Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe Muhammad Husain Haikal's thoughts about Islamic government. In this research the researcher used Using a qualitative methodology, this kind of study employed descriptive research, namely focusing on actual problems. Research findings show that Muhammad Husain Haikal was an Egyptian intellectual and writer whose progressive and reformist views on Islamic governance reflected an attempt to bridge Islamic tradition with the demands of modernity. Haikal believes that Islamic governments must adopt reforms to face the challenges of the times, with a contextual and dynamic interpretation of sharia. He supports the concept of separation of powers to achieve justice and believes that democratic principles do not conflict with Islam, encouraging public participation in governance. Social justice is the main pillar in his view, where the government must ensure a fair distribution of wealth. Haikal also does not reject Western influence as a whole, but suggests its selective adoption in accordance with Islamic values. The role of ulama is recognized as important, but they must be progressive and open to change. Haikal's thinking emphasizes adaptation and modernization within the framework of Islamic principles to create a just and effective government.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi merupakan sebuah pendekatan dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan memperhatikan karakteristik serta kemampuan siswa dengan berorientasi pada kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terhadap siswa kelas V di SDN 35 Pammanu Kabupaten Luwu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Pada tahap reduksi data, peneliti merangkum data dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan beberapa data dasar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, guru kelas V SDN 35 Pammanu Kabupaten Luwu melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan memetakkan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik, menyiapkan sumber belajar yang bermacam-macam, asesmen yang beragam, dan pelengkap pembelajaran lainnya. Kemudian, terdapat beberapa metode pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang digunakan di kelas V SDN 35 Pammanu Kabupaten Luwu antara lain: fleksibilitas dalam penugasan, kelompok kerja kolaboratif, materi pembelajaran yang diferensiasi, penggunaan teknologi pendidikan, pemberian umpan balik yang diferensiasi, penyesuaian waktu pembelajaran. Dalam penerapannya pembelajaran berdiferensiasi masih mengalami beberapa hambatan. Solusi yang dilakukan di antaranya dengan mengikuti pelatihan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka, guru harus mengenal siswa secara individu, guru merencanakan pembelajaran yang mengakomodasi perbedaan dalam pemahaman, tingkat kemampuan, gaya belajar, dan minat siswa, guru menggunakan metode pengajaran yang beragam, pentingnya kolaborasi antara guru, siswa, dan orang tua dalam pembelajaran berdiferensiasi.

Abstract

The International Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) is a strategic event to showcase the best tilawah (Qur’anic recitation) and tahfizh (Qur’anic memorization) skills at the global level, while also serving as a means of Qur’anic cultural diplomacy. However, the achievements of Indonesian participants at the international level still face challenges, particularly in aspects such as the accuracy of tajweed, fashahah (articulation clarity), mastery of melody, fluency of memorization, and mental readiness for performance. This community service research aims to describe the process and outcomes of the International MTQ mentoring program as an effort to enhance tilawah and tahfizh competencies. The method employed is a participatory approach involving pre-assessment of initial competencies, intensive training (talaqqi, sima’an, peer feedback), competition simulations, as well as mental and stage management coaching. The target group consists of prospective International MTQ participants who have passed the national selection stage. The mentoring results show a significant improvement in tilawah scores (average increase of 18%) and tahfizh scores (average increase of 15%) based on International MTQ assessment standards. In addition, participants demonstrated increased self-confidence, voice control, and memorization accuracy during the simulation stage. These findings affirm that structured mentoring, based on a holistic Qur’anic training method, can serve as an effective strategy for preparing globally competitive participants while strengthening Indonesia’s image as a global center for Qur’anic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of capture fisheries and marine aquaculture production on the contribution to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the fisheries sector in Kepulauan Meranti Regency during the 2019–2024 period. This research is motivated by the importance of the fisheries sector as one of the main pillars of the coastal regional economy, especially in island regions where communities are heavily dependent on fisheries activities. Despite having great potential, the contribution of the capture fisheries and marine aquaculture subsectors to the regional GRDP shows diverse dynamics due to environmental changes, technology, and socio-economic factors of coastal communities. The research method employed is a quantitative method with descriptive and associative approaches. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Riau Province and the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (DKP) of Kepulauan Meranti Regency. Research variables include capture fisheries production, marine aquaculture production, and fisheries GRDP contribution. Data analysis was conducted using a multiple linear regression model to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of both fisheries subsectors on the economic added value of the fisheries sector in the region. The research findings indicate that capture fisheries production has a significant influence on increasing the fisheries sector GRDP, demonstrating that fish capture activities remain the backbone of the coastal community's economy. Meanwhile, marine aquaculture production provides a relatively fluctuating contribution but shows an increasing trend from year to year, indicating the great potential of this subsector to be developed as a new sustainable source of economic growth. Overall, the improved performance of both fisheries subsectors plays an important role in strengthening the regional economy, creating new employment opportunities, and improving the welfare of communities in Kepulauan Meranti Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of pond planting sites and riparian area planting sites on the growth and development of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza seedlings, as well as to evaluate the survival and growth performance of seedlings originating from propagules compared to those naturally collected from the wild. A quantitative experimental method was employed in this research. The research data were analyzed using ANOVA. The findings indicate that the growth performance of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza seedlings in pond planting sites was superior to that in riparian planting sites with respect to plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and root length. Furthermore, seedlings derived from propagules demonstrated better growth outcomes compared to those collected from the wild, particularly in terms of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, root development, and survival rate.
