Abstract

This study aims to review the existing literature regarding the effectiveness of implementing constructivism-based collaborative learning in improving critical thinking skills in primary schools. The constructivism approach, which emphasizes learning as an active and interactive process, allows students to build their understanding through cooperation and discussion in groups. This learning method is expected to develop students' critical thinking skills, such as the ability to analyze, evaluate and construct logical arguments.This study uses the literature study method to collect and analyze various relevant previous studies. The results of the literature review show that constructivism-based collaborative learning can significantly improve elementary school students' critical thinking skills. Students who engage in collaborative learning show better ability in understanding concepts, solving problems, and thinking critically compared to students who learn through traditional methods. However, the implementation of this method also faces some challenges, including the need for teacher training, limited resources, and different levels of student engagement. Nonetheless, with adequate support from schools and policy makers, constructivism-based collaborative learning has great potential to be integrated in the primary school curriculum in Indonesia. This research provides practical recommendations for educators and policy makers to effectively implement constructivism-based collaborative learning. Thus, it is expected to create a learning environment that encourages the development of critical thinking skills, which are crucial for students' academic success and future life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui:1) Implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) di SD St Agatha Palembang. 2) Hasil implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) di SD St Agatha Palembang. 3) Faktor penghambat dalam implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) di SD St Agatha Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara bersama informan yaitu kepala sekolah, guru kelas dan guru mapel di SD St. Agatha Palembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Di SD St. Agatha Palembang telah menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis model PjBL di setiap kelasnya. 2) Efek dari penerapan model PjBL tersebut memiliki dampak positif bagi siswa berupa kemampuan berpikir kritis, meningkatkan keterampilan kerjasama dan kolaborasi, meningkatkan tanggungjawab siswa dan keaktifan siswa, melatih siswa untuk mandiri dan kerja sama serta keterampilan penyelesaian masalah. 3) Faktor penghambat dalam implementasi PjBL diantaranya alokasi waktu yang terbatas, ketersediaan sumberdaya dan fasilitas terbatas, kurangnya pelatihan bagi guru, kemampuan manajemen proyek yang rendah, dan karakteristik siswa yang beragam (seperti kemampuan, minat).

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pendampingan dalam implementasi digitalisasi pengajaran dan pengelolaan peserta didik pada masa pubertas bagi guru di SD Xaverius 3 Palembang. Pendampingan dilakukan melalui serangkaian pemaparan materi, simulasi dan diskusi, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kompetensi guru pada penerapan digitalisai pengajaran dan penanganan peserta didik yang sedang di fase pubertas. Selama kegiatan, guru diperkenalkan pengetahuan baru dan diajak praktik mengenai pemanfaatan teknologi informasi yang mendukung digitalisasi pembelajaran, juga berdiskusi tentang strategi dan solusi pengelolaan peserta didik di masa pubertas. Hasil dari pendampingan ini menunjukkan partisipasi aktif guru dengan antusiasme dan respon positif saat melakukan simulasi dan diskusi. Berdasarkan hasil post-test, terlihat bahwa program ini memberikan wawasan baru, meningkatkan kompetensi dan keterampilan guru dalam menghadapi tantangan pada era digital, serta mendukung guru agar siap mengatasi permasalahan peserta didik pada masa pubertas.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Multigrade Learning (PKR) at SDN 2 Sumber Harta, focusing on planning readiness, teaching method variation, classroom management, and learning evaluation. It addresses a research gap concerning the implementation of PKR in elementary schools with 221 class models in remote areas, which has been scarcely studied. The study aims to understand teachers’ challenges and strategies in conducting PKR to improve learning quality. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. Findings reveal that teachers face limitations in preparing lesson plans and teaching modules, limited variation in teaching methods, and ineffective classroom management. Learning evaluations rely mainly on simple written tests and limited use of student worksheets. Theoretical implications reinforce multigrade learning concepts emphasizing thorough planning and adaptive classroom management, while practical implications highlight the need for teacher training and improved facilities. The study concludes that enhancing teacher capacity and providing adequate learning media are crucial for successful PKR implementation. It recommends increased training and resource support to improve multigrade learning quality in remote areas.

Abstract

This community service program aims to support increasing the capacity of teachers at SD Negeri 124 Palembang in implementing deep learning approach to the learning process, as well as strengthening digital literacy and educational psychology. The program is carried out to provide support to schools because they have never joined socialization and workshop regarding the implementation of deep learning approach, also teachers still have limited understanding of the concept of deep learning, the use of technology and the application of educational psychology. The program activities include interactive socialization, practice in preparing teaching modules, and assignments. The results of the program show a significant increase in teachers' knowledge and abilities related to learning process through deep learning approach, the use of technology and application of educational psychology to design innovative learning.
