Abstract

The Inquiry Learning Model has the advantage in its application, namely that meaningful learning occurs. Students who learn to complete an invention will maximize all the knowledge they have and find out what knowledge to use. Learning using the inquiry learning model will have more meaning when teachers are able to expand the level of educator knowledge to the basics of theory and concepts. A media will be tried to be applied in the development of learning media, namely in the form of learning videos presented in Microsoft Powerpoint which aims to make learning more effective, interesting and fun so that it can improve students' learning outcomes and understanding of concepts. The inquiry model-based learning video media that has been developed has a design using the ADDIE development model which includes five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Overall, this model shows great potential in improving students' critical thinking skills and is worthy of consideration for implementation in the basic education curriculum.

Abstract

English grammar mastery is very important for Vocational High School (SMK) students, especially in writing recount texts, where the use of simple past tense and adverbs is very important. However, many students have difficulty with these elements, which affects their writing skills. This study aims to investigate the combined effect of simple past tense and adverb mastery on students' ability to write recount texts effectively. A quantitative research design with a correlational approach was used, involving 60 students from 30 Vocational High Schools in Bogor Regency. Data were collected through grammar tests and writing tests, focusing on students' mastery of simple past tense and adverbs. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS version 25.0, including normality, linearity, and regression tests. The results showed that simple past tense mastery contributed 17.86%, while adverb mastery contributed 27.19% to the variance of students' writing skills. The combined effect of the two variables explained 45.1% of the variance of students' ability in writing recount texts. These findings emphasize the importance of teaching simple past tense and adverb usage in improving students’ writing ability. The implications of this study suggest that English curriculum in Vocational High Schools should prioritize these areas to improve students’ ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Abstract

Management innovations in Early childhood education programs or the so called PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) management based on children's needs in the digital era have become very relevant for improving the quality of early childhood education. Technological developments provide opportunities for educational institutions to adapt learning methods that are more interactive and appropriate to children's developmental needs. This research explored the implementation of technology-based management innovations at PAUD Plamboyan 3, West Karawang, and evaluated their impact on children's learning and parental involvement. The study aims to determine the implementation of technology-based management innovations and to identify their effects on the learning process, parental involvement, and curriculum management. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. This qualitative research employs a case study method, with data collected through observations. The sample in this interview consisted of one school principal, five teachers, ten parents, and documents related to technology integration in learning. The research results show that using technology, such as learning applications and e-learning platforms, increases children's learning motivation and strengthens parental involvement in children's education. Curriculum management tailored to children's needs also supports children's cognitive, social, and motoric development. However, some parents need attention to challenges related to limited access to technology at home. This research is essential for the development of PAUD in the digital era by emphasizing the importance of teacher training, increasing access to technology, and the active role of parents in supporting children's learning process.
