Abstract

This community service initiative aims to develop young people's entrepreneurial capabilities and access to economic opportunities for the migrant worker community in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. The PERMAI organization conducts training sessions for the participants who become equipped with the necessary knowledge on topics like financial literacy, basic business management, and human resource development. Along with the theoretical part of the program, practical workshops and cultural exchange activities are incorporated, which promote knowledge sharing as well as closer interpersonal connections. This method of teaching not only offers professional qualifications but also helps in breaking the cultural barriers and thus, a feeling of togetherness and a common goal among the participants is developed. The program is a recognition of diverse challenges that migrant youth go through, such as economic and social vulnerabilities, hence, it is designed in such a way to resolve these problems. The results are encouraging — the participants show increased capability in making financial decisions as well as to develop a feasible business plan. The findings underscore the feasibility of the program as an international scalable model for empowering marginalized communities, based on the intersection of skill-building and cultural understanding to facilitate real change.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Management System on Employee Performance at PT.UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi, Sidrap Regency. The population in this study were all employees of PT.UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi, Sidrap Regency, totaling 34 employees. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The data sources used are primary data sources, namely information originating from observations and questionnaires. Secondary data sources are data sources obtained from documentation or literature study. The data analysis technique used is Simple Regression Analysis using statistical calculations using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 26 application.The research results show that the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (K3) (X) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y). the results of this research t value > t table (9,148 > 1.691) and the significant value = 0.00 ˂ 0, 05

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis merupakan keterampilan yang bersifat mekanistis. Keterampilan menulis tidak mungkin dikuasai hanya melalui teori, tetapi dilaksanakan melalui latihan dan praktik yang teratur sehingga menghasilkan tulisan yang tersusun baik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei dengan teknik eksperimen semu. Adapun populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Majauleng Kabupaten Wajo tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 berjumlah 87 orang yang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ingkat hasil belajar menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas VIII sebelum menggunakan teknik analisis contoh berbasis struktur teks berada pada kategori sedang. Hal ini terlihat pada rata-rata nilai hasil belajar menulis teks anekdot siswa adalah 57,49 dalam rentangan nilai 1-100. Tingkat hasil belajar menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas VIII sesudah menggunakan teknik analisis contoh berbasis struktur teks berada pada kategori sedang. Hal ini terlihat pada rata-rata nilai hasil belajar menulis teks anekdot siswa adalah 67,74 dalam rentangan nilai 1-100. Teknik analisis contoh berbasis struktur teks efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil menulis teks anekdot kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Majauleng Kabupaten Wajo. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil pengujian hipotesis nilai “t” empiris (hitung) lebih besar daripada nilai t teoretis (tabel) (14,3136>1,988) pada taraf kepercayaan 95%.

Abstract

This research focuses on three main variables that are assumed to have an influence on employee performance, namely, Quality of Work Life, Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction. These three factors are analyzed to see their influence on employee performance, which is an important indicator in the effectiveness and productivity of the company, especially at PT Suzuki Finance Indonesia Makassar branch. This research is quantitative, involving 34 respondents. Questionnaires were used for data collection, which were then analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis on the SPSS Version 23 application. The results of this study indicate that quality of work life, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction each have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. These findings indicate that a supportive work environment, a sense of belonging to the company, and satisfaction with various aspects of work (such as salary, relationships with superiors, and development opportunities) play an important role in driving employee productivity and effectiveness. All three are not only directly related, but also statistically proven to make a real contribution to improving performance, which means companies need to pay attention to these factors in human resource management strategies.

Abstract

Seaweed is one of the leading commodities that plays a vital role in improving the coastal community's economy and supporting sustainable development goals (SDGs). However, the income of seaweed farmers in Tompotana Village, Tanakeke Islands District, Takalar Regency remains unstable and is influenced by various factors that have not been thoroughly identified through scientific research. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the income of seaweed farmers, particularly focusing on capital, production, and selling price. A quantitative research approach was applied using a survey method. The sample was purposively selected from seaweed farmers residing in Tompotana Village. Data collection techniques included structured interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The study utilized primary data, which was analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24, employing multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that: (1) capital does not have a significant effect on seaweed farmers’ income, either partially or simultaneously; (2) production has a significant effect on income; and (3) selling price also has a significant effect on income. These findings indicate that income improvement is more strongly influenced by production levels and market price dynamics rather than the amount of capital invested. Therefore, strategies to enhance seaweed farmers’ income should focus on increasing productivity and improving market access rather than merely increasing capital input. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for policymakers in designing more effective and sustainable coastal community economic empowerment programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengembangan sumber daya manusia dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kelurahan Talaka. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan descriptive research, yaitu metode yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan hasil penelitian secara sistematis dan faktual. Descriptive research dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik survei untuk mengumpulkan data dari berbagai subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Strategi pengembangan sumber daya manusia dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai dilakukan melalui penetapan target kerja dan target pencapaian di bidang masing-masing, serta dukungan dari manajemen puncak yang memastikan keberlangsungan program-program pengembangan melalui koordinasi yang terstruktur; (2) Faktor pendukung dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia meliputi adanya arahan, bimbingan, pendampingan, dan pemeliharaan dari lembaga terhadap pegawai. Sementara itu, faktor penghambatnya adalah beban kerja yang tiba-tiba meningkat, yang mengakibatkan pegawai kesulitan menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu dan terkadang harus mengalihkan pekerjaan kepada rekan lain.

