchored in international regimes such as the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), and the OECD’s Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework. The U.S. Five-Pillar Strategy strengthens transparency through beneficial ownership reporting, enhances the detection of illicit transactions via FinCEN and CFTC oversight, and reinforces cross-border collaboration through FATF and UNCAC partnerships. These frameworks collectively represent a pragmatic application of neoliberal institutionalism (where institutions mitigate the risks of an anarchic financial order) and sociological jurisprudence, which treats law as a dynamic tool of social engineering. However, gaps persist in enforcement harmonization and data-sharing, underscoring the continued need for adaptive and inclusive global coordination mechanisms. Paper Type: Research Article

Abstract

Through the mandate of UNCLOS 1982 and the 1994 Agreement, the International Seabed Authority (ISA) exists as a regulatory regime for activities in the international seabed area. Interestingly, African countries are privileged over other countries by occupying the most seats on the ISA Council. In addition, the ISA's commitment to supporting the blue economy through the Africa Deep Seabed Resources project also accentuates the privileges of African countries. African countries' technological, financial, and knowledge capacity is minimal in seabed mining. Apart from this problem, this research aims to analyse the fundamental reasons for the ISA's actions that give privileges to African countries in international seabed mining. Using the theory of knowledge-based international regimes and the concept of productive power as analytical tools, this research finds that granting special status to African countries is driven by the formation of shared knowledge and the dominance of the productive power of African countries in the ISA. The absence of a strong superpower in establishing the ISA regime also reinforced the supremacy of productive power.

Abstract

The ATIGA (Association of Southeast Asian Nations Trade in Goods Agreement) is an evolution of economic cooperation among ASEAN member countries which began in 1977 with the PTA (Preferential Trade Agreement) embryonic concept and was developed in the 1990s with the CEPT (Common Effective Preferential Tariff). It has driven a significant increase in intra-trade and external trade in the Southeast Asian region. The agreement was to establish a free trade zone that provides the concept of “preferences” by reducing tariff and non-tariff barriers for member countries in order to encourage regional economic growth through trade creation and trade diversion is considered capable of strengthening the integration of regional regionalism. Indonesia is one of the key players in ASEAN and is interested in being able to increase its role in trade and economic development in the Southeast Asian region. It continues to strive to ensure commitment to implement the ATIGA can be realized by opening the widest possible access for all elements. Indonesians can take advantage of the facilities provided in international agreements. This research uses a qualitative explanatory method. The research finding shows in line with the increase in the flow of goods and services in the region, the challenges of implementing a regional free trade zone are also increasingly complex and causing several impacts that need to be studied immediately, such as environmental issues, food security, terrorism, intellectual property rights, and human rights. The paradox of service versus security in service-oriented trade facilities should not simply abandon the element of oversight to safeguard national interests, one of which is in the aspect of fulfilling human security.
