Abstract

The emergence of investment features within Fintech ecosystems has democratized access to capital markets for Generation Z. However, empirical evidence suggests a disconnect between accessibility and actual investment participation. This study aims to analyze the gap between investment interest (intention) and actual investment behavior (action) among university students. Employing a descriptive quantitative method with 30 respondents, the research investigates the determinants of low investment uptake despite high digital fluency. The findings reveal a significant "Intention-Behavior Gap": while 85% of respondents expressed a strong desire to invest, only 23% actively utilize investment features. The primary barriers identified are not capital constraints, but rather low "Risk Literacy" and "Herding Behavior" where students rely on influencers rather than fundamental analysis. The study concludes that technological ease without fundamental financial education triggers "Fear of Missing Out" (FOMO) rather than rational investment decision-makin.

Abstract

Bonyoh Village in Bangli Regency has great potential for development in the sectors of horticultural agriculture, livestock, educational agro-tourism, and renewable energy. Located on the southern slopes of the Mount Batur Caldera at an altitude of 850–950 meters above sea level, the village has a cool climate and high rainfall that support the cultivation of high-value crops such as Siam oranges, Arabica coffee, and chili peppers. However, this potential has not been fully utilized due to limited basic infrastructure, particularly the lack of a permanent irrigation system and proper water management. The hilly topography prevents the village from receiving water supply from Lake Batur, making agricultural productivity highly dependent on rainfall. In the livestock sector, work efficiency remains low since feeding and waste management activities are still performed manually. To address these issues, a technology demonstration plot approach, hands-on training, and institutional mentoring are implemented. Appropriate technological innovations include the construction of a well-dam system with a submersible pump, the application of smart farming through solar-powered drip irrigation for citrus cultivation, and the utilization of livestock waste for biogas production. This program is expected to improve energy efficiency, enhance agricultural productivity, and realize a sustainable, zero-waste integrated farming system.

Abstract

Abstract: Water scarcity, production inefficiency, and livestock waste accumulation demand a transformative shift toward smarter and more sustainable agricultural systems. This program aimed to enhance both technical hardskills and managerial softskills of beneficiaries through the implementation of water-efficient irrigation and an integrated smart farming–zero waste agricultural-system. The methods included socialization, training, demonstration plots, technology installation,as well as continuous mentoring and evaluation involving a farmer group(28members) and a livestock group(20members). Success indicators comprised increased conceptual understanding (≥80%), improvement in operational skills (from approximately30%to70% of members), changes in cultivation practices (75%), management efficiency (80%), and waste processing capacity (85%). The results showed a 70% improvement in water-use efficiency, an increase of ±6.7tons/year in citrus productivity, fertilizer cost savings of IDR 5,000,000per0.2 ha, and income growth to>IDR 3,500,000/month. Egg production increased by 20%, ±1ton/month of waste was processed, and biogas utilization generated energy savings equivalent to IDR 20,000perday. The program effectively strengthened beneficiaries’ capacity, efficiency, and economic self-reliance.
