Abstract

This research aims to solve problems regarding transportation costs in distributing Pak Yusril's Bread Business by using the minimum cell cost method, where this method is used to allocate bread to distribution areas with the minimum possible transportation costs. Pak Yusril's bakery business operates in several areas, namely: Medan Tembung, Medan Denai, Medan Area and East Medan. This research methodology includes primary and secondary data collection and analysis using a transportation model with a minimum cell cost method approach. The results of the method findings mean that the minimum cell cost that Mr. Yusril must pay is IDR. 163,500 with delivery of 150 baskets of bread every week. This research shows that the application of the minimum cell cost method is effective in optimizing transportation costs and increasing distribution efficiency.

Abstract

This study delves into the complexities of managing employees with disabilities in the pursuit of workplace inclusion. By analyzing existing literature and case studies, the research explores the theoretical underpinnings, practical implementation, and challenges associated with creating inclusive work environments for individuals with disabilities. The findings highlight the critical role of organizational policies, training programs, and accessibility measures in fostering a culture of inclusivity. Furthermore, the study examines the impact of workplace inclusion on both employees with disabilities and the organization as a whole. Key themes emerging from the analysis include the significance of recruitment and selection processes, the importance of providing accommodations and support services, and the need to address attitudinal barriers. The paper concludes by discussing the potential benefits of workplace inclusion, such as increased employee morale, improved organizational reputation, and enhanced innovation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh punishment dan lingkungan kerja fisik terhadap disiplin kerja pegawai di Balai Besar Perbenihan dan Proteksi Tanaman Perkebunan (BBPPTP) Medan. Punishment merupakan suatu hukuman yang diberikan kepada pegawai sebagai tindakan konsekuensi atas dasar kesalahan yang telah dilakukan baik dengan sengaja maupun tidak sengaja dalam rangka pembinaan dan perbaikan agar tidak terulang kembali di kemudian hari, sedangkan lingkungan kerja fisik merupakan cakupan dari segala kondisi atau keadaan berbentuk fisik dan dapat ditemukan di sekitar tempat kerja serta dapat mempengaruhi pegawai dalam melaksanakan tugasnya baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai di BBPPTP Medan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 129 orang dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji asumsi klasik dan analisis regresi linier berganda yang diolah dengan bantuan program SPSS Versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa punishment memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap disiplin kerja, dengan nilai beta sebesar 0,551 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Lingkungan kerja fisik juga memiliki pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap disiplin kerja dengan nilai beta sebesar 0,257 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Secara simultan, variabel punishment dan lingkungan kerja fisik memiliki pengaruh sebesar 59,6% terhadap disiplin kerja berdasarkan nilai Adjusted R Square, sementara sisanya sebesar 40,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diikutsertakan dalam penelitian ini.
