Abstract

This research examines the role of transformational leadership in driving digitalization at Universitas Islam Bunga Bangsa Cirebon (UI BBC) in West Java, Indonesia. Private islamic universities in indonesia face challenges in adopting digital technology due to limited resources and infrastructure. However, digitalization provides a great opportunity to improve education quality and administrative efficiency. UI BBC successfully transitioned from manual to digital systems thanks to the visionary leadership of the rector who was able to motivate the academic community. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study, collecting data through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. The findings show that transformational leadership plays an important role in developing digital infrastructure and improving digital literacy. Despite budget constraints, UI BBC successfully developed an integrated learning and administration platform. This research suggests that the transformational leadership model at UI BBC is a reference for other private Islamic universities and the importance of policy support from the government.

Abstract

English grammar mastery is very important for Vocational High School (SMK) students, especially in writing recount texts, where the use of simple past tense and adverbs is very important. However, many students have difficulty with these elements, which affects their writing skills. This study aims to investigate the combined effect of simple past tense and adverb mastery on students' ability to write recount texts effectively. A quantitative research design with a correlational approach was used, involving 60 students from 30 Vocational High Schools in Bogor Regency. Data were collected through grammar tests and writing tests, focusing on students' mastery of simple past tense and adverbs. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS version 25.0, including normality, linearity, and regression tests. The results showed that simple past tense mastery contributed 17.86%, while adverb mastery contributed 27.19% to the variance of students' writing skills. The combined effect of the two variables explained 45.1% of the variance of students' ability in writing recount texts. These findings emphasize the importance of teaching simple past tense and adverb usage in improving students’ writing ability. The implications of this study suggest that English curriculum in Vocational High Schools should prioritize these areas to improve students’ ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Abstract

Fiqh, as a core subject in Islamic education within Indonesian madrasahs, plays a vital role in shaping students’ moral reasoning and Islamic character. However, academic outcomes in this subject often do not meet expected standards, with learning motivation frequently identified as a major contributing factor. This study explores the relationship between students’ learning motivation and their academic performance in Fiqh at MI Darul Quran, Sawangan, Depok. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive approach, the research analyzed responses from 93 sixth-grade students through separate instruments: a Likert-scale motivation questionnaire and end-of-semester Fiqh scores. The findings reveal that while 92% of students exhibited high levels of learning motivation—particularly intrinsic motivation—only 18.27% achieved high academic performance in Fiqh. This disparity suggests that motivation alone is insufficient for academic success and highlights the importance of integrating effective pedagogical strategies, teacher involvement, family support, and contextual learning environments. The study underscores the need for holistic instructional models that bridge motivation with cognitive outcomes, offering practical implications for improving Islamic education in primary-level madrasahs. Future research is recommended to employ paired-data designs to better understand the causal relationship between motivational and academic variables.

There are many incidents of brawls or student brawls that occur in big cities, students lose respect for their teachers, there are even students who beat their teachers if they don't go to class, apart from that, fighting tools and illegal drugs are also used. The aim of this research is to determine the management of Islamic religious education learning in realizing religious character in students. The research uses a qualitative method approach based on field research, research data is collected through observation, interviews, documentation, analysis, reduction, presentation and data verification. The results of the research show that the implementation of learning management was carried out well, the teachers were very enthusiastic in implementing religious culture at school. They always try their best to carry out activities based on religious culture, such as discipline in coming and teaching on time, reading the Koran well and correctly. Before the learning process takes place in the first lesson, accompany students in carrying out congregational prayers, and always maintain togetherness between teachers in carrying out their duties.
