Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan pilar utama pembangunan suatu negara, dan manajemen pendidikan yang efektif menjadi kunci untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi pemberdayaan sekolah sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan manajemen pendidikan di Indonesia. Dengan menggabungkan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan analisis studi kasus untuk memahami implementasi strategi pemberdayaan di beberapa sekolah menengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa otonomi sekolah dan pengembangan kepemimpinan adalah elemen kritis dalam meningkatkan manajemen pendidikan. Otonomi memberikan kebebasan kepada sekolah untuk merancang kurikulum yang lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan lingkungan lokal. Kepemimpinan yang efektif, terutama oleh kepala sekolah, menjadi katalisator untuk merangsang inovasi dan motivasi staf pendidik. Tantangan dalam manajemen pendidikan, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan perubahan kurikulum yang dinamis, memerlukan solusi yang terpadu. Pemberdayaan sekolah, dengan fokus pada keterlibatan guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat, muncul sebagai solusi yang potensial. Melalui program pelatihan dan pengembangan, guru dapat mengatasi tantangan teknologi dan memperbarui keterampilan pedagogis mereka. Rekomendasi yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini mencakup perlunya dukungan pemerintah dalam penyusunan kebijakan yang mendukung pemberdayaan sekolah, pelatihan kepemimpinan yang lebih baik, dan kolaborasi yang lebih erat antara lembaga pendidikan dan industri. Rancangan program pemberdayaan sekolah juga diusulkan sebagai landasan konkrit untuk implementasi strategi ini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, organizational culture, and work discipline on employee performance at Dr. Soetomo Hospital, using the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to evaluate the relationship between variables. Data were obtained through questionnaires filled out by 50 hospital employees. The results show that motivation has a very significant and positive influence on employee performance, with a T-Statistic of 3.522 and a P-Value of 0.000. Organizational culture also shows a significant and positive influence, with a T-Statistic of 3.524 and a P-Value of 0.000. In addition, work discipline also has a significant effect on employee performance, with a T-Statistic of 2.004 and a P-Value of 0.046. However, the effect of motivation on work discipline is not significant at the 95% confidence level (T-Statistic = 1.800 and P-Value = 0.072), although it is close to being significant at the 90% confidence level. The influence of organizational culture on work discipline is also not significant (T-Statistic = 0.158 and P-Value = 0.875). This study concludes that motivation and organizational culture play an important role in improving employee performance, with work discipline also contributing significantly. Further research is recommended to expand the sample and explore additional variables. Abstract

The Indonesian FMCG industry, especially in the hair care segment, faces intense competition as consumers increasingly prioritize emotional and social values in purchasing decisions. This study examines how the marketing–finance interface supports integrated marketing communication (IMC) strategies to strengthen brand competitiveness. Using a qualitative case study of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk and its Dove brand, data were collected through in-depth interviews with key managers and analysis of internal documents. Thematic analysis revealed that functional integration—through joint decision-making forums, cross-departmental performance indicators, and cross-training programs—enhances IMC effectiveness and enables data-driven strategic decisions. The findings highlight the strategic importance of cross-functional collaboration in developing communication strategies that are both emotionally resonant and financially accountable. This research contributes to the marketing–finance interface literature in emerging markets and provides practical insights for FMCG firms seeking to align marketing creativity with financial discipline. Abstract

Abstract: Effective communication is a critical determinant of performance in public institutions with complex, multidimensional functions. This study investigates the effect of communication on employee performance at the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism of Surabaya City. Employing a quantitative, explanatory research design, data were collected from all 53 employees using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS, incorporating validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that communication exerts a strong, positive, and significant influence on employee performance (β = 0.820, R² = 0.672), with goal setting, instruction delivery, and reporting emerging as the strongest indicators. Conversely, feedback provision and complaint handling remain areas for improvement. The findings underscore the need for strengthening two-way communication, institutionalizing constructive feedback mechanisms, and fostering a participatory work climate to optimize employee performance. Abstract

Technological advancements have encouraged governments to adopt digital systems, including in public procurement processes. However, the effectiveness of e-procurement in improving civil servant performance still requires further investigation, particularly within local government settings. This study aims to examine the impact of e-procurement implementation on the performance of civil servants in the Surabaya City Government. Adopting a quantitative approach, data were collected through a survey of 40 respondents. The results indicate that e-procurement positively influences performance, primarily by transforming work procedures to become more efficient and transparent. In contrast, its influence on the mindset of civil servants remains limited. The findings support the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Resource-Based View (RBV), emphasizing the importance of organizational readiness, human resource competence, and adaptive work culture in the successful adoption of e-procurement. Abstract

This study aims to identify the work behavior patterns of visual communication designers and to develop appropriate Key Performance Indicators ( KPIs ) to support People Management at Ruang Creative Surabaya. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design , data were collected through interviews , observations , and document analysis , then validated using triangulation and analyzed via thematic analysis . The study identified six main dimensions of work behavior : quality of work , timeliness , initiative , cooperation , personal qualities , and creativity . These dimensions were formulated into a KPI framework with proportional weighting , where quality of work (25%) and timeliness (20%) are prioritized , while the other dimensions complement qualitative aspects reflecting creativity , collaboration , and integrity . This research contributes in three ways : theoretically , by expanding performance management studies through the integration of behavior and creativity ; practically , by providing an evaluation framework that balances organizational discipline with artistic freedom ; and contextually , by enriching Indonesian creativity industry literature with empirical evidence from a local design agency
