Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) as the basis for children's higher education and preparing a generation of learners who have a healthy competitive spirit is very important. This can be done through science learning. This research analyzes the difficulties of PAUD teachers in teaching science to early childhood. The method used was qualitative descriptive with a sample of 20 PAUD teachers in Mangga Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City. The data obtained was analyzed using the informant review technique or feedback from informants by Milles and Hubberman. To ensure the validity of the data collected, triangulation techniques were also used. The results of the research show that PAUD teachers have difficulties in teaching science, understanding science concepts which are still rigid by following reference books, limited tools, materials and time, as well as applying science concepts which do not yet refer to the early childhood environment. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the competence of PAUD teachers must be improved in accordance with the aim of teaching science to early childhood.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out theoretically that in psychology books and articles on children with special needs found in journals Early childhood education has various research results that explain various methods that can be applied to children with special needs. The results of this research can be used as reading material, references and as guidelines for teachers and especially parents in practicing providing services to their children. The method in this study in qualitative form using a literature review (Library research). The researcher conducted a literature review of books and scientific works that discuss autistic children and their services. Data sources The articles used are relevant articles and books related to the discussion. The sources used are 31 with details of 20 articles specifically discussing autistic children, 8 articles discussing inclusive education and the prompting methods provided while 3 other articles discussing the definition of early childhood education. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study are expected to be new findings and references in the world of education, especially inclusive education, that the prompts method can be used as an alternative therapy for autistic children.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of children whose behavior is not in accordance with the religious and moral values that have been taught. This is caused by the lack of instilling religious and moral values in children from an early age. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in instilling religious and moral values in early childhood in the digitalization era. This type of research is a qualitative using a descriptive method, namely the description of the situation experienced. Data collection used in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study are that parents and teachers use several methods in instilling religious and moral values in early childhood, namely 1) exemplary methods; 2) habituation method; 3) advice method; 4) storytelling method. Educators and parents have roles in their respective environments. Educators play more of a role in the school environment, while parents play more of a role in the home environment. However, both of them continue to work together so that children can have good religious and moral values in this digitalization era.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to write free poetry in class V students of Islam Terpadu An-Nisa School, Deli Serdang Regency, in terms of the inner structure and physical structure of poetry. The population in this study were all 92 class V students of Islam Terpadu An-Nisa School, Deli Serdang Regency, which were divided into 3 classes. The sample was determined as many as 40 students of Islam Terpadu An-Nisa School, Deli Serdang Regency. The type of sampling used is cluster random sampling. This research is a descriptive study of facto exposure with research subjects namely students of class V-1, V-2, V-3, totaling 92 people, carried out in odd semesters, using data collection techniques in the form of performance tests (poetry writing), while techniques data analysis used is descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that class V students at Islam Terpadu An-Nisa School, Deli Serdang Regency, were categorized as incapacitated or inadequate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the influence of PBL strategy on higher order thinking skills, (2) the influence of on Highe rOrder Thinking Ability, (3) to see the interaction between learning strategies and intellectual intelligence, this type of research is experimental research with design Experimental research design. The sample in this study is the IVc class as the experimental class and IVd class as the control class in Parmiyatu Wassa’adah Tembung. Data collection method is done by test, the initial test is done to classify the level of Self Concept, in this case, is done using the Quetionnaire test, then the results are divided into two levels, namely self concept high and self concept on average, always given action with the PBL model and strategy expository. Post tests are given to measure highlevel thinking skills, with Mathematics questions designed by researchers following Olympic and TIMSS questions, which are then expertly Expected. The results of the high-level thinking skills test are then analyzed by prerequisite tests which include, normality test, homogeneity test, and Anava test. Based on the results of data analysis obtained a significant influence on the application of the PBL model to higher-order thinking skills than the expository strategy of fourth grade students of Parmiyatu Wassa’adah Elementary School, there is a significant influence on high self concept on higher-order thinking skills than average self concept average fourth grade students of Parmiyatu Wassa’adah Elementary School, then there is interaction between learning strategies and self concept on high-level thinking skills of class IV students of Parmiyatu Wassa’adah Elementary School.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a model of creative communication through the implementation of sign language learning using interactive videos as an effort to support inclusive education in Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Medan Tuntungan District. In an inclusive educational environment, children with special needs require adaptive and communicative learning approaches in order to interact effectively. Interactive videos are considered an engaging and effective medium for introducing sign language to children, teachers, and their peers. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the use of interactive videos in sign language learning can enhance participation, communication understanding, and inclusivity in classroom learning activities. This implementation also strengthens the awareness of teachers and students about the importance of embracing diversity and creating a learning environment that is welcoming for all children.
