Abstract

Global issues can capture the attention of the international community and have widespread impacts, motivating groups to make bold decisions. Participants in social sciences play a key role in fostering responsible citizenship, which enables them to effectively address global issues through more meaningful learning, thereby reducing the negative effects of these issues. Social Studies entails the simplification and selection of disciplines within the social sciences and humanities, as well as fundamental human activities, organized and presented scientifically and psychologically for educational purposes. Implementing Social Studies education is challenged by global issues. To tackle these challenges, efforts are required at both organizational and classroom levels. Institutionally, the Social Studies curriculum must be adapted to address global challenges, and the frequency and quality of academic forums should be increased. In the classroom, teachers and instructors must enhance their skills through training and creativity to deliver meaningful learning and contribute to the development of good citizens.

Abstract

Gender equality is a condition where men and women are equal in fulfilling rights and policies. Gender equality is related to equal pay in work, zero tolerance for sexual harassment, equal opportunities in education, both men and women get the same position in work. Gender equality is also related to socialist feminist theory, where the thinking is related to the sharpening of oppression in the capitalist and patriarchal systems which cause social oppression. The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of students at the Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau Islamic University regarding the issue of gender equality in education. The method used is a qualitative. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, literature. The results of this research indicate that students at the Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau Islamic University are in the circle of gender equality in education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure the effect of learning examples of the cooperative script learning model on students' social science, shows the impact on the learning achievement of SMPN 32 Pekanbaru students.This is because students' lack of success in learning Social Studies. did not achieve who have not yet reached the KKTP score of 75 applied by the school. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method was used in this research. The population of this study was all the seventh-grade students, totaling 179 students. The sample size was 70 students: 35 of which were from class VII-2 (experimental group) and 35 of which were from class VII-4 (control group). The students were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data was collected using observation, testing, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques included normality tests, homogeneity tests, linearity tests, hypothesis tests, effect size tests, and N-gain score tests. It can be proven through and data analysis, learning methods nalysis, the cooperative script learning model could affect student achievement. The hypothesis test results proved this, as fobserved was higher than the critical value, 3.202 > 1.691, and the significance level was 0.05 or 5%.which explains that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) can be accepted and the conventional hypothesis (Ho) is rejected.
