Abstract

Using English songs as a medium for vocabulary learning has become an interesting and effective approach, especially at the primary school level. This article aims to explore the benefits of using songs as a medium in English vocabulary learning, focusing on increasing students' motivation and ease of remembering new vocabulary. The research method used is a documentary study that reviews related literature and previous research results on this topic. The results show that songs can increase students' learning motivation through fun elements and memorable rhythms. Songs also provide a natural context for vocabulary use, which helps students understand and remember words better. The use of English songs as a medium for vocabulary learning in primary schools is proven effective and is recommended to improve the quality of English learning, by paying attention to the selection of appropriate songs and appropriate teaching strategies. Further research is recommended to develop more structured and effective music-based learning strategies in Indonesia's primary education context.

Abstract

Youngsters who have difficulties pronouncing words also have difficulties comprehending and manipulating word sounds. Even if kids grow better at speaking as they age, this may still have an impact on how effectively they learn to read. The present study employs library research or literature review, a method that entails the collection of data and information from a variety of library resources, including reference books, prior research findings, articles, notes, and pertinent journals pertaining to the subject under investigation. To find out more about this, researchers consult earlier research and library books. Phonological awareness is the ability to recognize, manipulate, and break down sounds in words. Even before they can read, children need to have this talent. There are several methods to test it, including examining word constituents, like by looking at parts of words, such as the beginning sound and the rest of the word.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the benefits of grammar learning in improving students' writing skills, especially in an English-speaking environment. In the era of globalization, the ability to write English has become an important skill that students must have. However, many students still experience difficulties due to a lack of understanding of the correct syntactic structure. Syntax, a branch of linguistics that studies sentence structure, is important in helping students construct clear and coherent sentences. Using qualitative methods and literature research, this study examines findings from various literature sources, showing that understanding syntax can improve text integration and coherence, enrich the variety of sentence structures, and improve students' critical thinking skills. Based on the analysis, understanding grammar has a positive impact on the quality of students' writing, both technically and content-wise, and makes it easier for them to express ideas effectively.
