Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe Muhammad Husain Haikal's thoughts about Islamic government. In this research the researcher used Using a qualitative methodology, this kind of study employed descriptive research, namely focusing on actual problems. Research findings show that Muhammad Husain Haikal was an Egyptian intellectual and writer whose progressive and reformist views on Islamic governance reflected an attempt to bridge Islamic tradition with the demands of modernity. Haikal believes that Islamic governments must adopt reforms to face the challenges of the times, with a contextual and dynamic interpretation of sharia. He supports the concept of separation of powers to achieve justice and believes that democratic principles do not conflict with Islam, encouraging public participation in governance. Social justice is the main pillar in his view, where the government must ensure a fair distribution of wealth. Haikal also does not reject Western influence as a whole, but suggests its selective adoption in accordance with Islamic values. The role of ulama is recognized as important, but they must be progressive and open to change. Haikal's thinking emphasizes adaptation and modernization within the framework of Islamic principles to create a just and effective government.

Abstract

Polluted groundwater can be treated using tray aerator technology, particularly to reduce the concentration of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) in well water, especially in the Jombang area. This technology uses oxidation by introducing air through a tray aerator, which has variations in hole diameter and distance between trays. The study focused on the effect of variations in tray hole diameter (0.4 cm, 0.5 cm, 0.6 cm) and contact time on improving water quality. Activated carbon was also added as a medium to help adsorb pollutants. The results showed that tray aerators with the right diameter and spacing can significantly reduce Fe and Mn levels to meet drinking water quality standards according to government regulations. Parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, temperature and Fe and Mn concentrations were measured periodically to evaluate the effectiveness of the aerator. This study is an important contribution to the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly water treatment technology.

Abstract

Sampah menjadi sorotan utama di era ini, terutama akibat kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah. Paradigma baru diperlukan dalam memandang sampah, mengubahnya menjadi sumber daya ekonomi. Limbah dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu anorganik dan organik. Meskipun organik mudah terurai, pengelolaan limbah organik tetap menjadi tantangan, sering kali dibuang tanpa pengolahan. Eco enzyme muncul sebagai solusi inovatif, mengolah enzim dari sampah organik untuk digunakan sebagai pembersih organik. Proses produksi melibatkan fermentasi limbah organik selama 3 bulan, menghasilkan produk cairan eco enzyme dan residu yang bermanfaat. Eco enzyme menunjukkan potensi sebagai agen pembersih yang efektif dan berbagai manfaat lingkungan, termasuk pengurangan logam berat dalam tanah dan peningkatan pH tanah. Selain dampak positif bagi lingkungan, produksi eco enzyme juga memiliki implikasi ekonomi positif dengan mengurangi biaya bahan pembersih konvensional. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan pandangan baru terhadap pengelolaan limbah organik, menyoroti pentingnya pemanfaatan sampah sebagai sumber daya berdaya ekonomi dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi pijakan untuk langkah-langkah strategis dalam pengelolaan sampah yang lebih berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Ship operational safety has become a top priority in today's maritime world, with the need for reliable and efficient performance. This research has successfully produced Smart Ship Safety through a combination of Internet of Things service solutions and a Condition-Based Maintenance approach, used to detect potential hazards and perform maintenance. In this project, the solution is based on tilt sensors, GPS modules, and windlass hydraulic motor monitoring, which are connected to the engine via a web-based platform and help control the stability of the ship and engine. Model development was carried out using mathematical simulations. Furthermore, because it is based on CBM, another crucial aspect is identifying engine component degradation, allowing for prompt replacement before major failures occur. The final results reported by the project have improved the accuracy of CBM in diagnosing engine conditions by 30%, reduced emergency maintenance costs, and reduced the risk of engine failure or ship braking. Keywords: Smart Ship Safety, IoT, Condition-Based Maintenance, Hydraulic Motor, Maritime Safety