Abstract

The research aims to determine and analyze the influence of Empowering Leadership on job satisfaction, organizational culture on job satisfaction, Empowering Leadership on performance, organizational culture on on performance, job satisfaction on performance, empowering leadership through Job satisfaction on performance, and organizational culture through job satisfaction on performance on at the Enrekang Regent's Office. This study uses primary data and data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis method used is quantitative analysis, using SEM PLS (Partial Least Squares Structual Equation Modeling). The population in this study were all employees of the Enrekang Regent's Office as many as 115. The results of this study showed that empowering leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, organizational culture has a posititive but not significant effect on job satisfaction,  empowering leadership has a negative and insignificant effect on performance,  organizational culture has a positif significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction  has a positive and significant effect on performance, empowering leadership has a positive and significant effect on performance, empowering leadership has a positive and significant effect on performance through job satisfaction, and organizational culture has a positive but insignificant effect on performance through job satisfaction.

Abstract

The performance of village apparatus is a crucial determinant of public service quality and community trust at the local level of governance. However, in Cempa District, Pinrang Regency, several challenges remain evident, including limited responsiveness, lack of innovation in public services, and weak adherence to established service standards. Addressing these challenges requires a deeper understanding of organizational and behavioral factors that shape apparatus performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, organizational culture, and discipline on the performance of village officials. Employing a quantitative survey design, data were collected from 42 respondents representing all village apparatus across seven villages in Cempa District through a structured questionnaire. The data were tested for validity and reliability and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results demonstrate that leadership, organizational culture, and discipline each exert a positive and significant effect on performance, with organizational culture emerging as the most influential factor. These findings suggest that strengthening leadership accountability, cultivating a supportive organizational culture, and enforcing consistent discipline are key strategies to improve the effectiveness and professionalism of village governance. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on public sector performance and provides practical recommendations for policymakers and local governments in fostering sustainable development at the village level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and examine how employee performance at the Bantaeng Regency Election Supervisory Board is impacted by leadership, skill, and pay.  Using t-tests and multiple linear regression analysis, the study was carried out at the Bantaeng Regency Election Supervisory Board main office and sub-district supervisory offices (Panwaslu).  Questionnaires are the main tool used in this quantitative study to collect data.  65 respondents who work for the Bantaeng Regency Election Supervisory Board participated in the study.  The findings show that leadership has a favorable but not statistically significant impact on employee performance, as shown by the significance value P = 0.080 > 0.05 and the t-table value exceeding the t-count (1.669 > 1.7810).  The t-table value is less than the t-count (1.668 < 4.906), with a significance value of P = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a positive and substantial influence of the competence variable on performance.  With a significance value of P = 0.002 < 0.05 and a t-table value less than the t-count (1.668< 3.243), compensation also has a positive and significant impact on performance.  The model summary's R2 value, as determined by the R2 coefficient of determination test, is 0.843. This indicates that the independent variables of leadership, competence, and compensation can predict the dependent variable of employee performance by 84.3%, with other factors influencing the remaining 15.7%.  Additionally, the output displays a R value of 0.665, suggesting a substantial correlation between employee performance and leadership, competence, and pay.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the adoption level, implementation, and the challenges and barriers to human resource (HR) adaptation in applying AI-based digital transformation among MSMEs in Gowa Regency. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The findings reveal varying levels of AI adoption among MSMEs. MSMEs engaged in screen printing and digital printing have started leveraging technologies such as Bing Image Creator to streamline graphic design processes, while the majority still face technological literacy barriers. Major challenges include limited knowledge, a digital divide between urban and rural areas, and a lack of technological skills. The study emphasizes the critical role of HR development through digital literacy training and technological infrastructure support. Therefore, an integrated strategy involving the government, educational institutions, and MSMEs is essential to fully capitalize on AI-based digital transformation benefits.
