Abstract

Youngsters who have difficulties pronouncing words also have difficulties comprehending and manipulating word sounds. Even if kids grow better at speaking as they age, this may still have an impact on how effectively they learn to read. The present study employs library research or literature review, a method that entails the collection of data and information from a variety of library resources, including reference books, prior research findings, articles, notes, and pertinent journals pertaining to the subject under investigation. To find out more about this, researchers consult earlier research and library books. Phonological awareness is the ability to recognize, manipulate, and break down sounds in words. Even before they can read, children need to have this talent. There are several methods to test it, including examining word constituents, like by looking at parts of words, such as the beginning sound and the rest of the word.

Abstract

To fulfill their needs, humans engage in buying and selling transactions with one another. One of the items that constitute a tertiary human need is dolls, which are in demand among children and even adults. Scholars agree that dolls are toys that are exempt from the prohibition of statues, but scholars differ on the limits of this exception. This difference of opinion certainly has an impact on the law of buying and selling dolls. Sheikh Al Qardhawi argued that dolls are not haram regardless of their shape, because dolls are not used as a tool of worship and glorification. Sheikh Uthaymeen argued that dolls if their shape is perfect and detailed should be avoided to avoid falling into the act of tashwir. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative method to gain a deeper understanding of the doctrines and views of figures related to the research topic. This research is a field research and uses a normative and sociological approach. The data sources used were interviews and a book entitled Al Halal Wal Haram Fil Islam, and Majm? Fatawa wa Rasail Fadhilah Sheikh Muhammad Bin Salih Al Uthaymeen as primary data. And various literature related to the research topic as secondary data. In analyzing the data, the methods used were descriptive and comparative analysis. At the research location, the Istana Boneka Shop, the dolls sold were both perfectly shaped and imperfect. According to Sheikh Al Qardhawi, buying and selling dolls at the shop is permissible because they are not used as tools of worship or glorification. Meanwhile, according to Sheikh Utsaimin, buying and selling dolls without detailed details is permissible, while dolls with detailed details are makruh (rejected) and very likely to be haram (forbidden).   [Dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya manusia melakukan transaksi jual-beli antar satu sama lain. Salah satu barang yang menjadi kebutuhan tersier manusia adalah boneka, yang diminati kalangan anak-anak bahkan orang dewasa. Para ulama sepakat bahwa boneka merupakan mainan yang dikecualikan dari keharaman patung, namun ulama berbeda pendapat mengenai batas pengecualian ini. Perbedaan pendapat ini tentunya berimbas pada hukum jual-beli dari boneka. Syekh Al Qardhawi berpendapat bahwa boneka tidak haram terlepas dari bentuknya, karena boneka tidak digunakan sebagai alat pemujaan dan pengagungan. Syekh Utsaimin berpendapat bahwa boneka apabila bentuknya sempurna dan detail maka harus dijauhi agar tidak terjerumus ke dalam perbuatan tashwir. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif agar bisa memahami lebih dalam doktrin dan pandangan tokoh terkait dengan topik penelitian. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian lapangan dan menggunakan pendekatan normatif dan sosiologis. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan kitab  berjudul Al Halal Wal Haram Fil Islam, dan Majm? Fatawa wa Rasail Fadhilah Syaikh Muhammad Bin Shalih Al Utsaimin sebagai data primer. Dan berbagai literatur yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian sebagai data sekunder. Dalam menganalisis data, metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan komparatif. Di lokasi penelitian yaitu Toko Istana Boneka, boneka yang dijual berbentuk sempurna dan tidak sempurna. Menurut Syekh Al Qardhawi jual-beli boneka di toko tersebut halal, dikarenakan tidak digunakan sebagai alat penyembahan dan pengagungan. Sedangkan menurut Syekh Utsaimin jual-beli boneka yang tidak detail hukumnya boleh, sedangkan boneka yang detail hukumnya makruh dan sangat mungkin menjadi haram.]

Abstract

Pragmatik memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi bahasa Inggris dengan berfokus pada aspek sosial dan kontekstual penggunaan bahasa. Tidak seperti tata bahasa dan kosakata, yang membahas struktur dan makna kata-kata, pragmatik menekankan bagaimana bahasa digunakan dalam situasi kehidupan nyata, dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor seperti konteks, nada, isyarat non-verbal, dan norma-norma budaya. Makalah ini mengeksplorasi pentingnya pragmatik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi secara efektif dalam bahasa Inggris. Ini menyoroti bagaimana memahami prinsip-prinsip pragmatik membantu pelajar menggunakan bahasa dengan tepat, menafsirkan makna tidak langsung, dan menavigasi interaksi sosial dengan kefasihan yang lebih besar. Selain itu, makalah ini membahas peran pragmatik dalam memfasilitasi kepekaan budaya dan mempromosikan komunikasi yang lebih alami dan penuh rasa hormat. Dengan menggabungkan kompetensi pragmatik ke dalam pembelajaran bahasa, pelajar lebih siap untuk terlibat dalam percakapan yang sukses dan sadar konteks, menjadikan pragmatik sebagai komponen penting dalam menguasai komunikasi bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

This research explores the role of syntax in English language learning, particularly for non-native speakers. Using a literature review method, 12 academic journals published between 2019-2024 were reviewed through Google Scholar and ResearchGate, with 3 meeting the selection criteria. The study analyzes sentence structures, including simple and complex patterns, idioms, and their cultural connections. Syntax involves elements like subjects, predicates, objects, clauses, and phrases, and how these elements work together to form meaning. The research shows that mastering syntax improves sentence construction, enhances communication, and helps learners navigate English’s complexity. It also highlights the importance of syntax in understanding idioms and complex sentence structures in both formal and informal contexts. Mastery of syntax is crucial for effective language learning and supports the development of comprehensive language skills.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between attention control and grammatical processing, focusing on how cognitive regulation contributes to learners’ ability to comprehend and produce grammatically accurate language structures. As attention control is essential for managing competing linguistic information, individuals with higher attentional regulation are expected to demonstrate more effective processing of complex grammatical cues. Using an experimental design, participants completed a set of attention control tasks alongside grammar judgment and sentence-construction assessments. The findings reveal that attention control significantly predicts grammatical accuracy, suggesting that learners with stronger cognitive focus are better equipped to detect grammatical violations, allocate mental resources efficiently, and maintain working memory performance during linguistic tasks. Additionally, the results highlight the mediating role of selective attention in parsing syntactic structures, particularly in conditions involving distractors or increased cognitive load. This study contributes to psycholinguistic research by emphasizing the interplay between cognitive control mechanisms and linguistic competence. It also offers pedagogical implications, indicating that instructional strategies aimed at improving attention regulation may enhance grammar learning outcomes. Future research is encouraged to explore longitudinal patterns of this relationship and examine how attention-training interventions may strengthen grammatical proficiency across diverse learner populations.
