Abstract

Twitter has become a social media that is widely used to communicate, communicate information, obtain information, and is often used as a place to discuss issues such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The @erlanishere account is one of the humanitarian activists who regularly posts about the Palestinian situation. The stories presented not only provide information, but also arouse the emotions of the public and raise awareness and solidarity with the suffering of the Palestinian people. So this account is appointed as the Commander of the Netizen Julid Anti-Israeli Special Operations Unit. Only by using the tag, @erlanishere can coordinate netizens to voice the Israeli conflict in Gaza. In this way, the information can spread to netizens throughout Indonesia. The research into @erlanishere's account aims to understand the narrative of Israeli atrocities in Palestine and their impact on public perceptions. Using the critical discourse analysis method by Teun A.Van Dijk, the results of the research on this @erlanishere account were, able to mobilize public support and sympathy for Palestine, through the use of emotional language, visualizing violence, and presenting critical facts about Israeli actions.

Abstract

Culture in Indonesia is not just a story in the past, but an effort to understand how to know aspects of life. Such as values, beliefs, arts, morals, customs, science, technology, and ways of life that have evolved or influenced each other in history, then One of them is through the traditional martial arts culture of pencak silat is a martial art originating from Indonesia, not only martial arts but a rich and multidimensional cultural heritage that has close ties in the culture of society. Pencak silat Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) is the largest pencak silat organization in Indonesia which has the goal of forming noble people, knowing right from wrong, and being pious to God Almighty. PSHT is PSHT is one of the pencak silat founded by Ki Hajar Harjo Oetomo in Madiun City, East Java in 1922. This study uses a qualitative research type with a qualitative descriptive approach. It aims to understand in depth the branding strategy of PSHT Ranting Gondang in building a positive image in the community and member solidarity, with Data Collection techniques: In-depth interviews, participatory observation, document analysis. The results of the research on the Branding Strategy of PSHT Gondang Branch in Building a Positive Image in the community can be understood in its active role in educating, directing members in a positive direction, and not only its role, PSHT has a primary function in the community in changing the image into a long-term reputation for the future of PSHT Gondang Branch. The community also contributed a lot of energy and thought to confirm that the branding strategy implemented by PSHT Gondang Branch has effectively integrated various elements (noble values and ethics, internal cultural values, vision and mission, real social behavior and actions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how interpersonal communication plays a role in the process of constructing self-identity within the “Jemuah Keos” community in Surabaya. This community functions as an alternative social space inhabited by individuals with diverse creative backgrounds, such as musicians, motorcycle builders, visual artists, and subculture enthusiasts. The formation of identity in this community is not solely driven by individual expression but also shaped through social interactions that are reflective and rich in meaningful symbols. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with nine informants, and documentation of various visual artifacts representing the community’s activities. The data analysis process follows the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, which consists of three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The theoretical framework used in this study refers to Joseph A. DeVito's concept of interpersonal communication, which includes self-disclosure, empathy, emotional support, symbolic exchange, social values, as well as reflective interaction and role negotiation in social relationships. The findings indicate that interpersonal communication is a key element in shaping and negotiating personal identity. Cultural symbols such as clothing style, vehicle modifications, visual language, and daily interaction patterns become primary means of identity expression. The "Jemuah Keos" community demonstrates openness, equality, and a critical stance against the dominance of mainstream culture. Interpersonal communication within this community also plays a role in building collective solidarity and voicing critical views on existing cultural standards. The identity formed is not only personal but also part of a larger community identity.

Abstract

Steven Age merupakan mantan anggota pro player Bigetron AOV. Saat ini Steven Age menjadi pelatih tim Mobile Legends Bigetron Alpha. Namun hal tersebut tidak lupa dengan latar belakang -nya sebagai pemain AOV yang sampai saat ini memainkan game tersebut. Sembari melatih tim Mobile Legends nya, Steven merupakan youtuber AOV yang top di Indonesia. Dalam menjadi seorang youtuber Arena Of Valor, Steven Age harus mampu memberikan komunikasi persuasif dengan jelas mengenai item karakter yang digunakan saat live streaming game Arena Of Valor yang ditujukan kepada anggota komunitas Arena Of Valor Regional Mojokerto. Komunitas Arena Of Valor Regional Mojokerto mempunyai 50 anggota. Fenomena yang saat ini terjadi banyak anggota komunitas Arena of Valor Regional Mojokerto yang mencari youtuber pro player untuk dijadikan mentornya dalam bermain game tersebut. Salah satu youtuber pro player tersebut adalah Steven Age. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi persuasif Steven Age mengenai penggunaan item karakter terhadap Komunitas Arena of Valor Regional Mojokerto. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan penyebaran kuisioner dan teknik analisis data menggunakan Spss25. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah komunikasi persuasif Steven Age tentang item karakter berpengaruh terhadap anggota komunitas Arena of Valor Regional Mojokerto, hal tersebut dikarenakan adanya sifat kognitif saat Steven memperkenalkan item, afektif saat Steven menawarkan item yang digunakan dan afektif saat Steven memulai gameplay bermain AOV. Hal tersebut didukung dari persepsi interpersonal anggota komunitas AOV Mojokerto melalui motivasi, pengalaman, dan kepribadian. Dilihat dari analisis regresi sederhana bahwa Y = 22,247 + 0,737X1. Berdasarkan persamaan tersebut maka dapat dijelaskan hasil uji regresi linier sederhana adalah apabila anggota komunitas Arena Of Valor (Y) mengalami peningkatan sebesar satu satuan maka komunikasi persuasif tentang item karakter (X) akan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,737. Artinya, jika anggota komunitas mengalami peningkatan kepercayaan maka hal itu merupakan bagian dari peningkatan komunikasi persuasif tentang item karakter AOV. Komunikasi persuasif yang dilakukan oleh kreator gaming steven age kepada anggota komunitas Arena Of Valor memberikan kemudahan bagi anggota komunitas Arena Of Valor untuk mengenali dan menggunakan item karakter AOV.
