Abstract

Audio visual media provides extensive interaction activities between students and learning materials that are easy to access anytime and anywhere. This is in accordance with interaction theory in second language acquisition which emphasizes the importance of response and active participation in learning activities. Through audio-visual media, students will more easily grasp the meaning of the material presented so that students are able to express it through spoken language. The aim of the research is to determine the suitability of using audio-visual media in second language acquisition for Arabic language students. The research uses the library research method, a data collection technique by reviewing books and articles related to the research topic. The results of library research on the use of audio-visual media in acquiring Arabic, students are more enthusiastic in learning Arabic, the process of learning Arabic is fun, students easily understand the material through audio-visual media with quality determination criteria. Several psychologists explain that the connection between second language acquisition and second language learning can improve memory and increase motivation in using audio-visual media.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal and explain the aspects behind the naming of hamlets in Wanurejo Village, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency. This research also wants to explore the historical and socio-cultural context in the naming of hamlets in Wanurejo Village, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency. Thus, the formulation of this research problem includes exploring the language forms and aspects behind the naming of hamlets in Wanurejo Village, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interview techniques with traditional leaders to obtain in-depth information. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this research highlights the significance of toponymy in understanding local identity and cultural heritage of local communities. Based on the results of data analysis, this research reveals that there are three categories of hamlet names in Wanurejo Village based on their morphological process, namely polymorphemic base words with affixes, polymorphemic two base words, and polymorphemic two base words with affixes. The category of hamlet names in Wanurejo Village, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency includes two aspects, namely the embodiment aspect and the social aspect. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan dan menjelaskan aspek-aspek yang melatar belakangi penamaan dusun-dusun di Desa Wanurejo Kecamatan Borobudur Kabupaten Magelang. Penelitian ini juga ingin menggali konteks historis dan sosial budaya dalam penamaan dusun-dusun di Desa Wanurejo Kecamatan Borobudur Kabupaten Magelang. Dengan demikian, rumusan masalah penelitian ini meliputi penelusuran bentuk bahasa dan aspek-aspek yang melatar belakangi penamaan dusun di Desa Wanurejo Kecamatan Borobudur Kabupaten Magelang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara terhadap tokoh adat untuk memperoleh informasi yang mendalam. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menyoroti signifikansi toponimi dalam memahami identitas lokal dan warisan budaya masyarakat setempat.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa nama-nama dusun di Desa Wanurejo terdapat tiga kategori berdasarkan proses morfologisnya, yaitu polimorfemis kata dasar berimbuhan, polimorfemis dua kata dasar, dan polimorfemis dua kata dasar berimbuhan. Adapun kategori nama-nama dusun di Desa Wanurejo Kecamatan Borobudur Kabupaten Magelang mencakup dua aspek, yaitu aspek perwujudan, dan aspek kemasyarakatan.

Abstract

The reason for this research is so that the song “Casblanca” is not only enjoyed as a song but can be enjoyed as intellectual property. The aim of this research is to reveal the lyrics, types and functions of code switching in the song “Casbalanca”. Code switching is a symptom of language transition and is a substudy of sociolinguistics. The types of code switching include; internal, and external. In this research, a qualitative descriptive method was used with content analysis techniques consisting of 3 stages, namely providing, analyzing and presenting code switching data on the lyrics of the song “Casablanca”. This research produces an interpretation of the data obtained in the form of transcriptions of song lyrics. The type of code switching in the song Casablanca is external code switching. The code switching analysis is in the form of the lyrics of the song Casablanca which tells about someone who wants to live forever with the person he loves and loves and hopes that separation will never happen forever and the code switching function analysis is in the form of 1) referential, 2) conative, 3) emotive, 4) poetic, 5) phatic and 6) metalinguistic. This research has implications for increasing the sociolinguistic scientific knowledge of the sub-study of external code switching, especially in the lyrics of the song Casablanca.Alasan penelitian ini ialah agar lagu “Casblanca” tidak hanya dinikmati sebagai lagu saja melainkan bisa dinikmati sebagai kekayaan intelektual. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengungkap lirik, jenis dan fungsi alih kode pada lagu “Casbalanca”. Alih kode yaitu gejala peralihan bahasa dan merupakan subkajian sosiolinguistik. Adapun jenis alih kode di antaranya ialah intern dan ekstern. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi yang terdiri atas 3 tahap, yakni penyediaan, analisis, dan penyajian data alih kode pada lirik lagu “Casablanca”. Penelitian ini menghasilkan interpretasi terhadap data yang diperoleh berupa transkripsi lirik lagu. Jenis alih kode pada lagu “Casablanca” yaitu alih kode ekstern. Adapun analisis alih kode berupa lirik lagu “Casablanca” yang menceritakan tentang seseorang yang ingin hidup selama-lamanya bersama orang yang dia cintai dan dia kasihi serta berharap perpisahan takkan pernah terjadi sampai kapanpun. Analisis fungsi alih kodenya berupa 1) referensial, 2) konatif, 3) emotif, 4) puitis, 5) fatis, dan 6) metalinguistik. Penelitian ini berimplikasi terhadap bertambahnya khazanah keilmuan sosiolinguistik subkajian alih kode ekstern khususnya dalam lirik lagu “Casablanca”.
